Shanaya Oberoi

I just parked my scooty in the parking lot and was headed towards the hospital when I heard someone yelling my name.

I turned around to see that it was Myra.

She came jogging towards me and said

"I still don't understand why do you choose to ride this scooty all by yourself to the hospital when you have cars lined up for you in your mansion."

Myra asked rolling her eyes.

"Ohh come on Myra not this conversation again! I've told you a numerous times that I don't want anyone to know that I am Rajveer Oberoi's daughter." I said and she rolled her eyes again.

"I quite enjoy this freedom. I don't like those bodyguards lurking around me 24/7." I said making a face.

She just laughed at me.

I entered my department and then as our daily routine we went towards the HOD's cabin to greet her.

"Good morning Dr. Kapoor ma'am." We all greeted her.

So, I am a 2nd year post graduate student in Gynaecology department.

I have 3 collegues. We are total 4 of them in this department.

"Good morning. We have 3 deliveries lined up today. I hope you will get the preparations done on time, Shanaya." She said to me as I was going to assist the ceserrian delivery today.

"I'll start with the preparations right away." I said to her and she dismissed everyone else except me.

"Dr. Vinay Sharma will be performing the surgery. I am just going to overlook. So make sure you co-ordinate with him." She said and dismissed me too.

I was headed to talk to Dr. Sharma when suddenly I bumped into a wall and my phone which was in my hand went all the way crashing on the floor with a thud.

Wait, a wall?

I just rubbed my forhead and looked up to see whether it was really a wall.

But it wasn't!

It was a man. A tall, hazel eyed man; with a  jawline as sharp as a knife. Broad shoulders and with his sharp features he actually looked like some model who just walked off a shoot.

I came out of my haze and looked at him raising my brows.

He just rolled his eyes.

"Get aside." He said and I looked at him questioningly with my hands folded on my chest.

That was the best I could do intimidate him since he was very very intimidating.

"I think the least you could do is apologise. Since you have broken my phone into pieces, apology is the least you could give me." I said and he had a bored expression on his face as if he would rather be anywhere else but here.

He just moved aside so that he could go crossing me but I again stood before him. If he would've not shown me that attitude of his, maybe I would've let him go easily.

But with that attitude I am not going to let him leave without an apology.

"I don't have time for it." He said and once again tried to cross me but ofcourse he didn't knew he was messing with me.

I won't back down!

"Shana, Dr. Sharma is calling you in his cabin right now." One of my batchmates came to inform me and I just nodded at him.

"You are lucky I have to go otherwise I would never let this matter slide. That too with that attitude of yours." I said to the man before me who was no less than a wall while narrowing my eyes.

He just rolled his eyes at me and I left form there not before scowling at him.

Rock!

How can someone be that expressionless?

He is almost a Robot!

I went towards Dr. Sharma's cabin and knocked on the door.

"Ohh come in Dr. Shanaya." Dr. Sharma said as he looked up to me.

"Sir, You asked for me?" I asked him.

"Yeah... he was feeling a bit lonely." Another one of the faculty members said to me while laughing.

Dr.Anand Verma, the most horrible faculty member who has no respect for anyone.

He just insults anybody and everybody and nobody questions him because he has authority in the college.

I fought the urge to make some really nasty remark and show him his place because he was a faculty member and I was supposed to respect him. So I let it slide for the time being.

"I'll arrange for the surgery in 10 minutes, Dr. Sharma." I said and left the cabin banging the door loudly.

If they come to know that they are making these remarks on the girl who is an Oberoi's daughter they will probably be so horrified that they'd run away to another planet.

That is the reason nobody in this college knows about my family background. They would treat me diffrently. I wanted to experience everything. I wanted to gain respect for myself for who I am and not because I am an influential person's daughter.

I just prepared everything for the surgery and then went to inform Dr. Kapoor ma'am about it.

I knocked on her cabin and she gave the permission to enter.

"The preparations for the surgery are done, ma'am. The patient is waiting." I said looking at her.

She just nodded at me and said

"I'll be there in 10."

When I turned around to leave again I saw the same man who was as expressive as a rock.

He looked at me and rolled his eyes. His face was blank.

"Aarav, what brings you here?" Dr. Kapoor asked him.

Ohh, the rock has a name!

Aarav.

Nice name, though!

Shaking away my thoughts I left from there.

Why are you thinking about him?

I just left the surgery room and was going to leave to for lunch because post lunch back to back surgeries are lined up.

"Shanaya." Someone called me. I turned to see that it was Dr. Verma, the same creepy bastard.

"Yess, sir." I said.

"The next time you leave the cabin, do not bang the door too loudly." He said giving me a challenging look.

But was I going to take his shit?

No, definitely not!

"The next time I would try my level best to shut the door as slow as possible if you decide not to pass any nasty comments on me." I said with a polite smile on my face.

"Have you forgot your manners?" He asked gritting his teeth.

"Definitely not, Sir. I won't bang the door again." I said with a sarcastic smile and left from there.

Asshole!

Ugghh!

My day is filled with greeting assholes today, I guess!

I was headed towards the canteen and I spotted Myra having her lunch with Ayaan. I started walking towards them with my sandwich and coffee in my hand but suddenly someone bumped with my shoulder and the whole coffee was spilled on his shoes.

"What the fuck?" I yelled.

He did not just spill my coffee!

I looked up to see who was this stupid person when again I met with the same pair of hazel eyes staring at me furiously.

Finally some expression.

"Can't you watch where are you going?" He said raising his brows.

"Excuse me, you should do the same while walking. Instead on giving others a piece of mind." I said furiously.

"Why am I even talking to you?" He muttered and started leaving when I held him by his arm.

He looked back at me and then at my hand which is holding his arm.

I quickly took my hand away and said to him "What do you think of yourself? Mr.Almighty. First you break my phone then you spill my coffee and waste it. Instead of apologizing to me you are giving this attitude of yours to me." I said raising my voice a bit.

By this time everyone seated in the canteen was watching me.

"Do you even know who are you talking to?" He asked me raising his brows.

"No! And I don't give a fuck about it." I said furiously.

Bloody Jerk!

"Shana, calm down. Let's go." Myra said to me quickly pulling me away.

"What? Why should I go? He should apologise to me first." I said to her.

"Sir, I am sorry on her behalf. She lives under a rock it seems, so she didn't recognize you. But she won't repeat this." Myra said to him pleading.

What?

Sorry?

I live under a rock!

"Myra!— I started but she interrupted me

"Shut up & let's go." She said and pulled me towards the table.

I just narrowed my eyes at that Rock.

"I'll see you later!" I yelled at him and he just went away rolling his eyes.

His eyes are going to roll out of his sockets some day because of all the rolling thing.
