"Brother, I didn't do it, Vivi did not push sister..." A round, chubby little girl sat on the ground, her big round eyes filled with tears, her exquisitely carved face streaked with tear tracks. Dust sprinkled her cheeks and the clothes she wore were clearly outgrown, washed to the point of turning white, worn for who knows how long.

Vivi looked at the man standing before her in suit and shoes, his eyes, as obsidian, filled with loathing as he emotionless scrutinized her. His voice, colder than a devil from hell, accused, "You're still lying! I saw you push Regina down with my own eyes, Vivianna! You're just three years old and already full of lies!"

Vivi felt incredibly wronged. She pouted, pushed herself off the ground, wanting to reach out and grab his clothes, but before she could touch him, she was dodged by Eden. The little tot had grabbed at thin air, crying so hard she could barely breathe, her speech not quite clear as she sobbed, "I... didn't... didn't push... Eden, please believe Vivi, okay?"

Eden watched her emotionlessly, watching her cry in such sadness. For some reason, it hurt him, but the next second he suppressed the odd feeling and turned to the maid, "No food for her if she doesn't admit her wrong! Starting from today, keep a close eye on Miss Vivianna. Do not let her get close to Miss Regina."

The maid swiftly replied, "Yes, Mr. Carter!"

After getting the answer, Eden left right away. He had just received the news. Regina was sick and currently in the hospital, he had to rush there.

No matter how the little tot behind him cried or shouted, he simply ignored and did not look back once.

Even though Vivi was only three years old, knowing that she had been wrongly accused, she wanted to clarify.

She followed him outside, but Eden walked so fast that her short little legs couldn't catch up. To her dismay, she tripped over a stone and fell.

Her tiny palms were grazed red.

At this time, the two maids in charge of taking care of Vivi walked out leisurely. Seeing her fall, they didn't bother to help her up. Looking down at her, like observing an insignificant person, one of the maids arrogantly said, "Not getting up? If you're not dead, get up and go back to your room! Don't bother our little miss too much, it's for your own good! You understand?!"

The maid's loud voice scared Vivi, causing her to uncontrollably shudder. She quickly got up, slowly trudging back to her room.

Yet, her gaze was always fixated in the opposite direction, following the path of Eden's departing car...

Eden, please listen to Vivi...

Back in her room, Vivianna sobbed for a long time until her grumbling stomach forced her to stop crying.

Getting off the bed and wiping the tears off her face with the back of her hand, she walked outside.

To the maid who was sitting on the sofa watching TV, she said cautiously, "Madame, I'm hungry..."

"Hungry?" The maid who was in charge of taking care of Vivi, sitting on the sofa and watching TV, said with a lot of impatience, "Didn't you hear what Mr. Carter said? No food till you admit you're wrong. Can't you understand? You've grown up wild in an orphanage, and you dared push Miss Regina. It's no wonder no one in the Carter family likes you, you're such an nuisance."

Vivi opened her mouth, just about to explain, when she saw the maid raise her hand. Subconsciously, she curled herself into a ball and said, "Please don't hit me."

"Get lost."

Covering her starved and skinny stomach with her small hand, swallowing the bitterness in her heart, Vivi walked to a corner and squatted down, as if that could give her some sense of safety.

She heard that when she was born, her mother had died due to dystocia. A month after her birth, she was taken away by human traffickers who had bought off the maids in her house for some reason, and ended up in an orphanage. It was not until she was three years old that she was taken back home by the Carter family.

She had thought she would live a happy life, but to her surprise, a stepmother named Daisy Fowler came to her home, and she brought a daughter named Regina Carter.

They all liked Regina, and no one seemed to care for Vivi.

Because of her family's indifference, the maids at home began to neglect her more and more, and in the end, even abuse...
