"Lazy girl, what time are you still not up?"

Even though it wasn't yet six o'clock, Amélie Patterson's voice sounded like an alarm clock, causing a headache. Slightly dazed and still groggy, Daisy Jones opened her eyes. Lying on her bed, she observed her surroundings, which seemed strange and familiar. It took her a moment to remember her location. She turned to look at the calendar hanging on the wall above her bed, where a prominent red circle had been marked.

"We are now... April 1990, thirty years back?"

Could she have been reincarnated? Daisy can't help shaking with all her limbs; she can hardly believe it, but everything happening before her reminds her that it's all genuine. She thought she'd ended a failed and painful life but never expected fate to give her a chance to be reincarnated. That year, Daisy was 18 and preparing for the university entrance exam. The university entrance exam! At the thought, Daisy tensed up, unconsciously clutched the quilt, and broke into a cold sweat. The university entrance exam was the turning point of her life. The miserable fate of her past life had begun with this exam. She couldn't go down that old road again.

She wouldn't say anything to Amelie or Amber Jones, those two despicable people.

Amelie's swearing and bickering continued to be heard on the other side of the door, like the Grim Reaper.

Door, like the Grim Reaper. A cold gleam shone in Daisy's eyes. She tied back her hair, reached for the door, and opened it. A familiar face appeared, and she almost couldn't resist the urge to rush towards it and fight.

Seeing that she was finally on her feet, Amélie urged her impatiently: "Why are you standing there like an idiot? Hurry up with the cooking, can't you see it's already six o'clock? Your sister has to go to school later.

But what about her? Doesn't she need to go to school, too? Classes used to start at 8 a.m., but every day at 6 a.m., Daisy had to get up to prepare breakfast for the whole family. On the other hand, Amber could sleep until 7, have breakfast, and then be driven to school by Arthur Jones. Meanwhile, Amelie watches Daisy wash the dishes. If she didn't do a good job, she was scolded. And in extreme cases, beaten. As a result, Daisy was almost always late. If it hadn't been for her excellent marks, always coming top of her class year after year, her teacher would not have tolerated her lateness.

Daisy said coldly:

"I don't have time. If you want to eat, do it yourself".

Amélie's expression immediately darkened, and she said in a harsh voice:

"What did you say?"

"Do it yourself if you want to eat," Daisy replied, her words carrying a noticeable hint of impertinence.

"What are we supposed to eat if you don't cook? Do you want us to starve?"

A wave of anger rose in Amélie, and her shrill voice was painfully shrill.

Daisy gave her a cold look and said, "I won't be cooking in the future." In her past life, she'd been stupidly exploited by them for so many years. But now she wouldn't continue to be so stupid. They could dream if they wanted to treat her like a maid.

"What?"

Amélie looked at her in disbelief, wondering if she'd heard correctly.

"What did you just say?" Her voice was even louder this time.

Indifferent, Daisy declared, "I just said I wouldn't cook in the future. If you want

to want to eat, do it yourself."

"Daisy!"

Amélie's sharp voice exploded in his ears.

"You ingrate, you're my child, you eat my food, you drink my water, if I want you to cook, you'll cook!".

Daisy let out a cold laugh. It was Amelie; she'd immediately insult them if someone went against her wishes. Yesterday, Arthur was at work, so Amelie and Amber were the only ones home. It was because of his absence that Amelie was able to criticize her without restraint.

"So you remember now that you're my mother; I was beginning to think I wasn't your child." Daisy let out an icy laugh, which particularly irritated Amelie.

At the age of five, she was already starting to prepare meals in the kitchen, although she wasn't as tall as the cook and had to stand on a stool. Meanwhile, Amber was busy choosing her new outfit for the next day. Why should she have to work like a maid?

In her previous life, she had always tolerated her mother's tendentious actions despite her discontent. However, she eventually discovered the bitter truth when imprisoned for sixteen years. Her restaurant, which she had worked so hard to run, had been reported as being in breach. The informant was none other than Amelie.

She wasn't Amelie's natural daughter but a child adopted by the Jones family. For whatever reason, her biological parents entrusted her to this family. They claimed that she and Amber were twin sisters. When her biological parents came for her, Amelie moved heaven and earth to have Amber take her place. Her life was transformed into that of a wealthy young woman. Fearing that she would stand in the way of Amber's success, Amelie turned her in.

It led to her imprisonment. At that point, she was utterly ruined. Despite

they refused to leave her alone. In prison, Amelie bribed people to torture her constantly. Finally, she died in a cold cell. Only in her final moments did she truly regret all she had done.

She regretted not seeing their true faces earlier, letting them intimidate her for many years without resisting. Which ultimately led to her being tortured to death.

In her final moments, she said to herself, "If there's a next life, I won't let anyone mistreat me. I'll get even."

She wanted them all to pay for what they had done! Perhaps heaven heard her regrets and gave her another chance, returning to a time before all this had happened.

"Repeat it!" exclaimed Amélie.

Daisy was always docile and listened to everything Amélie said, even if she didn't like it. Today, she was exceptionally defiant, which made Amélie irritable.

"No matter how often you ask the question, my answer will remain the same!" Daisy replied fearlessly, in stark contrast to her usual sweetness.

"Idiot, that's how you talk to me!" An expression of undisguised disgust crossed Amelie's face. Daisy looked at that face, wondering how she'd managed to believe, in her previous life, that this woman loved her like a mother. It was simply ridiculous.

Enraged, Amelie raised her hand to slap Daisy, but she ducked to the side.

"You dare dodge my slap?" Amélie, furious, her face bluish, prepared to slap her again.

"And why shouldn't I dodge if you try to hit me?" retorted Daisy.

Hearing this, Amélie turned purple with rage and was about to explode when a soft voice interrupted her: "Mom, what's going on?"

Amber, dressed in pale pink pajamas, rubbed her eyes, confused. "Did you two fight?"

Daisy laughed coldly. Her sister, Amber, finally decided to get up and wanted breakfast before going to school as usual.
