Well don’t they just look adorable, one month ago we were blessed with not just one baby but a set of twins. One boy who we named Hunter William Blackshear and one girl named Heaven Eve Blackshear. They are growing up so fast, I sighed but I know in the back of my mind that I have to give my children to someone who will keep them both safe, and that hurts me every time that I look at them. I will not get to watch them grow up or teach them about what we are and what we can do I think to myself as silent tears roll down my face. My mother suggested that they should grow up in different homes to make it harder for them to be found and for some strange reason I have to agree. So Kol is going to take Hunter down to Louisiana where he grew up and leave him with a family friend and I will be taking Heaven to the human town on the other side of the dark forest. I will miss my children so much and I just want them to know that they were loved while they were with us. Hopefully one day we will all be reunited once more.
“Alpha we are under attack”, I heard one of the warriors' mind links.
I guess that is my cue to get Heaven out of here, Kol left hours ago with Hunter, but I guess I didn’t want to really part with the only child I had left.
“Honey, you have to get her out here, please save the both of you I will come and find the three of you when the fight is over”, I heard William say through mind link.
“I love you William now and forever”, I said through mind link. I know that my love will be alright he always is after a battle but this one just felt different. Just then I felt the sharpest pain rip through me, and I could not do anything but scream, but for the sake of my baby I need to get her as far away from here as possible.
“My Queen we must leave this place before they make into the castle”, I heard one of the guards say.
Saying goodbye is such sweet sorrow but I know that this family will take great care of my little Heaven, because once upon a time Lillian’s parents took care of me, running through the woods I can hear someone or something running right behind me so I quickly pick up my speed just a little more making sure that I don’t lead them straight to where my daughter will be living for now on.
Closing in on the house that I have been looking for I see that the car door is open as if they are getting something out of it, so I slip Heaven on the back porch, saying a quick goodbye with a kiss I dash off in the opposite direction. About a good 45 minutes later I was caught being brought back to the palace, as we arrived back on the grounds what I saw next made my heart shatter, there was my mate lying in a pool of his own blood dead, I could have died right then and there but I remembered what my mother told me. So, I just played the part of a grieving mate. “How could you he was your brother for fuck sake”? I screamed out.
“He was no brother of mine just like Tobias was no father of mine", Matthew said smiling down at Williams body. Now that he is gone you will be mine and I will be the King now. “I will never love you; you are fucking sick for doing any of this”, I screamed at him. “Take her to my new room, I will deal with her when I get there”, he said to one of his warriors.
This man has destroyed my life he has taken my mate from me, and my children are off somewhere else and will be raised by other people and all for what because he was in love with me. I could never love any one as much as I loved William and I don’t think that I ever will. It will be a cold day in hell before that will ever happen. I know so much is happing right now, but I can think about is the times before we had ever met this monster that is standing before me.
Thinking back to the times before I met my mate must have been the absolute best but once I met the man of my dream's things started to make more sense to me.
Back to the Beginning
“Kara, Kara honey I really need you to get up and out of that bed don’t make me send your father up there to get you”, I heard my mother yelling from the bottom the stairs. My mother waits when did she get back, immediately throwing the comforter back I just out of bed and ran down the stairs. She must have known that I was coming because I could see her bracing herself for impact and I jumped right into her awaiting arms.
“When did you get back mother”, I squealed as she rubbed my hair and sprinkled me with kisses.
“My sweet child I returned last night but you were sound asleep when I got her so me and your father decided that we would let you sleep and surprise you in the morning”, she said still holding me.
“So, what new stories do you have me for this time”, I said looking into my mother’s eyes, but I also knew that she would not be here long. “How long will you be here with us”, I said with a small pout.
“We will discuss everything over breakfast your father is waiting for us in the kitchen, so head back upstairs and brush your teeth and wash your face young lady”, she said while outing me back down on my feet.
“Yes, ma’am I can’t wait to hear about all the exciting things that you get to see, all the people you get to help, and all the bad people you help put away”, I said while running back up the stairs.
Back inside my room I skip right over to the bathroom looking at myself in the mirror to me not much has changed but I am starting to notice little subtle things. By the way my name is Kara Eve Knightly I am the only daughter of Alpha King Drago Knightly and Natalia Knightly, my childhood has been very interesting to say the least, but I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world. I am turning 16 in a couple of days and my father tells me that is the day that I will get my wolf and I couldn’t be more excited to finally meet her, but I also feel that there are some other things that my parents are not telling me. Hopefully one day I will get the answers to many of the questions that I am seeking.
I am 5 feet 6 right now weighing in about a good 140 I know right really small for my age, but my mother insures me that once I shift that my body structure will change. I have long red hair with a patch of silver going down the right side of my head. My eyes are this beautiful ocean blue just like my mother’s, but I have my father’s beautiful caramel skin. As I get finished brushing my teeth and washing my face, I head back into my room rummaging through the massive closet to find something simple to wear it is the weekend so there is not much for me to do except hang with my family and the pack. Finding a simple pair of jogging pants and a t shirt I head back downstairs for breakfast with the family.
Once I make it to the bottom of the stairs, I can hear so many different voices which lets me know that all the pack members are in the dining room. Walking in the door I immediately search for my parents who should be sitting at the head of the table but when I look at their seats, they are empty. Walking up to one of the guards I asked him if he had seen my parents, “Yes, little princess they are in the kitchen”.
Walking into the kitchen I could see that my father and mother were helping Mrs. Clara with breakfast, I smiled and clear mt throat “Is there anything that I can help with”, I said to no one in general.
“Oh, my beautiful girl I swear you just keep getting prettier each time that I see you”, Mrs. Clara beamed. She was like the grandmother I never had since I had never met either of my parents' people.
