Introduction
Sharon Dakota had something that the Heir of Silver Corporation wanted. It was her voice. He was enchanted by it and seized every opportunity to weave his way into her life. One chivalry act and he got her into a contract marriage but with his every move to capture her heart he remained nothing more than a husband by contract. "A contract husband is still a husband, and you, my dear wife, must fulfill your marital duties!" he shamelessly cornered her, whispering provocatively in her ear. "Get lost, you scoundrel!" she retorted, her face flushed with anger. "Well then, let's get lost together," he replied with a mischievous grin.

"Oliver Rivera is now with me, Sharon." Jade Dakota said to her niece who stood before her, half frowning, half confused. "Get over it!"

Jade raises her face that has been remolded with the many layers of foundations and concealers, her winged eyeliner was sharper than an obsidian knife could ever be. Jade looked at Sharon with contempt, her shoulders squared with an air of superiority.

They were at their hotel reception, bustling guests clacked their heels around them, the hotel staff pretended to do their work but Jade's sharp voice has started a drama no one could resist. Eyes darted around them, trying to understand what they just heard. Sharon could almost hear the questions in their head.

What's happening here?

Did an aunt steal her niece's boyfriend?

Or did the niece play the part of the homewrecker and snatch her aunt's man?

Sharon pulled out a smile, said calmly, "It doesn't matter, as long as his heart is with me. It's unimportant who's bed he crawls into."

She had known about this nonsense three days prior.

When she first heard the news, it was from the mouth of Oliver. Seeing him sobbing and weeping with guilt on the floor, Sharon didn’t feel anything other than disgust. Because what the heck? She did not expect much from men but that was a new kind of low.

"Isn't that right, ma'am?" Sharon continued. Her eyes was in full glare at the woman she called Aunt. Jade was only a few years older than her and this whole shebang of her snatching things that did not belong to her did not start that day. She used her position in the family to get away with a lot of things for this longest time.

'It ends now.' Sharon decided within her. If she dare to do the unthinkable, then she should be ready to face the unthinkable consequences. A smile curled up her lips, satisfied to put Jade in her place.

"You must be out of your mind! I can see you have gone crazy." Jade spat out in growing anger. Her triumphant expression had crumbled, she felt mocked by Sharon’s smile, and rage welled up inside her.

"I can't believe it." Jade continued. "You're really that cheap, aren't you? Coveting even the man I've slept with?"

Right after that, she seemed to think of something and her voice rose higher, becoming sharp and shrill. Her weight shifted from one leg to the other, one could visibly see anxiety spreading all over her body.

"Even after all this, you couldn't possibly still want to be engaged with Oliver, would you?"

Of course, Sharon wouldn't never, she found it disgusting. But she wouldn't just let it pass either. The thing is, it wasn't about Oliver anymore, or about her, it was about making an entitled woman lose it all.

"Why wouldn't I?" Sharon laughed."To live a decent life, one must tolerate a little humiliation, don't you agree, ma'am?"

"After all..."

Being a broadcasting and media student, Sharon naturally had a charming voice. When she laughed, it was even more pleasant and delightful. Now it even carried a hint of seductive softness: "You've had your fair share of experience in this area, haven't you?"

"How dare you!"

Thinking about her past, Jade nearly burst with rage. Her gaze fell onto the half-emptied glass in Sharon's hand, she sneered, "Don't be too smug, Sharon. Who gets the last laugh, we'll see after today!"

"Really?" With a casual smirk, Sharon tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, revealing her slender, white neck. It was an emblem of her youth, something Jade was slowly loosing.

Jealousy glinted in Jade's eyes, but seeing the slight blush on her face, she chuckled to herself and walked away.

As Jade's figure disappeared into the distance, Sharon suddenly felt the air become somewhat stifling, as if a blaze had ignited within her, and she started to sweat slightly on her forehead.

She felt uncomfortable.

Sharon could hardly stand still. She leaned against the wall and was about to return to the banquet hall, but saw two men walking towards her with evil intentions no doubt, their expressions was grim as death.

The whole place started to spin, Sharon’s heart pounded out of beat and back. Subconsciously, she glanced at the wine glass in her hand - the one Jade had given her. Finally, she understood the hidden meaning behind Jade's words.

Crash!

She tossed the glass to the ground.

As the sound of the shattering glass echoed in the hall, she made a split-second decision. Twirling around and lifting her gown, she darted towards the corridor corner.

As expected, the two men chased after her once they noticed her running.

Clack, clack. Her stiletto hit the floor as she struggled to maintain balance in the moving world she found herself. It was a hassle, everything was trying to pull her down. Instead she stretched her hands out and counted every step in her head to remain focus.

After running just a few steps, Sharon felt an unexplainable weakness all over her body. A strange feeling of agitation swirled within her.

This was undoubtedly the reaction of being drugged!

"Aha..."

Sharon let out a bitter laugh. Her breathlessness accentuated an unusual allure.

"All this for a man..." she thought, "Jade! Damn it!"

As the sound of hurried footsteps approached from behind, Sharon noticed the elevator's floor indicator numbers decreasing.

Biting her tongue in desperation, she forced her frail body to move, making her way to the elevator.

Both elevators were descending - one was at the third floor, the other at the fifth.

Sharon leaned against the elevator at the third floor. Beads of perspiration had formed on her forehead and were now trickling down her pallid cheeks.

What was more distressing was the intense internal heat coursing through her veins, spreading all throughout her body. It was so consuming that she felt an irresistible urge to undress.

Only two more floors! Faster!

Just one more floor...

Come on! Come on!

Just before the elevator dinged, Sharon’s hopeful heart plummeted from one simple sentence.

"Look, she's over there, catch her!"
