Introducción
As I mutter an expletive under my breath, I am confronted by a voice from behind me saying, "Hey, John." It was anticipated that I would make it to my vehicle before he came down the steps after me. I mutter under my breath, "Sorry, Winston, I have somewhere to be," as I steal a glance in his direction. The redness on his face is not due to the heat, but rather to the fact that our boss has been yelling at him for the past ten minutes. "Where do you need to be right now? Winston bemoans, "You never go anywhere," and then his voice cracks as he adds, "You kind of shoved me under the bus back there, man." "I'm sorry, Winston, but I just don't have the time to talk to you right now. I yell out as I make my way to my pickup, "I'll see you tomorrow.

Winston bemoans, "You never go anywhere," and then his voice cracks as he adds, "You kind of shoved me under the bus back there, man."

"I'm sorry, Winston, but I just don't have the time to talk to you right now. I yell out as I make my way to my pickup, "I'll see you tomorrow."

I let out a sigh as I close the door to my Jetta and try to avoid making eye contact with my partner as I pass them. It's not like I lied; I just gave our employer the impression that he was the one who got the numbers wrong instead of me. What exactly was it that you needed me to do? He is aware that I am not typically one for confrontations of any kind.

When I look up, there is a scary black cloud looming over the outskirts of town. I have been waiting to turn left into my apartment when I notice it. When I look into it, I see clouds that are so dark that I've never seen before. The darkness is so dense that it almost seems supernatural.

After being startled out of my trance by an aggressive honking, I slam on the gas pedal, which causes my vehicle to shudder and shriek as it makes its way into the complex. I can't help but groan whenever I find that my parking spot has been taken by another vehicle. I make a U-turn and then back into the parking place that my roommate and I share at the very end of the lot.

I heave a sigh and mutter, "Fucking Mathews," as I get my briefcase out of the trunk. For each and every additional step that it takes to reach my front door, I devised a new curse to bestow onto Mathews. After forcing my way through the door with a huff, I enter the room and see the offender sitting on the couch with a cigarette in one hand and a beer in the other.

"Matthews, you parked in my spot again," I said to him.

"Oh, yes, I'm sorry about that, Pete," Mathews says while taking another gulp from his beer, "see, I had to carry in the groceries." Do you seriously believe that I will go all the way from the far end of the parking lot to the entrance carrying all of the groceries? You only have the briefcase in your possession."

I respond with, "Well, I guess," while moving my feet.
