I crouched while holding my knees as I remembered the person who caused my best friend’s death.

Don't worry, Ariane for I will do everything to take revenge.

I looked at her coffin again and murmured, " Get ready Nick, your karma is coming." I smirked and wiped my tears.

"You're hired." I smiled while talking to the head of HR Department.

When I heard the resignation of the personal assistant of the CEO of Scott Company, I immediately went and applied for the position. The Scott family owned this business. And I'm happy to know everything went good according to the plan.

"Thankyou, when can I start working here?" I asked.

"You can start tomorrow, Miss." She replied.

Great! The sooner, the better so I can execute my plans earlier.

"Okay, Thank you." I uttered.

After that, I immediately left the company and went to the cemetery to visit her. I brought boquet of flowers for her. When I arrived, I put the flowers on the side of her tombstone and sat on the grass and started talking to her.

"H-hey, Yan. I missed you so much. Only if I can turn back time, I will spend time for us to make memories together again, just like before, but I can't. I will do everything to take revenge on that man." I can't do anything but cry .It still hurts right here in my heart, I am still hoping that it was all a dream, I am still hoping that Ariane is still here, talking to me, and making me laugh. She's like a sister to me, but in just a snap, her life was taken away from us.

After an hour, I decided to go home to get ready for tomorrow. I ate dinner and took a shower then later on went to sleep.

October 21,2020. 08:34 am.Tuesday.

"Yan, pleaseee. Oh, God! Get down there! Pleasee I'm begging you!" I cried out loud while saying those words. Ariane is on the edge of the building's roof top! And I don't know how to stop her from her plans.

"Pleaseee, Ariane! Don't do that! Don't leave me!" I shouted out of my lungs but she's not listening to me. Oh God!

"P-please, can someone ask for help?" I said while sobbing.

After a few minutes, there are rescues that arrived, but it's too late, Ariane already jumped off from the building,

"Yannnnnnn!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, the world seemed to stop when she jumped, I can't belive what I saw, she's gone. She took away her life. I felt guilty for not helping her, I immediately went to her bloody body, but I almost vomitted when I saw her own blood strewn on the road. I hugged her and cried like a mother who lost her daughter.

"Arianeee! W-why did you do that? I already told you that get away from that man, but you're not listening. Look what he made you do!" I cried while hugging her dead body. I don't care if someone is watching me, they don't know the feeling of losing a bestfriend.

"Ariane!" I screamed that caused me to woke up. A dream, the same dream again. Until now, I still can't accept the fact that she's gone. I can't sleep again after that dream, so I decided to take a bath, it's already 5:45 in the morning and my schedule at work is 6:30 a.m, so it's good that I woke up early because this is the day where my plans will start.

After taking a bath, I ate and chose a dress that will impress him. I wore a fitted black dress, black heels and I even wore a necklace. I did my hair in a loose wave, and later on did my make up. I sprayed a little bit of perfume, and then grabbed my phone and keys.

I went out of my condo, got in my car, started the engine, and drove to the office.

After 15 minutes, I'm already here, in front of the company. I let out a heavy sigh before I got in.

I walked in and asked the receptionist where to go. She gave me a warm smile and directed me to 23rd floor, wishing me luck as I walked off to the elevator. I am so nervous but this is for my bestfriend so I need to continue my plans.

I made my way up, and once again walked to the receptionist, I think she is in her mid-30's.She's beautiful though.

"Hi, you must be Ms. Thomas, Mr. Scott's new personal assistant, am I right?" she asked excitingly.

I nodded and gave her a sweet smile.

"Great! So, your desk is right here next to me. If Mr. Scott needs help or anything, he will just call, his extension line is but he is still in his office, he's having a meeting with the board member." she maintained that warm friendly smile the whole time.

I smiled and thanked her, I quickly go to my desk and put down all my stuff there. After a few minutes of waiting, I heard different voices of different people and I guessed that they're already done with the meeting.

As I raised my head, my eyes landed on the person that I hate the most. My blood is already boiling by now, I wanted to slap him, but I calmed myself yet in my mind, I am already chopping his body.

His eyes met mine, he raised his brows,

"So, you're my new personal assistant?" he asked while putting his hands on his pocket.

"Yes, Sir." I responded.

He then turned his gaze to the girl behind me.

"Fiona, have you already told her what she's going to do as my personal assistant?" he asked in a deep voice.

"Yes, Sir." Fiona replied.

He turned again his gaze on me, " Miss Thomas, I presume?" he asked in a bored tone.

As if I am not bored too, duh. If it is not for my bestfriend, I will not talked to him. He's arrogant.

"Yes, Sir." I answered.

" Welcome to the team, as you know you'll be my personal assistant which means you are on my call at all times. I don't care if you're busy, I expect you to be free whenever I need you. You'll help me in preparing meetings, and of course, with the paperworks. And do what I say." He said looking at me straight in the eyes.

I was about to speak but he preceded me,

" And oh For your information, I do not tolerate incompetence, and mistakes. If you can't do your job, I will replace you, simple as that. Now, go get me a coffee, a black one and do not add too much sugar. Also print papers and contribute it later to the board member for my meeting.You are excused." he didn't even spare me another glance, he just walked away and went to his office.

I immediately walked and get a coffee for that jerk.

After that, I went to his office, and took it to him.I knocked on the door, and entered the room, and then handed him the coffee. He waved me off after I put down the coffee on his desk. I rolled my eyes, rude ass!

"You're welcome!" I said in sarcatic tone.

He raised his brows, " Excuse me?"

Argh! This jerk is giving me an headache!

"I said, you're welcome.You know, it's so rude not to thank someone if they did something for you." I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at him.

"Why should I thank you for doing your job?" he said irritably.

"Because, I did what you want me to do. A simple thank you will do, Mr. Scott." I sarcastically said.

He stared at me for seconds,

"Ms. Thomas, if you want to keep this job, you should watch your words on me."

Okay, fine. I can't win with this jerk. Tch.

"Okay, Sir. I will not argue with you. Now, if you'll excuse me. I have work to do." I smiled and left the the room.

D*mn, that jerk! He's really getting into my nerves.

I just go back to my desk, faced the computer and then started doing the task he told me to do.

After 2 hours, I finished doing lots of files for his meeting this afternoon. I stretched my arms, and stood up to print the copies he needed. Then later on, I set up the conference room. And, walked out to tell Mr. Scott that his meeting will start in a few minutes.

I knocked and then walked in. He's talking to someone on the phone, so I waited patiently until he finished his call.

"What do you need?" he asked while busy clicking his phone.

"Your meeting will start in a few minutes, Sir. And I finished doing the tasked you gave." I answered.

"Okay. Great!" he uttered. Then he stood up and walked out of the room. He left me hanging there.

He didn't even say thank you? What an arrogant man! Well, what else can I expect from him? Is he the kind of guy that Ariane loved? My tears are starting to form again.

"I missed you so much, Yan." I whispered as I sighed.
