Kelly pov

I was sleeping when mom came to wake me up. Good morning mom I greeted, morning baby...are you not going to school today she said, am going mom I said, can't you see the time, you are getting late she said, I checked the time, it was 7: 30 am.

"I'm late" I said then I ran to the bathroom.

A minute later, I came out of the the toilet, am so sorry for my behavior...my name is Kelly John, am attending Movic high school, I am eighteen years old...I came from a poor family, my dad is an electrician while my mother sells bread in the market, we hardly eat and drink, an the only child of my parent and I love them so much...I have to go now.

I ran out of my room when I got to the sitting room, I met mom serving the food. Bye mom I said then I ran out because am late...my school is not far from home.

Few minutes later, I got to school...I met a teacher in the class when the teacher saw me, she glared at me. why did you come late to school the teacher asked but I kept quiet. Go and sit down, I pardoned you for today the teacher said then I went to my sit.

When Alicia and her friends saw me they burst out laughing but I don't care because am used to it.

"The stupid girl came late today" Chelsea said.

I glanced at them then I hissed.

Danny pov

I heard what Alicia and her friends said to Kelly, I pitied the girl...I don't know the reason why Alicia and her like to make jest of her, it maybe because she came from a poor family. Danny what are you thinking? Ronny my bestfriend asked, nothing I said, okay he said.... Ronny I don't like the way Alicia and her friends make jest of Kelly everytime I said, hmmm...what concerned you with that, leave them, let them make jest of her he said, Ronny that's not good I said, guy if you know it is about the girl you wanna talk about today, am out of it he said with a roll.

"okay" I said.

"Yeah" he said.

Alicia stare at me then she winked at me but I glare at her the she hissed.

I rolled my eyes.

My name is Danny Cole, am attending Movic high school, am nineteen years old ...I am fatherless... I have a mother and I love her so much, my mother is rich, I have a friend named Ronny, he is my bestfriend, I love a girl in my class named Kelly that is all about me for now.

Alicia pov

I winked at Danny but he glared at me...I don't know the reason why he hated me so much. Alicia what are you thinking again? Chelsea asked, nothing I said, hmm...are you sure Susan said then I nodded my head, girls I think Danny like Kelly Chelsea said, no he did not like her I said, can't you see the way he has been staring at her Chelsea said, it is not possible... Danny can't like her I said then Chelsea and Susan stared at me.

"What" I said.

"Do you like Danny" Chelsea and Susan asked at the same time.

"Me...no, I don't" I deny.

"Hmm" Susan said.

"Are you sure" Chelsea said then I nodded my head.

"okay" The said.

Kelly pov

There is not teacher in our so the students were making noise but I don't have time for that, I brought out a note from my bag.

Few minutes later, I was still reading my note when Alicia and her friends showed up. Hi the said with a faked smile, what do you girls want? I asked, nothing ugly bitch Chelsea said, Kelly I came here to warn you not to stare at Danny again, he is mine and mine alone so don't you ever stare at him again Alicia said, who told you that am staring at him...I don't like him and I will never stare at him I said, oh! you get mouth to talk to us, do you who you are dealing with Alicia said then I rolled my eyes.

"Kelly or whatever your name is...do you who you are dealing with" Chelsea said.

"Bitch are you talking to us, if you say one more word there I will slap you" Susan said.

Alicia slapped me.

"Alicia you shouldn't hay slapped her" Susan said.

I ran out of the class.

                Danny pov

I heard what Alicia and her friends said to Kelly, I got up from where am sitting to meet them when Ronny held my hand. what is it Ronny... leave me I said then he glared at me, I don't like the way they are treating the girl, if she came from a poor family does that means they should treat her bad I said, guy what is your business with what they did or said to her... leave them he said, leave me I said then I removed my hand from him, I went to out of the class to meet Kelly.

i went to school garden, when I got to the school garden, I met her sitting on the bench.

"she is crying" I said.

"Kelly why are you crying" I said walking to where she is sitting.

"What do you want?" She asked not taking a glance at me.

"Kelly...am so sorry for whatever Alicia and her friends has done to you" I said.

"Please leave here" She said.

"Kelly, don't mind them...am sorry" I said.

"Please leave...you know it was because of you that they insulted me" she said then tears dropped from her face.

"I'm sorry" I said then I wiped the tears away.

"Okay" She said with a smile.

"Yeah...can we be friends" I said then she nodded her head.

"Thanks" I said.

"You are welcome" She said then we went to the class together.
