Deep down in the beautiful ocean, mermaids and mermans flocked to the royal palace of Atlantica.

“Ahem… His royal highness, King Triton!” A seahorse announced.

Triton came into the room, carried by a carriage of seahorses, followed by cheering and clapping.

“Presenting the distinguished court composer, Horatio Thelonious Ignatius Crustaceous Sebastian!”

The crab, Sebastian, also entered the hall, coming to the King’s side.

“I’m really looking forward to this performance, Sebastian.” The King said.

“Oh, Your Majesty, this will be the finest concert I have ever conducted. Your daughters — they will be spectacular!” Sebastian boasted.

“Yes, and especially my son Aaron.”

“Yes, yes, he has the most beautiful voice. .” . Then he said to himself. “If only she'd show up for rehearsals once in a while”.

Sebastian proceeded to the podium and started directing the orchestra, as Triton's daughters came out to sing.

TRITON’S DAUGHTERS:

Ah, we are the daughters of Triton.

Great father who loves us and named us well:

Aquata, Andrina, Arista, Attina, Adela, Alana.

And then there is the youngest in his musical debut,

Our only little brother, we're presenting him to you,

To sing a song Sebastian wrote, his voice is like a bell,

He’s our brother, Ar—. . .

The girls gasp as the shell opens and Aaron was no where to be found.

The King got up angrily.

“Aaron!!!”

Meanwhile, Aaron, who was supposed to be at the concert, was currently checking out a sunken pirate ship with his best friend, Flounder.

“Aaron wait for me.” Flounder yelled.

“Flounder, hurry up!”

“There it is. Isn’t it fantastic?”

“Yeah . . . sure . . . it — it's great. Now let's get outta here.

“You're not getting cold fins now, are you?

“Who, me? No way. It's just, it, err . . . it looks — damp in there. Yeah. And I think I may be coming down with something. Yeah, I got this cough.”

Flounder faked a cough making Aaron roll his eyes

“All right. I'm going inside. You can just stay here and — watch for sharks.”

Aaron said and then went inside the ship

“Okay, yeah you go and I’ll……what? Sharks? Aaron!!!”

Flounder screamed frightened and chased after the boy. He enters the ship through a window, but he doesn’t fit through.

“Aaron . . I can't . . . I mean— Aaron help!”

Aaron swam over to him and laughs amusedly.

“Oh, Flounder.”

“Aaron do you really think there’ll the sharks around?”

“Flounder, don't be such a guppy.

“I'm not a guppy.”

Aaron pulled him through the pothole with a plop.

“This is great — I mean, I really love this. Excitement, adventure, danger lurking around every corn….” He pauses as he sees a skull.

“YAAAAHHHHHHHH!! Aaron!!!!

Flounder yelled frightened, crashing on a beam. Then he swam forward and bumped into Aaron.

“Oh, are you okay?” Aaron asked concerned.

“Yeah sure, no problem, I'm okay . . .” Flounder replied shakily.

“Shhh...” Aaron whispered to Flounder.

Then he turned around and saw an object that had four long spikes on the top.

“Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!” He rushed to pick it up.

“Have you ever seen anything so wonderful in your entire life?”

“Wow, cool! But, err, what is it?” Flounder asked.

“I don't know. If [Y/n] was here she’d tell us.” He thought for a while.

“But I bet Scuttle will.”

Aaron puts the fork into his satchel, failing to see the shark that swam past outside.

“What was that? Did you hear something?” Flounder asked as Aaron picked up some sort of horn up.

“Hmm, I wonder what this one is.”

“Aaron . .” Flounder said frightened.

“Flounder, will you relax. Nothing is going to happen.”

Flounder turns to see the shark looming over them.

“AH Run!! Run!! We're gonna die!”

Aaron turns to see the shark about to eat them and the two run away from it.

The shark started chasing them as they ran around. They head for the porthole, swimming out as the shark chases after them.

“Oh No!!”

The shark continues chasing them and Flounder gets distracted, crashing into a pole

He gasps swimming around as the shark was right behind him.

Aaron turns to see his dilemma and goes back to save him, trapping the shark in a hoop.

Flounder laughs at the shark.

“You big bully.” He blew a raspberry at the shark making it snap at him, and he swims away.

“Flounder, you really are a guppy.” Aaron said laughing.

“I am not.” Flounder pouted.

Up on the surface, a seagull was relaxing on an island looking through a telescope..

“Scuttle!” The seagull jumped at the sound of his name, turning the telescope the wrong way and looking through it, to see Aaron and Flounder far away, waving at him.

“Whoa! Merman off the port bow! Aaron, how you doin' kid?”

Scuttle lowered his telescope to see the two sea creatures actually in front of him.

“Whoa, what a swim!”

“Scuttle look what we found.” Aaron said pulling out his little bag and emptying the contents.

“Yeah — we were in this sunken ship — it was really creepy.” Flounder added.

“Human stuff, huh? Hey, lemme see.” Scuttle said and picked up the thing with spikes.

“Look at this. Wow this is special this is very, very unusual.”

“What? What is it?” Aaron asked curiously.

“It's a dinglehopper! Humans use these little babies . . . to straighten their hair out.” The seagull said, demonstrating by using the thing to twirl his hair.

“See give it a little twirl here and a yank there and — viola!”

He did a very messy hair do.

“You got an aesthetically pleasing configuration of hair that humans go nuts over!”

“Hmmm [Y/n] had once given us some weird thing that humans use to straighten their hair out. I’m forgetting what it’s called now……um……I think it was a….a comb! Yes that’s it! Don’t humans use that too?”

“Well that comb thingy is for the ladies. Real men use this, the one and only dinglehopper.” Scuttle said and handed over the dinglehopper to Aaron.

“A dinglehopper!” Aaron said, looking at the dinglehopper in amazement.

“Anyways why didn’t you go to Princess in the first place?” Scuttle asked, referring to Aaron’s human best friend.

“She’s on some sort of cruise with her sister.”

“Oh I see.”

“What about that one?” Flounder asked pointing to the horn thingy.

“Ah — this I haven't seen in years.” Scuttle said picking it up.

“This is wonderful! A banded, bulbous — snarfblat.”

“Oohhh.” Aaron and Flounder both said in awe of the thing in Scuttle's feathers.

“Now, the snarfblat dates back to prehistorical times, when humans used to sit around, and stare at each other all day. Got very boring. So, they invented the snarfblat to make fine music. Allow me.”

Scuttle blows into the pipe and it make a weird sound, seaweed popping out the other end.

“Music?” Aaron asked horrified, suddenly remembering something

“It's stuffed.” Scuttle said looking through the pipe.

“Oh, the concert! Oh my gosh, my father's gonna kill me!”

“The concert was today” Flounder said, equally horrified.

“Maybe you could make a little planter out of it or somethin'.” Scuttle said still looking at the pipe.

“Uh, I'm sorry, I gotta go.” Aaron said grabbing the snarfblat from Scuttle, stuffing it into his bag, along with his other stuff.

“Thank you Scuttle.” Aaron said waving goodbye to Scuttle, him and Flounder diving back into the water.

“Anytime pretty boy, anytime.”
