Everyone is being judged or misjudged in daily routines and soon misunderstanding kindles to set a fire. As if gossip and schemes have become sweet candies to increase blood sugar, without them, some people will have an unproductive day.

For what? For everything!

For instance, it can be over a decision one has made in their life. It might start from accepting an improper relationship contract and lifestyle, which is uncommon for others, to a blind date with a stranger.

So did I, like many other people, and confronted hell, but it was the only best decision I could’ve ever made in the end. To save my sister from an absolute death.

I was sure many people could put their feet in my shoes. They had harsh situations that led them to choose the bad one rather than the worst, and so did I.

“We will be husband and wife for an entire year. When the contract ends, I’ll register for divorce.”

He broke the train of my thoughts. He had booked this indulging luxury restaurant to offer me this contract in exchange for paying my sister’s hospital expenses.

Alexander was drumming his fingers on the table. He studied me to see whether I would oppose that offer.

“I have one condition, then!”

“I hear it!”

His eyes flickered with stars. As if he could read my mind. I was afraid of this man and his dangerous, brown eagle eyes. It gave me the feeling of being a bunny he would want to catch.

“No sex!” I came up bluntly. He didn’t like to make it twisted.

Out-dated, narrow-minded idiot, delusional! I heard them a lot! But not everyone’s belief was the same as another.

My entire life was a damn shit! I had no time to date someone or experience true love. I just worked my ass off to earn money. To protect my younger sister, the only one left from my lovely family. To make sure I wouldn’t lose her to that vicious cardiac disease.

No sex with anybody because I sought Love in it! To allow the one who truly loved me to touch my body. I loathed to let lust lead my life. Even if it was physically useful, I was sure my mental health could not take it.

I loathed to keep overthinking about whether what I did was correct or wrong!

Why? Because I believed in love. Having affairs without genuine sentiments couldn’t evolve my soul and fill the gap in my heart. I lived a life that lacked love after losing my parents.

They gave us a massive love, and the other day, it was gone. I wanted the same specialty back in my life, otherwise it would lead me to a terrible mental breakdown.

I could not let this happen. At least I didn't want to, but if I had to do it because of Lena, I would. I had to stay strong to help my younger sister survive the wildness of the world as a human.

His devil smile ran wider!

“Oh, dear Marianne! You are so innocently cute. But I’m not an understanding, lovely man, and I have yearnings. Convince me with a significant reason.”

I swallowed, but my throat was dry. I didn’t want to have sex with a man I didn’t love. That was all! Wasn't it reasonable enough?

“I will keep myself pure for the man I will one day love. I expect you to respect my mindset. Instead, I don’t want any money except for the amount that Tara’s father and you gave me to pay my sister’s hospital fees and transplantation costs. I promise to disappear from your life after the contract’s termination.”

To my surprise, Alex’s expression darkened.

“I’m sorry! But according to this contract, you must satisfy me whenever I ask. I have no appetite for changing the conditions. Also, I want a child.”

My eyes grew wide. My heart pounded as if drums were on a battlefield.

“It was a condition to give the money! Tara should have told you.”

Tara wanted a genuine marriage and had no clue that her cousin would offer a one-year contract.

My dear lovely friend acted as a wingman, but her cunning cousin tricked her. He just wanted a child, not a long-term marriage.

I had to draw back because of my sister, Lena.

I hesitated to assess my situation and slowly drew out the words that made my back sweat. “Alright! I have to deal with the devil!”

I uttered it frankly, trying to be confident, when he urged himself to be truthful and obvious to his intentions. I needed this money to save Lena!

“So prepare yourself for tomorrow night! I want my wife to satisfy me on my wedding night. Prove it to me whether you are worthy of the money I paid to have you or not. Give me a child and you'll be free afterward.”

He saw me as his property! And it made him even more terrifying.

I was involved with a man with a breathtaking handsomeness but a dangerous air hanging around him that could suffocate me.
