The sun shone brightly through the slip of Alfred's curtain. He got up tiredly from the bed and walk out of his room.

It is a neat but medium size apartment. It contains two bedrooms, a kitchen , a bathroom and living room.

Alfred's room faces Henry's. They were both best friends from childhood, they have been living together for many months now.

Alfred has been employed to a good company where the salary is okay while Henry decided to stay home since he's been sacked from his previous job.

Alfred is a very handsome young man , in his early twenties , so hardworking and diligent.

Henry on the other side is so handsome as well but wasn't much of the diligent type of guy , he's older than Alfred with a month .

That morning Alfred was awaked by the loud music playing in the living room.

He walk slowly to see what's going on.

As he emerges through the wide doorway on the right , he spotted Henry dancing.

The latter quickly lower the volume of the music and grin happily at Alfred.

" Good morning man " he beamed

" What's good about the morning you dog? " Alfred drawl as he yawned tiredly " I can't believe you are dancing for nothing so early in the day "

" Well, what can I do? , it's a promising day . Look " he steer Alfred to look over the window where the sun shone gracefully.

" Oh really? That's your reason ? , You are so impossible " he folded his arms and smirk.

Henry smile and waited for Alfred to say something.

" Your joblessness is making you a nuisance , you need a job Henry . I can't be paying all the bills at all time " his face shows pain but not regret.

Henry signed as he flopped on the sofa

" Okay Fred ,I will surely go out today and look for one "

" Oh shit ! " Alfred explodes " you says that all the time "

He glanced at the wall clock " oh , I'm late . God help you Henry " and he left to prepare for work.

"Thanks Fred " he holler before increasing the volume and continue dancing.

Twenty minutes later Alfred emerges dressed neatly for work. He watch Henry with surprise expression and Henry smiled waving him goodbye.

Alfred shook his head and goes out

" I really wish he has a job " he muttered to himself as he got into the car and drove off.

He continued glancing at his watch while driving then suddenly his cellphone start ringing. He cursed before he answer it as he saw the caller.

" Hello boss , I'm on my way " he quickly says as he answered the call.

" You don't need to , you are sacked " the voice at the other end said calmly.

" What ? " Came the shock respond. He quickly pull over his car as he continues " what have I done ?" He asked aloud .

" Wait Fred and listen , I just don't need you anymore. Your salary will be disposed into your account . Good bye . " The phone call went dead almost immediately.

" Hello sir ? Sir ? " He glanced at the cellphone and signed.

He dropped it angrily on the seat besides him and look on

" Why would he not need me anymore ? " He asked himself slowly.

Just as he was about to start his car , he received an alert as his salary was transferred to his account.

He accessed the message and then sign slowly .

" He sure don't need me much " he drove back home and walk straight to the living room to see Henry watching movie.

Henry was so surprised to see him .

" What the heck are you doing here Fred ? " He asked him in shock.

Alfred sign and sat down beside him in the sofa as he keep his gaze on the television.

" I'm sacked " he responded in a low voice "

Henry's eyes popped open and he turn his whole attention to his handsome friend.

" What have you done to your boss ? "

" Nothing " still Watching the movie nonchalantly.

" Oh , common Fred talk to me "

Alfred turn to Henry for a while then turn back to the screen .

" He called me on my way and sack me "

" Really? " He exclaimed " hey it's nothing , is that why you look downcast? , You need to cheer up. "

Alfred turn fully to Henry now with a surprise look .

" It's nothing? , Oh you need to be joking . How are we going to feed ? "

" Don't worry about that, we will get another job soon " he grins.

" And where will that come from ? I can't believe I'm stuck here with you ."

" It's not so bad , moreover you are still young .you will still make it big "

" Thanks for reminding me " he replied sarcastically.

Henry beamed as he moved closer to Alfred who looked at him briefly then turn to the tv .

" Let's go out tonight, I know a club you will like " Henry suggested.

" I'm not in the mood to go for clubbing and there's no money to spend on alcohol "

" Give me a break Fred , the money is on me "

He turn fully to Henry and smile as he realized he's trying to cheer him up .

" Okay , but you will have to explain where you get the money from " he smiled
