I quickly stepped on the brakes.

"Hey! Watch your way! You almost crashed my car!"

I heard the driver shout, but that is not important right now. All I want is to get to my destination.

"No, my husband loves me...he will never hurt me with another woman!" I mumbled as I restarted the engine of my car.

Because of my reckless driving, I almost had an accident a few times. Until I finally arrive at my destination.

I picked up my phone again and looked at the address in the message.

"I'm sure my husband is not here; someone is messing with me; this is not true!" I utter while getting out of my car.

Someone has been texting, telling me that my husband is having an affair, and if I want to know who the girl is, I need to go to this address.

I don't want to believe it because since my husband and I got married, he hasn't shown any change. He has remained sweet and thoughtful to our son and me.

So I calmed down before getting out of the car and entered the restaurant.

The place is cozy, and it looks like there is a private event because there are no customers, so I went straight to make sure my husband was not there.

As I entered the private rooms one by one, I picked up my phone to dial the number of the person who messaged me.

"So, my prankster is still here," I whisper, hearing the sound of ringing.

I walked quickly and went to the place where the sound was coming from, and when I opened it.

"Surprise!" A loud greet from my husband and Cristine.

"What's going on here?" I asked, my shock replaced by happiness as my husband greeted me with a hug.

"Nothing, I just want to surprise you since we've been busy with our works,"

"Hmm, right! My husband, Architect Adrian Hidalgo, doesn't have time for me, and all he's doing is his project!" I agreed and received his kiss.

"Great! I am happy that I can help with this wonderful night," Cristine exclaimed and smiled broadly.

My husband immediately released me from his hug and stepped back a little away from me.

"Christine, thank you for helping me with this present," Adrian says, looking meaningfully at Cristine.

"Hmm, dont mention it since your helping me with my project, and it's for my tita, so no problem at all," Cristine respond, glaring at Adrian.

"Really? What project?" I asked, not knowing what was happening since I was also busy with work.

"Love, I think Cristine needs to go; ill tell you later what her project is," Adrian answered and put his arm to my shoulder.

"Huh? She can join us in this beautiful dinner," I respond while holding Cristine's hand.

"Then if you insist...ill be happy to blast your dinner date," Cristine reacted and smiled sweetly at Adrian.

"Of course, it's been a long time since I last talked to you. How long have you been here?" I asked as we sat down.

"Hmm, I arrived three months ago, but I've been busy with my studies, so I can't visit you," Cristine answered as she sipped her wine.

"And where did you meet Adrian?" I question while cutting the stake on my husband's plate.

"I met him right after I arrived from abroad, right, Adrian?" Christine answered.

"Ahh, yeah...Remember my project that just ended? She's leaving next to the site," Adrian answered and smiled at me as I handed him his stake.

"You didn't mention her before?"  I say as I take a bite and smile.

"Huh? Well, I thought you already know since you always talk to your brother on the phone," Adrian reasoning, and he drank his wine.

Have you ever felt something is going on, but you can't figure out what? Well, that's how I feel now ... I don't know, but there seems to be a secret between Kyle and Cristine, but I can't give it a name,

"Yeah, we talk a lot on the phone, but we don't see each other anymore. Maybe we can have a get-together someday; what do you think, love?" I turned to Adrian and held his arm.

I felt my husband's muscles stiffen as he looked at Cristine before turning to me,

"Sure, Love, my project is almost over, so I have free time," Adrian resolved.

"Great! I'll take a vacation then," I declared and continued eating.

The dinner I did not expect turned out to be peaceful and fun.

"Cristine, you don't have a car?"  I asked as we were leaving.

"I don't bring my car since Adrian picked me up earlier," Cristine answered.

"Ahh, Cristine still doesn't have a license, so she can't drive," Adrian explained.

"Ohh, Love, you can bring Cristine home since you bother her with your surprise," I suggested.

"Thank's Tita Melissa, and ill be around, so see you soon,'' Cristine declared before hugging and kissing my cheek.

"Love, I'll go home right away," Adrian says before supporting Cristine to get into his car.

"Okay, be careful on your driving," I remind him as I follow him with my gaze.

While watching Adrian smiling while talking to Cristine, I felt a bad feeling ... Even the simple gesture that my husband makes for Cristine is imprinted in my mind,

"Melissa, don't think immoral to your husband and Cristine!" I preach to myself as I get in my car.

"Adrian is a gentleman, and he loved you with all his life, so remove all your worries because he will never cheat on you, especially with Cristine!" I affirmed.

I left the restaurant with a smile since the message I received was a lie.

"This worthless and baseless accusation will never ruin my family. I have a loving and faithful husband...My family is almost perfect," I mumbled as I left the restaurant smiling.

That's what I thought ...
