To support her family, she had no choice but to become involved with Cameron Grant. This cold and ruthless man had someone else in his heart, someone he viewed as his "shining star." To him, Rachel was nothing more than a tool for venting his frustrations. He never showed her an ounce of compassion. Yet despite this, she couldn’t help but fall for him. It wasn't until later, when he used the cruelest of methods to break her completely, that Rachel made the decision to sever ties and start anew. "Hey Xeno Zander, between Rachel Johnson and I, who do you like more?"

"Little minx, of course, it’s you!"

Rachel Johnson stood outside her boyfriend, Xeno's apartment, hearing her roommate, Xandra Jones’s, voice inside. After a moment of muffled kissing, Xandra spoke again.

"Who’s better in bed, me or her?"

"Don’t even bring it up!" Xeno sounded frustrated. "I’ve been with her for two years, and she’s always acting innocent, saying we should wait until marriage. Does she think I’m some kind of monk?"

Xandra giggled playfully. "Well, you’ve certainly got enough energy to drain me dry."

"Minx, it’s only because you’re so wild."

More rustling followed, then sounds that Rachel didn’t need to hear. She stood outside the door, expressionless. There was no sadness, no heartbreak. She turned and walked calmly to the elevator, pressing the button to the first floor.

Inside the elevator, a mirror reflected her image. She saw herself in a loose sweater and jeans, long black hair falling straight and simple. She wasn’t breathtaking, but there was an undeniable purity in her appearance.

Her eyes remained flat, emotionless. She left the apartment and returned straight to her dorm.

After showering and drying her hair, her phone rang.

"Mr. Grant?"

The deep, magnetic chuckle on the other end made her heart skip slightly. Just hearing it was enough to picture his devilishly handsome face.

"Matthew Lawson’s waiting for you downstairs."

"Got it."

Rachel hung up, changed into something more presentable, applied a light makeup, and slipped into a trench coat before heading out.

Matthew’s car was parked just outside the campus. She slid in, and his gentle voice greeted her. "Miss Johnson, Mr. Grant is at Azure Waters Manor. You can head to Building 3 when you get there."

Rachel gave a soft hum of acknowledgment, pulling her coat tighter as she looked out the window.

When they arrived at Azure Waters Manor, she made her way directly to Building 3. Cameron Grant wasn’t back yet, and feeling a bit drowsy, she lay down on the couch and soon drifted off.

About half an hour later, the door creaked open. A man in a black suit walked in, carrying the weight of the night on his shoulders. He saw her curled up on the sofa like a baby wrapped in a blanket. With a smooth motion, he picked her up, cradling her in his arms, and kissed her deeply.

Rachel stirred awake, her lips parting instinctively to meet his. She responded passionately, her arms circling his neck as the blanket fell away. Cameron Grant’s hand slipped beneath her trench coat.

"Why so sleepy? What were you up to last night?" His voice was low, teasing.

Her half-lidded eyes were still hazy, like she hadn’t fully woken. Those damp eyes of hers made her look soft, innocent, like a doe.

"I stayed up late finishing a project," she murmured, snuggling closer to him. "What about you? Why are you back so late?"

"Client meeting. It ran longer than expected." His fingers danced across her skin, sending shivers through her. She couldn’t suppress the soft sigh that escaped her lips.

"You’re eager, aren’t you?" He chuckled, carrying her over to the bed.

Rachel expected him to dive right in, but instead, he set her down and stepped back, looking down at her with a commanding gaze.

"Do it yourself."

Rachel blinked in surprise, but quickly composed herself. She obediently sat up, slowly removing her trench coat. Underneath, she wore a black, form-fitting dress, strapless and short, barely covering her thighs. Every curve of her body was on display.

Cameron took his time, his gaze drinking her in without shame.

Rachel knelt on the bed and reached up, her lips pressing against his Adam's apple. Her tongue flicked like a kitten’s, first circling, then giving a gentle nibble. Her hands weren’t idle either, setting small fires wherever they roamed.

Cameron remained standing, though his breathing quickened. He looked down at her efforts, his voice cool. "You’re such a tease."

Rachel lifted her head, her lips curling into a sultry smile as she pushed her chest forward. "I’ve learned it from you."

Cameron snorted softly before pulling her back into his arms, his lips claiming hers once more...
