After that, she spent the whole night not remembering anything she had done. It was actually not a problem for Hazel, but when she woke up in a luxurious room without single clothes on her, it became a problem. What the hell did she do last night! The bathroom door opened, and Hazel saw a tall, perfectly carved man smiling at her with wet hair and a towel covering his lower half. Hazel swallowed hard. Who?!

Hazel Wright took her bag in the side of her bedroom table, she glanced at the watch wrapped around her wrist and took a deep breath.

  07.00 PM.

Her work started at 08.00 PM, so she still had an hour to get to work.

Hazel put some makeup in her bag and look at her face in the bedroom mirror. She pulled a big smile trying to encourage herself. Today is her first day of work. Well, maybe not really her first day, she has been doing work training for about one month, but today is her first official day working as a permanent employee.

“Let’s get a generous tip!” she said with her hand opened her bedroom door.

  “Are you leaving already?”

Hazel turned her head to the origin of the voice. Her mother got up from the chair in the living room and walked over to Hazel who’s answering her question with a nod.

“I still don’t understand why you have to take a job like that, do you need more money?”

Hazel shook her head smiling, “I don’t need any extra money, mother, I just need to get some experience in college. And I don’t have any other work to do anyway, so it’s better this way.”

Her mother nodded weakly, “Well then, be careful.”

After saying goodbye to her mother, Hazel immediately got out of her house and walked towards the bus stop.

Looking for experience and doesn’t have any other things to do.

What kind of excuses were those, thought Hazel lowering her head as she waited for the bus to come.

Hazel doesn’t need more money, her daily needs are fulfilled from her father’s job and the college scholarship she got, but it won’t last long. Soon she will graduate from college and she must prepare some money for her after her graduation. She didn’t want to continue to live by her parent’s money.

Hazel bit her lip, maybe it would be better if she got a more secure job than her current job as a waitress at a bar. However, looking for a job that opens at night with a salary as good as the one given by her workplace is not that many, so she’s very grateful for getting a job in her bar.

  “Hazel?”

Ah, Hazel turned to see one of her friends in college walking over to her.

  “Hey, Monica,” she said smiling.

  “Where are you going?”

  “Umm, my job.”

“I didn’t know you were working?”

  Hazel smiles, “Part-time work.”

  “Ah, where?”

  “Starlight Bar,” said Hazel hesitantly.

“Starlight Bar?!” Monica's face widened in surprise. “Isn’t that the fancy bar in Central?”

Before Hazel could answer Monica’s question, the girl opened her mouth again excitedly.

“Gosh, I heard it’s very expensive there, and only rich people and famous people come there, how do you get a job there?”

Hazel smiled awkwardly, “Um, because I apply there…”

“That’s not what I mean, silly,” Monica nudge Hazel’s shoulder with a laugh, “do you know anyone from the inside?”

  “Well, something like that.”

“Wow, how lucky, oh by the way can you…”

Hazel raised her hand to stop Monica and smiled softly, “My bus is here, I’m sorry.”

Monica sees a blue bus that stops in front of them. “Alright, be careful,” she said quietly.

Hazel was very grateful when the bus arrived at a perfect time. Hearing what Monica about to say, she knew very well that she was going to ask her for any discount of benefit that the employee got from the bar. And Hazel has no intention of doing anything like that.

“Not really an insider,” muttered Hazel as she sat on the bus seat.

A month ago, an older sister who grew up with Hazel in the orphanage, Tanya, quit the Starlight Bar because she was about to get married to her boyfriend. Knowing that Hazel asked her if she could work there to take after Tanya’s position.

Maybe Hazel should buy Tanya some drinks in the bar for helping her land the job at the Starlight Bar, thought Hazel smiling.

Her bus stopped at the Central Station, Sydney. Hazel walked out of the bus and pulled her hair back. The night air wasn’t very cold, but she tightened the jacket she was wearing. She doesn’t really like cold.

Her feet walked briskly towards the Starlight Bar in the middle of Central as she broke a smile when her eyes caught the light name Starlight Bar. She immediately fastens her pace to get closer when she noticed a couple of people standing in front of the bar building, talking to each other.

That was early, think Hazel. The bar wouldn’t be opened until eight.

Just a few meters closer to the building door, Hazel could clearly see the people near the door.

There were three men in fancy suits and shiny expensive shoes. The typical Starlight Bar customers. Maybe they just finished dinner and decided to stop and have a little drink.

Hazel watched those three people before entering the bar. She had seen two faces from those three men several times during her work training, but she didn’t really know one of those three faces.

  He was so handsome.

Maybe, her thought was too loud, because the man suddenly looked at Hazel with a cigar in his right hand.

  Oh, no, he noticed her.

Hazel should’ve looked away immediately, but something about that man hypnotized her.

That neatly carved faced, high cheekbones with a sharp nose and dark blue eyes, made Hazel keep staring at him.

And this time, the man smiled answering her gaze.

His beautiful cheeks moved to form a cute dimple behind his neat beard.

Wow, he was too freaking handsome.
