'.....our honor student, Celina Hobbins.' The dean of student affairs, Jacob Price announces. There is an uproar of applause in the auditorium, the thundering sounds of hundreds of hands clapping together in excitement. The five nine brunette whose height increased due to the four—inch red bottom heels she wore. Celina Hobbins, the star student of Business and Finance at Yale University, class of 2014. Everybody adored her, boys wanted her to belong to them, girls wanted to be her friends, and Celina was carried away by the privilege she had to be the daughter of the Hobbins. She accepted everyone into her life without any need for filtering cause she believed they all truly loved her. She was excited that she was the girl that everyone adored and parents wanted their kids to be. She takes confident strides to the stage, her beautiful round face, her hazel eyes bright and alive, her pointed nose sharp and pointed, her plump lips coated in several layers of her Favorite raspberry lipgloss. Her smile was captivating and genuine as she climbed the stairs and ended up on the pulpit next to the Dean who gave her a bright smile. He hands over the certificate to her and several of the flashlight from the camera goes off, the intensity of the white lights was enough to get her blind but Celina didn't care, she didn't care because she was making her parents proud by being the best in what she did and she was proud that the world could see her too. She taps the microphone to see if it's on, laughing along with the rest of the people who found it funny to check if the microphone the dean used a few minutes ago was still working.

'Good day, to the dean, academic heads, and the class of 2014. It's wonderful that we're here together again, at the end of one of life's journeys, it was an incredible ride with every one of you, from the good study free days where we spent the night binging our favorite shows, which was a few times by the way.' The audience laughs at her statement which several students could confirm is true. She looks into the crowd, focusing on no one in particular. 'And the days, ninety percent of the days where we sobbed into our notes, assignments, projects, praying to God to let it all end.' they laugh again. Her eyes now settle on the Black haired boy, with grey eyes in the crowd who was cheering loudly for her. Grey Wilson, her boyfriend for the past five years, was brainy like she was, handsome, the ladies' man, his parents as wealthy as hers. The entire school called them the power couples, they fit perfectly. And everyone admired the relationship they shared.

'But I'm happy that we've spent the good times and bad times with people who've made it memorable, people who remind us how much life have to offer.' she smiles, the mood in the hall suddenly emotional as students reminisce over the past years spent in schools with their best buds and lovers.

'Yes, you Go girl! I love you too.' Raj, her gay Indian friend yells from the crowd. She laughs, her heart filled with warmth. Then the Hall falls into silence, she thought it was because they were eager to listen to the rest of her speech but the whispers and swift glances made at her got her thinking of something else. Her eyes dart to her boyfriend, Grey who was staring at something on his phone, his face frowning, she was confused and lost. What is going on? The whispers and tones got louder, she looked at the dean who was as confused as she was. He walked up to her, letting him take the space she formerly occupied.

'Can we all please maintain decorum?' he says into the microphone, his plead goes unyielded to as the audience gets louder. One of the staff gets up the stage and whispered something into his ear, his eyes widened at the newfound information passed unto him. Celina stared at her best friend Raj, who was already looking at her, his eyes hooded in discomfort. He opened his mouth to say something she could decipher but closed it shut like he wasn't sure if he should tell her. He finally makes a decision and gets out of his seat, struggling through the seated students to get out to the front to meet his best friend. He wasn't stopped when he got onstage and took Celina's arms in his, pulling her away from the stage and down the stairs out the door that led to the hallway.

'What is going on Raj?' she asked, her voice shaky and unstable. The doors that led to the hallway open and Mrs. Theresa, her counselor, appears.

'Celina we need to tell you something.' she says, before she could say anymore, Celina's phone dings and a notification pops up on her iPhone. It was from her brother Ben.

'They're gone.' it reads. 'Mum and dad are gone.'

If Celina was standing on a glass bridge, she would've crumbled along with it, breaking into a thousand pieces and falling away into the deep darkness.

Her eyes flutter open, the white fluorescent light from her lamp shining brightly in her large room. Celina had another dream of the incident that changed her life forever six years ago. Her eyes focused on the white ceiling, which had stripes of the sun rays that sipped in through the small opening from her curtain. She closed her eyes for a brief second and then opens them. Today was another day for her, to push away everything negative thing that had happened to her and focus on the future by ignoring everything that was said about her. She gets out of her king—sized bed which could fit in seven more people of her size with enough space in between.

'Hey Siri.' she says to the AI on her iPhone, the display comes on and the automated voice of the female AI responds.

'Good morning, Celina.'

'Play me, strangers, in the night by Frank Sinatra.'

Celina slides in her fluffy white slippers at the edge of her bed. The slow jazz opening of the song comes on. She gets on her feet and strides towards her bathroom in her white silk nightwear. Celina Hobbins enjoyed and practiced minimalist living, her room painted in plain white, her bedsheets in plain white covers just like every piece of furniture in her room and her entire house. Her wardrobe was the only thing that had a bit of color, not too much, for she always believed in the power of monochromatic fashion. She steps into her bathroom, staring at her pale face in the large mirror, she loses her hair from the messy bun, her short brunette hair falling in waves on her shoulder, her hazel eyes staring back at the reflection in the mirror. She steps into the shower, turning on the hose to let the warm water cascade down her tanned skin. She soaks herself with her favorite raspberry soap, the scent calming her nerves. She scrubs herself until she deemed it fit that she is clean. She wear the white fluffy robe that sat in the closet in her large bathroom.

She dresses up in a plain light purple pencil skirt and blouse. Her hair stretched with a heating iron and her makeup simple like she liked it, raspberry gloss, a thin coat of mascara, and eyeliner. She was pretty and she knows it. Her phone begins to ring as she grabs her shoes.

'Maria is calling.' Siri says.

'Answer.' she instructs.

'Good morning ma'am, your car is ready.' Maria Chris, her PA informs her, the twenty—three—year—old loved her boss so much even though she knew so little about her.

'My schedule for today?' Celina asks, grabbing her phone from the bedside cupboard. She walks outside of her room and into the living room.

'You have a meeting with Mr. Ramez from Carl and sons by 10 am. Lunch with Mrs. Roseline by 1 pm, the commissioning of the Eastside Gym by 3 pm, another meeting by 5 pm with the construction company, and dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Brown at Lulu's by 7.' Maria answers.

'Okay.' she says and ends the call. She walks out of the house locking the door behind her and stalks towards the elevator. She looked down at her wristwatch. 8:30 am. She sighs, knowing that she couldn't hate Monday any lesser than she already does.

Her driver, Oliver was already waiting for her, the black glossy Audi, a gift she got for herself on her 26th birthday, customized just to suit her taste, she was quite satisfied with the outcome.

Oliver opens the door for her, greeting her politely as she settles down in the car without saying anything to him. Oliver has been Celina's driver for the past six years and never for once minded that she ignored him.

He had heard rumors of Celina's past but dared not to talk to her about it.

'Where to miss?' he asks as he sits in the car, turning on the engine.

'The office.' she says curtly, starting from the window. Oliver nods at her instruction.

'And Oliver makes sure we get there in the next twenty minutes.' she added.
