Sarah’s POV
“I need money for my mom’s treatment”.
“I pushed open the door to my mothers room at the hospital,hoping she would be awake this time…”
“Sarah, we need to start the treatment as soon as possible.”
My stomach dropped.
“How much?” I asked.
“One million dollars”the doctor said.
I gasped.
“You have until next month”,he added.
I walked out of the hospital feeling worried.one million dollars .where am I supposed to get that kind of money?
“I need a job”
Then I remembered jasper telling me there was a job vacancy at the company where he worked.
That night,I went back home and barely slept. My mind kept going back to my mother and the money I needed for her treatment
The next morning,the sound of my alarm woke me up.
I quickly got ready for the job interview.
I arrived at the company and realized I was late.i looked around nervously,hoping it was not my turn yet.
Thankfully, I still had time.
When my name was called,I walked into the office and sat down.
The man sitting across from me was the CEO of the
company,Cole Jordan.
He looked strikingly handsome.
For a moment i found myself staring at his broad shoulders,but I quickly reminded myself why I came there.
I need this job!!!
He looked at me for a moment without saying anything.
The silence became slightly uncomfortable until his assistant cleared his throat.
Cole straightened his seat.
“Miss Sarah”,he said
he asked some few questions.
I answered each question as professional as I could.
We had a brief conversation and I noticed the way he listened carefully to everything I said.
Despite how intimidating he looked,I tried my best to remain confident.
After a few more questions,the interview finally came to an end.
I stood up,thanked him,and walked out of the office,hoping I would get the job.
I went back to the hospital to see my mom before heading home.
The doctor reminded me about the Payment again.
My heart sank.
I went home,worried and exhausted,I waited anxiously for a text from the company
My phone buzzed.
I quickly picked it up.
Congratulations,Miss Sarah. We are pleased to inform you that you have been selected for the position at Jordan Corporation....
I stared at the message for a moment before a huge smile spread across my face.
I got the job.
For the first time in days, I felt like this might actually work out.
I immediately called jasper.
“Jasper,I got the job!”I said excitedly.
He laughed.”I knew you would.”
“Thank you.seriously,I don’t know what I would have donr without you.”
After the call,I looked at the message again.
I had no idea that accepting this job would change my life forever.
