I’ll never forget the feel of the fires on my face. The smell of burning flesh will never leave my nose. the screams of my people will haunt my nightmares till my last day.
They came swiftly and silently while we slept. The only thing I remember when I awoke was the hand of two large warriors dragging me out of my family’s hut.
The lighting chief beating my father trying to get information from him. Information he’d rather die than give. You can see the other chieftain flowing with anger over the matter of the location of our tribes Scarred treasure. With every question the lighting chief would hit my father harder and harder making more blood spill from my fathers face.
The lighting chef looked at my father an said “ if you will not tell perhaps I ask you whore”.
My father struggled and tried to grab the other chief as the fire chieftain it was his life to fight for his family. The other chief knew that my father wouldn’t talk so he walked to my mother grabbed her by the throat and said.
“ now you talk whore or I turn you to my warriors” my mother spat in his face.
He slaps my mother making her mouth bleed. He threw her to the ground and grabbed her hair put an blade to her throat and screamed at my father “ tell me where the treasure is or I soak the ground with her blood”.
My mother cried “ my love don’t tell this bastard anything and my son be a oak be strong ” my father with tears in his eyes told my mother “ I love you and will be with you in the night sky soon my moon”.
With those final words the chief slit my mother’s throat her blood soaked the ground her eyes staring at me. All the warriors laughed while there mounts breathed heavy teeth soaked in my people’s blood. I screamed but nothing came out. I saw a tribe mate standing over my mother’s body just staring smiling like the warriors. I yelled “ how can you betray you own people you pile of worm shit”
He glared at me an walked over to me grabbed my hair pulling hard the pain was unforgettable. He talking in my ear “ young chieftain you where never my people you all deserve to bleed for the pain I suffer”
He released my hair as the lighting chief walked to me turned before he got to me and told my father “ you tell me where the treasure is I spare him if not he bleed like your whore”
My father looked at me with tears in his eyes “ my son we shall sore with your mother do not be afraid my young chieftain”
Before the lighting chief could slit my throat the wall of the hut burst into splinters my fathers mount Okla with his teeth covered in enemy blood roared as he knocked the chieftain through the wall. Bit two warriors in half as he saved our lives. I ran to my father to try and help him up but he was to weak he told me “ ride okla ,save our people, find the treasure, you are chieftain now” with those last words my father closed his eyes and died in my arms. I climbed on to okla the alpha of our tribe and we ran off into the darkness. Sitting on Oklas saddle on the mountain a few miles away I starred at the place that I called with the red and orange of the fires lighting up the sky. As I stair into the sky a black winged beast flies over us an as it disappears I swore by the gods my revenge on the lighting tribe
