Lillian was the type of girl that had always known what she wanted and how to get it. She grew up in a tight family with two sisters and three brothers. All of them grew up knowing one day that Joshua the oldest would some day take over as Alpha and continue their fathers legacy as head of the Spencer pack. Lillian being the youngest girl wanted so much to just be herself and live a simple life on her own terms. She went to college with her father's blessing and became a nurse so that she could do more than just be someone's wife and mother. She loved her family dearly, but knew that the world had more to offer her. She had established herself at the local hospital working nighstift in the Emergency room. Her fellow colleagues had grown to love and appreciate her. Recently she had been setup with one of the new attending physicians that had just joined them and they hit it off. Chris was a great guy, but something always nagged her in the back of her mind about him.
"I can't believe it's been a whole six months since I last saw Violet." Kelly jumps just as the doorbell rings. She comes back with the food we ordered from Jack's place. "She needs to hurry up and get here. This smells amazing." Just as we finish getting everything situated and the table set Violet comes around the corner scaring Kelly saying "what smells so heavenly?" I had forgotten I gave Violet a key when I went home for her engagement party. I had heard her put the key in the door since my wolf hearing is so superior to human hearing. As we sat down to dinner Violet turned to me saying mom, Brie and Rose would be down the day after tomorrow for her final dress fitting. "I can't believe than in just a few weeks I will be Mrs Kevin Macallan." She looked so excited to becoming a betas wife. After we finished dinner we sat around gossiping and watching Bridgerton till well after midnight. Kelly finally decided she couldn't hang anymore and went to bed. This gave us a chance to gossip about things back home since Kelly didn't know about my werewolf side. Violet told me of all the new pups that had been born, new mates that had been found and trouble our twin brothers Jeremy and Jonathan had gotten into. "You know one of these days they'll find mates of their own and have pups just like them, they'll be regretting everything they are doing now" We both laughed so hard because neither of them knew what they were in for.
Two days later we all went with Violet for her final fitting as well as our own since we were all bridesmaids. She had chosen a off white sweetheart ballgown befitting a princess. Daddy had always said we were his princesses and only the best for his daughters. "Lillian how is work dear?, mother asked. "Good it's been super busy lately, but I can't complain I'm doing what I love" "How about your outside life had any tingles that your mate is near?" God why does she always ask about my love life I say to myself. "Because I care about you and want only the best for my girls." She says to me through our mindlink. "I forgot you can hear our inner thoughts." "Only way I could keep all of you in line." We both bust out laughing. I run off to try my soft mint green dress on and it fits like a glove hugging me in all of the right places. "No need to wear a bra with this" I tell myself as I look in the mirror. It is just the right shade of green to go so well with my pasty skin and fire red hair. Just as I step out everyone turns and looks at me. "You look absolutely amazing sis" I hear Rose say from behind me. "That color flatters you so well, I'm glad I chose it for you." I hear Violet say. Mom has a single tear drop falling as if she hadn't cried enough seeing Violet in her dress. Henrietta the Taylor tells us that everything will be ready in plenty of time for the wedding and that I can pick it all up week after next before I head home to help get everything ready.
Just as I step out the door of the bridal store I bump into someone and all I can smell is cinnamon and clove. "I didn't realize they had put a bakery in around here." "What are you talking about?" Rose asks. "There's no bakery around here for miles." "Well I smell cinnamon and clove and it was like I was smelling home baked goods" I turn to look for my mysterious person only to find he's vanished. "You're crazy" Rose says as we continue on down the sidewalk heading for the car and the rest of our family.
