Introduction
Jiang Ning thought her best friend had finally shown some mercy by arranging a high-quality 'escort' for her. To her surprise, the handsome man turned out to be an undercover cop. He swiftly handcuffed her and hauled her off to the police station, accusing her of being involved in a murder case. Jiang Ning protested her innocence vehemently. She was just a fortune-teller, a small-time mystic—how could she possibly be a murderer? But the tall, cold, and strikingly handsome officer wasn’t buying it. He relentlessly pursued her, even forcing her to become his shadow, following him wherever he went. Jiang Ning was furious. "Why should I? I won’t bow to your tyranny!" she snapped. Bo Yanqing’s lips curled into a faint smirk as he closed the distance between them, step by step. "Tyranny? I can show you something even more tyrannical. Care to see?" Jiang Ning’s anger flared. "You’re shameless!" In one swift motion, the man wrapped his arm around her slender waist, his lips brushing against her ear as he whispered provocatively, "And I can be even more shameless. Want to find out?"

"Officer, I swear I didn't murder anyone!"

In the dim interrogation room, Jiang Ning sat under the light, her hands restrained. She looked pathetically at the man sitting across from her.

The man was dressed in a black silk shirt. The buttons were lazily fastened up to his chest, revealing a fit torso.

His collarbones were sexy yet reserved, his Adam's apple pronounced, a heady scent of hormones permeating the air.

He bowed his head, holding a black thermos in his hand and unconcernedly opening it.

White smoke rose from the thermos, twirling and coiling. The profile of the man's cold and handsome face was faintly visible through the fog.

Jiang Ning looked at him, and couldn't help but mentally label him as a stunner.

Then she thought about what happened today, and she couldn't help gritting her teeth.

Entrapment!

This was definitely entrapment!

As a famous fortune teller in Mang City, she'd always abided by the law, she'd never even laid a hand on a male before!

Yet today, she accidentally found the silk pouch that her parents had left her.

When she opened it, she saw that there was only one sentence written on it,

"June 8th, afflicted by peach blossom luck."

She was puzzled, wondering who this "afflicted by peach blossom luck" person could be. Just then, her best friend called to tell her that she'd prepared a surprise for her.

At that time, she was puzzled, wondering what kind of 'surprise' was in store for her.

When the doorbell of her shabby little house rang, she assumed that her girlfriend had ordered takeout for her.

Little did she know that upon opening the door, she would be met with a strikingly handsome man.

Yes, the very 'fishing enforcement' handsome man right before her eyes.

Thinking about this, Jiang Ning felt so embarrassed and furious that she wished she could bury herself in the ground.

Back then, she had thought her girlfriend had a change of heart and ordered her a high-quality 'duck'.

As a lifelong singleton, she was instantly awestruck and pulled him into the house.

She touched his hand, asked him how old he was, where he lived and whether he faced any difficulties, wondering why he took up this line of work.

She still remembers the way this man looked at her at that moment.

His gaze was obscure and difficult to read, anger and a bit of shame intermingled.

His indignation was coupled with a hint of shyness.

To set the mood, she purposefully took out a bottle of discounted red wine from the fridge, intending to seize a moment of courage in her drunken state.

However, just as she was about to plant a kiss on the handsome man, he ruthlessly produced a pair of handcuffs and restrained her.

At that moment, she thought with a hint of glee that this handsome guy really had a sense of humor, even playing with cosplay.

Little did she expect that he would pull out a police ID from his pocket the next second: "Jiang Ning, you are suspected of being involved in the murder of Zhang Wanlan. Please come with us."

She wilted on the spot...wait, no, her drunkenness snapped out of her.

Jiang Ning came back to her senses, looking at the man's strikingly handsome, almost devilish face, gritting her teeth in despair.

Indeed, as ancients have said, beauty brings trouble.

No wonder the golden maxim said, she has the peach blossom luck.

Could it be that the words on the golden maxim were her parents' calculations from many years ago?

Mom, Dad, could you be more reliable in heaven?

This is peach blossom luck?

It's clearly rotten peach blossom luck, okay?!

“Jiang Ning.” Bo Yanqing looked up, his cold eyes staring at her, “Explain, what was your relationship with the deceased.”

Jiang Ning looked at him bewildered, her gaze pausing for a second at his police badge on his chest.

Bo Yanqing?

Such a good sounding name, but why is the person so heartless!

“Officer, I have said many times, I really didn’t kill anyone!” Jiang Ning defended herself with whimpers, “I am a very law-abiding citizen, even an ant I wouldn’t dare to step on, how could I kill someone?"
