Night fell, with a full moon illuminating the earth like day. On a cliff by the sea, stood a frail figure with her back to the sea. Opposite her, a man and a woman were closing in.

"Elizabeth Queen, run. Why don't you run?"

The woman's eerie voice was particularly grating. The person standing on the edge of the cliff had a face covered in bloody cuts, the beautiful eyes had lost their usual vitality, replaced by resentment. Especially when she looked at the man, she wished she could tear him limb from limb.

"Oh, look at your eyes, do you still think you're Miss Queen? Don't forget, your Queen family is long gone, and you're the culprit who destroyed your own company, caused your grandfather's death, caused your father's accident, and your sister's assault."

"Shut up."

Elizabeth let out a heart-wrenching yell. Her footing wavered slightly, nearly tumbling off the cliff.

"Haha, still fierce when you've lost everything? Who gave you the privilege?"

After the woman's voice faded, she pointed her gun at Elizabeth's knee and fired a shot. Elizabeth's leg buckled, and she knelt down with one knee on the ground.

"Miss Queen, You don't have to bow down to me."

Lifting her head, Elizabeth's eyes sparkled with a light capable of shattering the others. She clenched her teeth hard, propping herself up with her hand on the ground and trying extremely hard to stand. As proud as she was, how could she kneel before these wicked creatures.

Mustering all her strength, she finally stood up unsteadily.

"Huh, a tough one indeed,"

The woman was about to fire a second bullet, but the man by her side grabbed her wrist.

"What are you doing? Feeling sorry? Feeling sorry for the wife you conned into marriage with a fake certificate?"

"Marissa, stop this nonsense. The only person I love is you."

"Alright, then you can personally send her off."

Marissa Clark slapped the gun into the man's hand, and Elizabeth smiled, a devastatingly beautiful smile.

"Alex Knight, throughout this year, your gentle concern for me was all a farce, wasn't it?"

"Elizabeth, don't blame me. If there's anyone to blame, it's yourself for being so naïve. As you just heard, the marriage certificate was fake that cost me less than ten bucks. All I ever wanted was your inheritance."

"Tell me, were you the one who killed our child?"

Elizabeth stared fixedly at Alex. If he had even the slightest bit of conscience, he would not harm their child.

"Pitiful, even on the brink of death, she still cares about a child fathered by another man. Truly moving."

"Another man?" Shock lanced through Elizabeth's heart.

"Didn't you know? The man you supposedly consummated your marriage with on your wedding night was not you so called husband. Alex has never laid a finger on you. Oh, here's another secret for you, on your wedding night, your 'husband' was in bed with me at the apartment you bought for him."

"You... disgusting, Alex Knight, you're worse than a beast!"

With all her remaining strength, Elizabeth lunged at them. Alex was taken aback, but Marissa was faster, grabbing the gun and pulling the trigger.

"Bang..."

The bullet tore through Elizabeth's heart. Her body fell backwards and, just as she was about to plummet off the cliff, she caught sight of Marissa's smirk and Alex Knight's indifference. Marissa's mocking voice rang in her ears:

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. That bastard of a son was also killed by me. Now go and join him. Don’t thank us too much."

"Bang..." There was another loud noise. She slammed into the icy-cold seawater, unable to close her eyes, Elizabeth, swore that if she was reborn, she would skin them alive and draw their tendons, return the pain they inflicted on her tenfold, a hundredfold.

Clenching her fist tightly, she swore.
