“Curling together in utmost pleasure, her shaky legs gave way to the moist feel of his sweaty body merged with the perky shoots of her nipples. Her eyes screamed please, but her honeypot knew otherwise....”

“Mar! Mar! Mar!”

It was her again, Mar’s mother screaming on the top of her voice again. She never seized a chance to ruin Mar’s day dream moments. Mar had become so attached to romance novels that she spent more than half of her day daydreaming and wishing she was in the same shoes as the characters of a book. It was routine for her, her gateway escape from the real life she was subjected to.

“I’m here in the cinders, mother” she said trying to shrug her way out of the stool she sat on. Fair as the gander on a fog island, so she undoubtedly was. Her freckles seemed to be the outstanding feature of them all. Her lips, pink, plum and enticing did not fail to join the party. The mole by the side of her well seated nose stood upright like the Queen’s guards. Her skin, so clear. Eyes screamed flirty due to her never fading squinting. There was no such thing as icing on the cake. Everything was an icing. Graceful with her steps as ever, she was perfection in human form.

“If you glance through the pages of the white man’s life all day, you would end up being a poor lowly woman who would most likely run mad as a result of hallucination” Mar’s mother shot out straight up.

“Well it is not like I would end up being a happy woman anyway, there is no hope of even getting married for me. Who wants to marry a girl who doesn’t even exist to him?” she fired back, hiding her book behind her back.

“Oh young independent lady, all hail thee. I see where this is going. You have fallen down to using the restriction given to you by me and your Pa as a yardstick for your constant everyday hallucinations? Ye?” she said in a strong Mexican accent.

“You want to kill me ye? Or do you want me to send you out for El Casino to see how gracious and fair you are? You want to put yourself in danger? Why so ungrateful?!” she yelled at the top of her voice.

Holding her book to her chest, Mar’s facial expressions showed she had simply had enough of all the countless talks. All she wanted was just to be out there taking in air and getting undressed by a gentleman like Hussein in the book she was burying her face into earlier. She wanted to be touched, held, caressed. All that scenario she planted in her head and played out every single time, she wanted to feel it. The way Hussein gently removes the hem of Yanel’s gown, yes all that. The way his fingers traced down her face, his lips locked into hers while his tongue went round, she wanted all of that. Not being locked up with people that never understood. Two people that always made her feel like being beautiful was a sin. She was tired of all this. She wanted out.

“This is not the life I signed up for. I’m tired of being locked up like this. I’m tired! Never has it been heard of being in bondage because of looks. I am literally not allowed to her friends because I don’t want anyone to know I exist. I can not even step outside for fear of being seen by anyone. Protect! Protect! Protect! What do we keep protecting? Who do we keep protecting? Me? Me?” She screamed throwing her book down and crying

“ What is the use of protecting me? I want a life Ma! I want a life! Can you stop? Stop all of this. Stay in! Don’t go here! Do this, don’t do that! No friends, no one to talk to. No one at all! No one! Leave me with my books, you still say no! What do you want from me Ma? What? Stop caging me ma, you’re driving me crazy. You and Pa are making me go nuts, haywire pero ma! “ she screamed without hesitation as she stormed out without looking back at a bewildered Ma standing in the cinders mouth agape at what had just transpired right before her very own eyes.

Mar’s father stood by the entrance shaken at what had just happened. She did not know if to call out to Ma, or if to let her be. Her mind had spun in countless turns, she was sad but confused, where had she gone wrong? All she wanted was to protect her daughter from the nasty gaze of the ruthless El Casino and his ranch men. They were up to no good at all. All they wanted was young fair maidens to satisfy the urges of their never resting manhood. With their horses and swords always ready to be drawn at the slightest, they paced around centralizing their preying eyes up and down, round and about for fair maidens to make their sex toys.

The charade of the El Casino was a bunch of soldiers that literally spear headed everything that went down at the ranch community and its environs. To foreigners, La Colima was a small community that harbored farm laborers. Known for their healing abilities and rumors to have magical creatures living amongst them, La Colima was far from peaceful. Wars were their daily routine as the quest for total power out-ruled the quest to bring humanity back to book. La Colima and Cantyan were always at loggerheads. The two provinces did not just wake up and start the constant fights and pain stacking wars, it was something that rose from the onset.

El Norte was the leader of Cantyan who fell in love with the daughter of El Casino in La Colima. Following all procedures necessary, he accosted El Casino who is the leader of La Colima for the hand of his daughter but El Casino seizes the chance as an opportunity to take everything that was rightfully his and add to his as a result of envy and absolute jealousy. He instructed that El Notre pay a heavy price and that was half of his property in exchange for the hand of his daughter.

As absurd and selfish as it sounded, El Notre debunked the advice from his right hands and noble men as a result of the love he had and signed an agreement with El Casino. But lo and behold, on the day El Notre was to take his bride with him, it was a whole different case. Unveiling of the bride was considered forbidden in La Colima. She was only to be revealed when she had been penetrated by the man who had come to claim her. On getting to his home and making love with his wife whom he had married. It was said that the next morning, he rose up to the sight of an unfamiliar face on his bed. Outraged and furious, he got up angrily, cursing the sight of the stranger who later revealed she was just a servant sent to impersonate the daughter of El Casino.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

With swift action, El Notre moved to the Casino in order to question his actions. El Casino in all sarcasm told El Notre to make sure he read a deal before he signed it and that he had no claim or proof to get back his property because the document he had signed had noted he was going to take a slave of the Casino as his beloveth. With no way to claim back any of his property or his bride, El Notre resolved to strong violence. Attacking La Colima and its inhabitants were their utmost priority, striking at the tiniest loophole possible, La Colima and Cantyan became sworn enemies without a flinch. The quest for power became a standing ground running through the blood of even the next generation.
