; He'd just lost his family and I was found. Maybe he felt that the universe had rewarded him or rather, compensated him by giving him to me.

Well, he still adopted me and took care of me. I was by his side always and he proudly showcased me to the world but it turns out the phrase "happy ever after" does not exist at all. My dad became really sick when I was just three and he told me before he died that he would go to heaven to see the lord very soon. I, being very little yet so naïve openly spoke the news of my dad to the whole village. The next day, my father died and I was blamed for being responsible for his death. I was brought to the center of the village and after some hours of deliberation, I was dumped in the middle of the streets in the city to fend for myself. I was all alone, crying my eyes out and calling for my late daddy to take me with him to heaven. The rain began to pour down on me. I gradually walked  around and saw the street children running from the rain.

I pitifully followed them and ended up sleeping under the bridge. Maybe my fate has always been near the water. I got really hungry and found food near the dumpster the next day. I continued my journey of begging for alms just like the street children I saw. The next day, I went to the dumpster where I found food but got chased away. They complained that street children like me always brought trouble wherever they went. I walked to the on the top of it were written words I couldn't understand yet. I stood for some minutes, still salivating when a lady gave me some pasta and commanded me to wander away. I quickly took the food and started to find a great place to munch my food in peace when a group of street kids approached me to try to take my food.  I was still crying when a little girl came and stopped all of them. She confronted them and called them shameless for trying to pick on me. She grabbed my hands and went to her little house still under the bridge but with some triangular coverings of wrapper are you doing all alone in the streets?"

"my daddy went to heaven a week ago and before he traveled, he told me he was going to heaven so I told all my friends. The next day, he slept for a long time and people surrounded the house. They took me to the middle of the village and they were all speaking in low tunes so I wouldn't hear them. Then four big men carried me and put a sack on my head and brought me here. I'm sure if my daddy comes back to pick me, he will punish all of them because my daddy loves me"

I illustrated this with so much life and stressed the word 'love' I barely understood the fact that my dad will never come back.
