Emma's broom dropped from her hand in shock and Alpha Devon noticed her presence.

"Get lost!" Devon yelled as he broke his kiss with Sophia halfway.

Emma ran out of the room and held her chest which was racing faster than it usually does.

'Does this mean my relationship with Alpha Devon is now broken for good?' Rose said.

Emma exhaled sharply.

"It's for the best because I have no plans on ending up with a monster like himself not after what he did to my pack and family," Emma said with so much hate.

Emma walked to her room with her mind crowded with hurt and grief.

Someone bumped into her and some water splashed on the ground.

"I'm so sorry" Charlotte trembled as she bend over to wipe the floor with her clothes.

"Charlotte" Emma called out breathlessly with her eyes fixed on Charlotte.

Charlotte raised her head slowly and her eyes widened in shock.

"Emma" She called out in excitement then gave Emma a tight hug.

"Charlotte, you're alive. Thank you for being alive but how did you end up here?" Emma asked curiously as tears escaped her eyes and Charlotte broke the hug.

Charlotte took her to a corner that no one visits or walks past.

"I barely escaped but I was given a second chance to live. Beta Kent, spared my life and that of other she-wolves the same age as me but in return, we would be made slaves of the Grey pack" Charlotte explained and tears kept rolling down Emma's cheeks.

"It's all behind us now. Our parents were murdered in cold blood, the same with our relatives. I'm grateful you survived Charlotte"

"Well I have the feeling the Alpha got other plans for bringing us here alive. Do you think he's going to use me as a bet someday to get to you?" Charlotte asked sadly.

"Of course, I would never let that happen. He took everything away from me and that's because I was powerless" Emma said with hate.

"I told you, he is a monster in human clothing," Charlotte said then boost into tears.

"I miss my family so much, I couldn't even safe them" Charlotte sobbed heavily and Emma hugged her, holding back her tears from dropping.

But Emma suddenly started hearing whispers of some maids.

..."I heard the new slave from the shadow pack witnessed the alpha making out with Sophia"

..."She's in trouble, I guess she's next in line. No one dares witness the alpha in such an act and go freely untouched"

Some maids whispered from the other end of the wall and Emma's eyes widened in shock as she heard their conversation with the help of her inner powers.

'Emma what are you going to do if the alpha pushes through with what the maids said' Rose cut in and Emma frowned.

"Emma I have to go now. I need to go clean up the rooms of the maids" Charlotte said and Emma shot her eyes for a second as anger consumed her mind.

"They're just maids, why do you have to clean up their rooms as well" Emma screamed angrily.

"Take your voice down. I was assigned to do all of it by Beta Kent"

"Alpha Devon, and Beta Kent they're both werewolves sent from hell. I promise to put them in their place someday. They won't get away with this" Emma said angrily as she clenched her fist.

"Emma, get here!" One of the maids called out loudly from a distance and Emma trembled as she sighted her.

"Emma go ahead and don't push it too hard okay" Charlotte whispered.

Emma was pulled by the hair to Alpha Devon's bedroom.

"Why do you keep bringing me here? I prefer to work in other places" Emma said in a low tone after catching her breath.

"You're sure one rock-headed bitch. The alpha's chambers are your only place of work" The maid said rudely then walked away.

Emma went into the room slowly. Alpha Devon was standing close to the door when she went through it.

"It has only been a day and you're sick of coming back here. How does it feel to be in the same space as the one who destroyed your family?" Devon asked coldly and Emma clinched her fist looking away.

"Did you kill my family because of hatred or revenge?" Emma asked holding back her tears.

"After 22 years of my life, I'm excited to hear a question like this" Alpha Devon smirked and tears clouded Emma's eyes threatening to fall.

Emma's claws came out and she made to attack the alpha but he was way too fast for her to get.

"You're just a weakling she-wolf. You can't do anything without your father or mother. The pain you feel right now is nothing compared to what I have in store for you so hang in there" Devon said coldly holding her hands tight from behind and he tossed her aside with his full strength.

Emma hurt her head on the wall.
