"Honey, my family wants me to marry your uncle. Come to help me!"

"Your uncle is a vegetable. How can he get married? Hurry up and stop all this..."

Sitting in the dressing room, Lily Hopkin kept sending messages to her boyfriend.

But she didn't get any reply.

"What can I do... Do I have to marry him?"

Some people were bringing her wedding dress in. Lily's face was pale and her heart was filled with bitterness.

The bridegroom, Arron Bates, was a vegetable.

The Bates family was famous for its power and wealth. Arron had become a vegetable after an accident not long ago. Doctors were sure he wouldn't live for six months.

However, Mrs. Bates didn't want her son to die like this. She immediately decided that if anyone were willing to marry their daughter to Arron, they would get a generous amount of money.

The Hopkin family immediately agreed to let their daughter marry him.

Lily was the daughter.

She didn't want to marry Arron. She had a boyfriend, who was Arron's nephew, James Bates.

However, the wedding was about to begin in half an hour, and James disappeared.

Lily couldn't wait any longer, so she found an excuse to run out of the dressing room.

She remembered there was a long corridor to the hall. She could leave from there.

Suddenly, she heard a familiar woman's voice. It was her sister, Alma.

"James, it's so funny. My sister is expecting you to save her. Does she watch too many romantic films?"

James held her waist and mocked, "What a fool! She thinks she can run away from a Bates family wedding?!"

"She should feel flattered. The security by the gate will bring her to the wedding if she dares to run."

Alma smiled more arrogantly.

"Aww, I feel sorry for her. She doesn't know that you have been with me for a long time and is still waiting for you to save her!"

Lily, standing at the door, almost fell to the ground.

Her sister and her boyfriend...

If not for the cash chain rapture of the family company, and her father's sudden heart attack, her stepmother, Jane Hopkin, would not be in charge of the family!

She would not be forced to marry a vegetable for money.

Although Jane said it was all for her good, even the blind can see she was ruining her life.

She just wanted to kick her out of the Hopkin family!

Lily was now isolated and helpless. Her boyfriend, who had been in love for two years, cheated on her. Her family sold her for money.

The truth was exposed. Lily covered her mouth not to cry and stumbled back to the dressing room.

She sat in there for a long time.

After a while, she raised her head and looked at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were red and her face was pale. Suddenly, she smiled coldly.

She only had herself.

The wedding went on as planned.

Lily held a handful of white flowers, walked on the red carpet, and approached the priest.

She put on the ring by herself.

From today on, she would be Arron's wife. Who would dare to bully her?

She only hoped that her husband could live for longer so that she could take her revenge.

After the wedding was finished, Lily was sent to Arron's villa.

It was called Cornells and was located halfway up the mountain. There was a river near the villa with a beautiful view and fresh air.

Anne, the maid, was expecting her in the villa. She took her to Arron's bedroom.

A tall man was lying quietly on the bed in the big bedroom. He was handsome and charming. Even with his eyes closed, he was noble.

Since he was not exposed to the sun for a long time, his skin was pale and bloodless.

He was the most handsome man that Lily had ever seen. She knew that before the accident, he was the president of the Arrons Group, the top company worldwide.

He didn't have any rumors or scandals.

Their names would never be connected if he didn't have the accident.

Suddenly, someone came into the bedroom.

Lily turned around. It was James.

"Baby, I'm so sorry. I've been busy recently. I came to you as soon as I got time."

His words were sincere and his face was full of guilt.

Lily would have been deceived by him if it had been in the past. But after hearing his words, she would not trust one single word he said.

She raised her eyes and asked coldly, "I have married your uncle. Don't you know what to call me?"

"Baby, come on." James coaxed her patiently, "I didn't take you away from the wedding because I love you so much. You are nothing without my uncle. You can't even finish your study."

"Anyway, my uncle is a vegetable. As long as he dies, you will inherit a lot of money. Then you will have nothing to worry about for the rest of your life!"

He was getting excited, "Uncle Arron has many properties, which will all belong to us!"

Lily looked at him and felt disgusted. She scolded him, "Let go of me!"

James was stunned. Lily was always gentle and sweet. She even felt guilty about yelling at him!

What was wrong with her?

James was thinking hard to find an excuse. Suddenly, he noticed that Arron had opened his eyes. Those deep and cold eyes were staring at him.

He was terrified!

"Uncle... Arron!"

"You're awake!"

James was scared out of his wits. He took a few steps back and said incoherently, "Baby, no, no, aunt Lily. I need to go!"

"Congratulations on you two!"

He ran straight away!

Looking at his back, Lily sneered. She turned to look at Arron. Was he awake?

"Didn't the doctor say that he wouldn't live more than half a year?"

She stared blankly at Arron and didn't know how to face this husband. Did he hear their conversation? Would he get her wrong?
