Rickard cursed as he turned around to face his security team. How could they not track down a supermodel? A woman who had her face plastered on every billboard all over the USA? Despite him being a billionaire and business tycoon, the CEO of clark enterprises, a company spanned all over the world dealing in top class casinos and hotels, he was starting to feel hopeless.
“Rickard, we have been trying hard to track her for three days now. There has been no sign of Hannah.” His head of security and best friend, Michael said.
Rickard glanced at Micheal and pulled his tie loose as he lowered his six foot plus frame into the chair across from his team, four others plus Micheal Steele.
“I don’t care! I want her located and back. She is carrying my child for Christ sake!” Rickard roared. All the men flinched except for Micheal who leveled his friend with a glare.
“Gentlemen,” Micheal turned to his team, “Please give me a moment with Mr. Clark, till then proceed as I have stated before this meeting.” The team left the two men in the office.
Micheal ran a hand through his hair and sat down. He looked at his best friend’s miserable state. They had been together since they were kids, going all the way back to middle school. Micheal took in Rickard’s appearance, his dark brown hair was all over the place and his steel grey eyes had bags under them.
“Look man..” micheal stated but was cut off by Rickard.
“..What if it was Rose?” Richard asked quietly.
Micheal looked down and twirler his wedding ring. He knew he would have torn down the world in half of it would have been his wife, Rosalie.
“For a moment, I thought things were going well. I had proposed, she had accepted and two weeks later we found out we were expecting out first child but same day she vanishes into thin air?” Rickard whimpered.
His and Hannah’s relationship was complicated. She was his priority but to her, her career was everything. He knew she choosed her career first but for once he never felt bad about it. He loved her too much. He was Infact proud of her accomplishments, this year she was going to be running for Ms. Universe due to which made them postponed the wedding plans.
From the beginning of their relationship which spanned over four years, Hannah had made sure Rickard got the fact that she never wanted children, at least not anytime soon. She couldn’t put her modeled body through childbearing stress she claimed, but Rickard had presumed that it was because she was at the beginning of her career and eventually once they fall into a good pace she would be ready for a family.
So, four days ago when he had walked into their house at the East Estate, he found two pregnancy tests that were positive dumped on their bathroom floor and when he had called out to get, silence greeted him back. As he finally got down from cloud nine he had noticed that their wardrobe war ravaged as Hannah had hurriedly packed and left. He had tried calling her but no response from her side. He even called her best friend Anna but she denied hearing from her. He knew this pregnancy must have come as shock to her as she was busy dealing with the preparations for the pageant but he believed they could work something out. They always did. However, here he was three days later without no information of his pageant fiancé.
“Rickard—“ Micheal stated but was cut off as the office door burst open and Aaron, the tech Wizz of their team, barged in.
Mr. Clark, we found Ms. Rain.”

Mirabel Stark’s rubbed her neck as she straighten from the desk she had slept on.
“Dammit!” She muttered as she tried to massage her stiff neck. She looked down the medical textbooks and research papers scattered all over her desks. The reality hit her like a brick wall and her chest constricted.
She took deep breaths to ease the pain off her chest.
It has been seven months since her younger brother had been fighting with stage four brain cancer and each day got worse. But what made everything worse was the fact that despite her being a neurosurgeon, she was not able to save her baby brother. Their parents had died in a car crash years ago and few weeks later, Carl had been diagnosed with brain cancer.
It had took every ounce of strength in her body to pull through this time but she needed to be strong for her brother. He was only Twenty two, only two years younger than her. He had his entire life in front of him. Of course being family and too emotionally invested she was not allowed to be the leading doctor in his case but she kept tabs and threw herself into medical text, praying that maybe something would come up but so far she had nothing but meaningless papers in her hands as Carl fought for his life in the hospital bed.
Mirabel got up from the chair as she noticed that it was almost six in the morning and she had to be in the hospital by seven. She had three planned surgeries today minus any emergencies that came through.
She went into the bathroom and took on the shower as she waited for the water to warm up. She twisted her auburn hair into a burn. Just as she was about to enter into the shower, her phone rang out, vibrating all over the desk.
Mirabel hurriedly went back into the room and her heart sank as she noticed it was Carl’s lead doctor, Doctor Mike calling.
“Hello..” Mirabel said, her voice barely above a whisper.
“Doctor Stark….. Mirabel, I think you should come to the hospital.” Mike said and she nodded, but managed to say okay. She hurriedly threw on a pair of clothing that came into her hand; it didn’t matter as she would change into her scrubs once she reached the hospital.
She made it to the hospital in one piece despite her shaky breaths and trembling hands. She ran into Carl’s room.
“Mirabel.” A nurse called out to her.
“Jane please…” Mirabel turned to face the nurse, her eyes filled with tears and expectation.
“Mirabel… honey… Dr. Mike told me to inform you that they have taken Carl into surgery as he had a hemorrhage due to rupture of an aneurysm in his brain.” Jane took in the apprearance of the beautiful shattered woman in front of her. Her blue-green eyes were brimming with tears. Jane had a special bond with Mirabel as Mirabel had always sought out to her for advice and help and Jane herself being a widow without a child, she took Mirabel as her own daughter.
“I think you should go freshen up love.” Jane said again as she patted her arms and hurriedly went down the corridor as a doctor called out to her.
Mirabel made her way towards the doctor’s lounge in a haste.
