Zion Hotel was filled with a cheerful vibe, decorated with fairy lights and flowers.
Today was the wedding day of Leia Pierce, the second daughter of the Pierce family.
All the family and friends had come together to celebrate the wedding.
But obscene footage was displayed on a large screen.
In the footage, a woman was naked as she was entwined with a man in the bed, accompanied by blush-inducing moans, making the atmosphere so awkward.
The naked woman was none other than the bride, Leia, but the man wasn't the groom.
His face remained hidden from the camera, with only the prominent red rose tattoo on his bare back visible.
"Faster, oh, yes. I can't take this anymore."
"Bitch, you kept refusing me, but look at how slutty you are now."
The groom, Thomas Kane, cursed furiously upon seeing this.
Leia stared at the man who made her body sway with each thrust, and her head was buzzing uncontrollably.
She could only vaguely remember what happened last night. She was in a particularly chaotic state of mind at that time. There was a burning sensation all over her body, making her feel horny.
"No, it's not like that."
Leia panicked and took a few steps back. However, her back hit a wall with wedding decorations, leaving her no room to retreat.
Smack!
Thomas rushed forward in uncontrollable anger and delivered a heavy slap across Leia's face, gritting his teeth as he angrily rebuked, "You wretched whore!"
"No, Thomas, that's not true. I was with you the entire time yesterday," Leia covered her face and sobbed as she explained.
Thomas pointed at the woman in the video and angrily exclaimed, "Isn't that you?"
Leia looked at the screen, unable to offer any words of defense.
"Don't tell me this man is me. I don't have a tattoo on my back."
Leia covered her face and sobbed as she stared at the screen.
Last night, she was clearly with Thomas, and he wanted their first intercourse to be on their wedding night, so it would be special and memorable.
That was their wedding bed, but why wasn't the man Thomas?
No matter how hard she thought about it, she couldn't remember what went wrong.
Evelyn Pierce approached slowly, filled with sorrow and anguish as she said, "Leia, how could you do that? I know you're always dissipated, but you should show some restraint. How can you let Thomas and our parents down?"
"Evelyn, what nonsense are you spouting?" Leia rebuked angrily.
However, the disdainful glances she received from every angle were sufficient evidence that everyone concurred with Evelyn's statement.
Indeed, reputed as the notorious adopted daughter of the Pierce family, who would believe anything she said?
To appease Evelyn and satisfy her parents, Leia had deliberately portrayed herself as an underachieving girl for the past seven years. She intentionally flunked exams in every subject, to accentuate Evelyn's brilliance as the heiress to the Pierce family and make people know that Evelyn was outstanding though she used to live in a humble neighborhood.
In her constant consideration for the Pierce family, she never realized that all her previous actions had now turned into a double-edged sword, piercing her own throat and rendering her unable to voice her grievances.
"Mom, Dad, trust me. I really didn't do it. I didn't."
Tears welled up in Leia's eyes as she looked at Shane Pierce and Mia White with anticipation.
Although she was not their biological daughter, they had raised her for more than 20 years, so she naively believed that there should be a trace of family affection between them.
Shane said angrily, "Don't call me Dad. I don't have such an evil daughter like you!"
His cold face was filled with disdain and disgust as if he saw her as something filthy. There was no trace of affection in his eyes.
Leia's hopeful gaze dimmed gradually.
"Dad, relax. Maybe Leia just made a mistake." Evelyn comforted him.
"Leia, hurry up and explain to everyone. You were forced, weren't you? As long as you tell us who the man is, we can help prove your innocence."
How thoughtful those words sounded to her.
Yet, they were actually a silent act of annihilation.
Leia could not even remember what had happened. How could she know who the man was?
Evelyn's words pushed her to the edge of the cliff. Since she couldn't reveal the man's name, she would probably be viewed as an adulteress protecting her lover.
