Hannah hurried down the road, hugging and crying, as it rained heavily that night. The weather seemed to share the girl's emotions. The fight with her father and mother did not go well and she was kicked out of her home.
She had no idea where she was going that night and hadn't even brought her luggage or purse. Hannah's face was red and blood was dripping down her forehead as a result of the blows her father had given her in the face with the mop stick.
Her legs and feet were gradually weakening, as she had not eaten since morning. When she returned home, her father beat her because she had not given him any money.
She gives almost all of her salary to her parents, and most of it goes to her gambling and drinking addictions. Her brother is merely arrogant at home, and she is the only one with a job between them. Her brother continues to be persecuted and coddled by her parents, even though he is not looking for work.
Hannah scanned the road for a place to take cover. She opted to cross the road after spotting a building across the street.
However, since the girl was not looking on her route, she was too late to avoid the approaching vehicle.
Heavy braking and crashing noises could be heard on the road. Hannah's bleeding body splattered all over the road as she overturned.
When the woman unexpectedly appeared on the road, Ethan was taken aback. He didn't realize it right away, so stopping was out of the question.
Despite his anxiety, the young man got out of the car and saw the bleeding woman lying on the road. He immediately approached her and touched her shoulder.
"Miss... Can you hear me? Miss..." Ethan whispered something to the woman as he shook her to see if she was awake.
But the woman remained silent, so he looked around and called for help. But there was no one around, and not even a car was passing by at that hour.
Consequently, he chose to examine the woman's wrist. On her wrist, he slowly felt for a pulse. When he did not find the woman's pulse, he immediately performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
He spared no time and kissed her on the lips to convey his encouragement. He also tried to save the woman several times.
The woman stirred and took a deep breath after a few moments. Ethan sat on the side of the road, on the brink of death, to make sure the woman was safe.
"Thank God!" remarked Ethan quickly as he looked at the woman, who was still breathing and her heart was pounding again despite her eyes being closed.
"Miss... Miss?" he touched her arm again.
Hannah's eyes slowly opened and she saw a man's face. But she closed her eyes again and passed out.
Ethan opted to pick the woman up and transport her in his car. He drove her to a nearby hospital to ensure her well-being.
He disguised himself with a mask and cap before getting out of the car. He requested the help of a nurse to lift the woman. The nurse and the doctor on call at the hospital responded quickly and attended to the patient.
Ethan's phone rang as he watched the woman being attended to. He quickly pulled it out of his jeans pocket and answered.
"Where did you go, Ethan?" The production company has been expecting your arrival for some time," Harrison, his manager, immediately inquired.
"Something's happened..." Ethan massaged his forehead, not knowing what to say. "Right now, I'm at the hospital."
Harrison sat up abruptly in his chair as Ethan announced that he was in the hospital, startling his meeting partner.
"Wait, what, what went terribly wrong?" His principal asked, startled.
As he watched the doctor revive the woman he had accidentally bumped into, Ethan pulled away and leaned against the wall.
"I bumped into someone," he said after taking a deep breath.
Ethan looked at the glass window of the emergency room and then clenched his fist and prayed for the woman's survival.
"Come on! Please hold on." As he watched the doctors resuscitate the woman inside the ER, Ethan screamed in his head.
"Please help me!" Ethan muttered under his breath.
"I'm going in there! Don't panic. Just text me the address of the hospital," Harrison said right away.
"Thanks!" Ethan then hung up and sent Harrison a text message with the hospital's address.
Harrison, for his part, merely canceled the meeting and reported Ethan's situation. The producer acknowledged this and stated that the meeting would be rescheduled.
Ethan is a well-known pianist and performer in the entertainment world. For his gifts as a pianist and singer, he is now appreciated and admired by ladies and many international fans. As soon as you hear his voice, you will be bowled over and in love with it. He also has a nice appearance.
He is a tall, smooth-skinned, white and very attractive man with a sharp nose. You would never imagine there was such a beautiful species on the planet. No doubt you would melt in place at the sight of such a man and be unable to speak, as the world seems to have stopped.
Ethan exhaled a sigh of relief when he realized he had recovered the woman's life. He took a seat in the plastic chair against the wall.
Later, a doctor came out of the emergency room, and instantly stood up and approached him to ask.
"How's that girl doing, Doctor?" asked Ethan with concern.
The Doctor was surprised to see him, as he was wearing a mask and could barely see Ethan's eyes. The Doctor guessed that the man in front of him was a well-known artist.
"As far as I know, the patient's condition is stable. He has a small fracture to his left leg and a significant head injury. But for the moment, we have to keep an eye on her, as she looks malnourished and frail," the doctor said as he explained the patient's condition to the man.
"Is that true? Thank you." Ethan expressed relief to learn the truth.
"Well, what is your relationship to her?" the doctor asked. "If you have any kind of relationship with her, you should fill out your information at the nurse's desk."
"I'm sorry! I don't know her; in fact, I ran into her and brought her to the hospital. " Ethan nodded.
"Ah, then wait until she wakes up so we can get the information we need; then they'll move her to the ward." The doctor patted his arm and said, "Very well, I'll go first."
"Thank you once again, doctor." Ethan again expresses his gratitude to the doctor.
Next, the nurse approached him and asked for the patient's room preference. The nurse instantly followed his instructions once she chose the private room.
Ethan escorted the woman to the private room.
As the woman continued to sleep, he approached the bedside and observed her. He immediately felt sorry for her as he saw the bruises on her face and the cuts all over her body.
He noticed that the woman had a head wound, bruises on her arm and a bandaged leg.
"Shit! What have I done to you?" As Ethan was horrified with himself, he claimed that all of the woman's injuries had been caused by the collision, but what he didn't know was that her family often mistreated her.
He sat up and took the woman's hand between his own.
"Please accept my apology..." Ethan spoke softly.
Ethan considered taking off the gold necklace with a G-note pendant and putting it on the woman as he looked at her. He decided to put the necklace around her neck, the necklace has a design of its own with a diamond and an initial engraved on the back, this necklace is the only one in the world.
"When we meet again, I will make up for all the wrongs I have done." Then he gave her a kiss on the forehead.
Her phone rang again and she picked it up right away.
Ethan answered, "I'm in room 304."
Then he heard two knocks and the door opened at the same time. He was approached by Harrison, who instantly asked him a question.
"How are you, has anyone seen you, why are you so soaked?" his manager asked.
Ethan was dissatisfied, as the man was more concerned about his own well-being than the woman in the bed.
"Since no one has seen me, pay your bills," he told Harrison, who nodded.
"All right! Come on, someone might see you in here," Harrison said, invitingly to Ethan.
They took a step toward the door to leave, but before Ethan could leave, he saw the woman again and etched her face back into his mind.
He then continued walking out of the hospital, following Harrison.
He immediately climbed into the black Lamborghini parked next to the hospital.
"Wait for me and I'll take care of her bills." Harrison informed her, and walked back into the hospital.
After paying the bills and putting money on the woman's bed, Harrison got into his car and drove back to Ethan's condo after paying the woman's expenses.
Harrison, for his part, left after reminding her of his plans for the next day.
"Good, now get some rest, we'll have a photo shoot tomorrow," Harrison said.
Ethan nodded and said, "Okay."
Ethan went straight to his condo and showered.
Ethan kept remembering what had happened as he showered. The scenario where he collides with the woman and performs CPR on her. He was so scared at the time that he almost drowned.
As he watched the doctors resuscitate the woman, he felt the same thing.
What is the woman's name and why is he so nervous?
He gently massaged his left chest and felt his heartbeat....
