"Smack!"

A heavy slap landed on Madeline Mond's face.

Barret Mond coldly commanded with a furious face, "Today, you must marry, whether you want or not!"

Looking at her father glaring at her with a fierce expression, while protecting her stepsister Amy Mond behind him, tears welled up in Madeline's eyes.

"Dad, why are you so partial? We're both your daughters."

This marriage was originally meant for her stepsister, Amy.

However, Amy refused to marry the unattractive and sickly third son of the Noyes Family.

So, Barret forced Madeline to marry instead, just to please the Noyes Family!

“Madeline, don't blame Daddy. It’s all my fault."

Amy said with a smug expression but pretended to be wronged. "It's my fault for falling in love with Ted, and Ted insists on marrying me... I don't want to let him down, or I wouldn't have made things difficult for our father."

Just mentioning Ted Grantham made Madeline even angrier, feeling like her heart was being stabbed.

Ted was supposed to be her boyfriend!

Amy not only stole her boyfriend but also forced her to marry someone else.

She was truly heartless!

But Barret was completely unaware of Amy's true intentions. He comforted her, saying, "Amy, don't be sad. It's not your fault. True love is never wrong!"

After comforting Amy, Barret looked at Madeline, his expression changed to disappointment and coldness.

"Your sister never bears to make me worry, but you have always been disobedient and forcing me into a corner. I'm telling you, if you refuse to get on the wedding car of the Noyes Family today, I won't pay for Kay's medical expenses anymore!"

These words were like a thunderbolt out of the blue, striking Madeline's head.

She looked at her father in disbelief, tears streaming down her face. "Dad, Kay is your biological son..."

Kay Mond was her younger brother, suffering from leukemia and currently hospitalized.

If Barret refused to pay for the medical expenses, it would be equivalent to sentencing Kay to death!

Barret's face turned cold as he said, "Your brother's life is in your hands. Will you marry or not?"

Madeline's eyes were red, and her trembling body fell to the ground.

If she had known that her family was so cold-blooded, she wouldn't have brought Kay back ten years ago.

She clenched her teeth tightly and squeezed out the words from her throat, "Fine, I'll marry!"

"That's more like it. Quickly do her makeup!" Barret commanded.

The Mond family quickly sprang into action.

Madeline was like a puppet being manipulated.

Looking at her stunning face, Amy was extremely jealous.

But when she thought about Madeline marrying the rumored ugly man, she felt extremely satisfied.

Soon, the wedding car from the Noyes Family arrived.

Ten silver Lamborghinis parked in front of the Mond family.

Madeline got in the car, feeling lost and only being pushed towards an endless unknown.

At the church where the wedding ceremony was held, many people, rich and powerful, arrived to witness the spectacle, not to offer their blessings.

The wedding ceremony proceeded, but the groom, Wayne Noyes, did not make his appearance.

Madeline completed the ceremony alone, amidst humiliation and embarrassment.

During the wedding, Wayne's assistant Herbert dialed a familiar number.

"Sir, the wedding is over."

There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line, followed by a deep yet incredibly attractive voice, "Mmm."
