“Have a good night, Ms. Smith”

I craned my neck to find some employees, whom I only vaguely recognized, smiling at me. Although confused, I returned the sentiment and smiled. Surprisingly, working as the CEO’s secretary has earned me some respect from the other employees. They probably only want to be friendly with me to get to Mr. Williams, but I still appreciate the thought.

Taking the elevator that took me to the top floor of the building, I took a sip from my steaming cup of black coffee while reviewing today's to-do list on my phone with my other hand to make sure that I have completed all the errands that I had to run today. I sighed in relief as I pocketed my phone. It was already a little bit past 8 pm but instead of thinking about dinner or going home, my mind drifted off onto the image of the piles of untouched paperwork that had been dropped off on my desk earlier today. The tensed muscles on my shoulder ached at the thought.

The elevator doors opened with the ding, revealing a deserted hallway. My heels click-clacked against the floor as I headed towards the frosted double-glass door right at the end of it.

"Ugh", I groaned, chucking the now-empty coffee cup on a nearby trashcan. "Tonight is going to suck so bad"

My phone rang the moment I slumped into my swivel chair. I didn't bother checking the caller ID and swiped the screen to answer the call.

"Brianna!"

I straightened up in my seat. "Oh hey, Oliver. What's up?"

"I was thinking of grabbing a few drinks tonight. Wanna come?"

I didn't think that tonight was going to get any worse. It was Friday. I'm 26 but stuck in an overtime shift. Slumping deeper into my seat, I kicked the ground and made a couple of turns which was a bad idea—spinning around only made my headache worse.

"I would love to"

"Great, I'll—"

"But I can't", I cut him off with a sigh. Craning my neck to my right, I stared at the piles of paperwork with as much hatred that my eyes could shoot, squinting and contorting my face into an ugly frown. "I have deadlines on Monday and I haven't even started on it yet"

"Again?!", I could hear the frustration and concern in his voice. "You better not skip your meals this time. I'm telling you, Brianna Lynn Smith"

"I won't, don't worry. Geez"

"Your boss shouldn't be overworking you this much, though"

"I'm fine. My boss is—"

I stopped mid-sentence when the doors to my right suddenly swung open, revealing Mr. Williams standing by the doorframe. He wasn't wearing his suit jacket and necktie while the sleeves of his shirt were folded up to his elbows. I sat up straight and cupped my hand over my mouth and my phone.

"—is here", I finished. "I'll text you"

Then I dropped the call. Mr. Williams walked to my desk after a brief glance at his wristwatch.

"You were talking with someone?"

"Oh", I mumbled, setting my phone down on my table. "Yes, sir. A friend of mine"

Mr. Williams always goes in for work with his dark hair slicked back neatly. But at the end of the day, a few loose strands usually fall over his eyes, making him look a little ragged, albeit in a handsome and seductive way. It didn't help either that undoing the top buttons of his shirt gives me a tempting sneak peek of his sturdy chest while his folded sleeves graciously gave me a view of his strong forearms.

I caught myself starting to lust over my boss and mentally gave myself a hard slap.

"You're taking personal calls while you still have a pile of unfinished paperwork sitting on your desk, Ms. Smith?"

Handsome or not, it took my everything to not snap at the remark. I have been running all over the city today to fulfill his errands, and yet, he had the audacity to call me out on a brief phone call? Despite murderous thoughts running through my head, I fabricated an apologetic smile on my face.

"I'm sorry, sir", I said with a slight bow. "It won't happen again"

Instead of saying anything else, he wordlessly gestured towards his office, pointing a thumb over his shoulder before turning around to get back inside. Assuming that he needed me for something, I stood up from my seat and followed suit.

A part of me wanted to think that something was going to happen. My heart was about to pound in anticipation, but upon remembering the fact that I had work that I was still yet to finish, my disappointment quickly settled in.

He didn't head over to his desk nor at least sit down on one of the ottomans on the opposite corner of his spacious office where a living space had been set up. Mr. Williams just kind of...stood there in the middle of the room with his back facing me. Once I stepped into the office, I closed the door behind me. The clicking of its latch echoed.

"Umm, did you need me for something, sir?"

Then, he turned around. The look on his eyes changed and as if on cue, the interrupted building up of anticipation within me finally erupted, rendering me almost weak on my knees. He didn't break eye contact as he walked towards me with painfully slow steps.

"Would you be okay with working over the weekend, Ms. Smith?"

I knew what he meant. It wasn't the first time that he had asked me that so I knew what was coming. Mr. Williams was asking in a way that was giving me the freedom to say no while subtly pushing me into a corner at the same time. He was well aware that if it meant being with him tonight, I would gladly work over the weekend. He showed no fear nor hesitance in using that leverage against me whenever he found convenient.

"O-Of course", I mindlessly replied as if I had been intoxicated.

He was then finally in front of me, within arm's length. He then smirked and cupped my cheek with a hand. The simple contact made my breath hitch and my heart dangerously beat faster than it already was.

"Thank you, Bri"

The nickname was the signal. "Anything for you, Mr. Williams"

I tried calling him by his first name before, but his reaction turned out differently from what I expected. Perhaps he liked emphasizing his authority so much or maybe he simply disliked being addressed to as such. Nonetheless, I didn't mind.

I stifled a moan in my throat as he caressed me slowly, his hands making their way around my body and rubbing me in all the right places. I arched my back and held onto the door for dear life, fighting the urge to throw my arms around his neck. That was another thing that he disliked—being touched. Apparently, he wants to be the one doing all the touching.

"How come your body is always this sensitive?" he asked in a whisper, his breath tickling my lips, but I was too weak and breathless to reply. Then, I felt a hand go under my blouse before squeezing my breasts. I pressed myself into his hand.

"M-Mr. Williams...", I breathed out. I wanted to beg for more, but my words wouldn't come out. My body burned and tingled and ached all at the same time. And he was even barely doing anything yet.

Then, at last, he leaned in and kissed me on the mouth, his soft lips moving in natural synchronization with mine. A few moments after, he pulled away from the kiss just enough to say, "You seem to be always ready for me"

He didn't wait for my reply and devoured my lips yet again. He moved faster and more impatient this time as if he suddenly decided to stop holding himself back. Not that I'm complaining. It was a struggle to keep up with his pace at first, but it didn't take long for me to adjust.

I wouldn't want to directly admit this to him, but I was, in fact, always ready for him.
