Ava POV

The painful feeling of having to stand staring at the divorce papers on the table, I knew this very day will come but I never knew it will come this sooner.

I was prepared or I think I am prepared, I never cared about someone the way I cared for Shane. He was the only man who I thought loved me for me and not for what I have.

Rather than read through the document I decided to ignore it and have my bathe, I can't have him ruin my mood especially when tomorrow I am to be made president of my father's company.

I sat at the living room going through some paperwork and the speech I was going to render tomorrow.

No matter how I try not to look at the papers on the table I end up thinking, I was deeply furious but didn't have anyone to pour it out on, all my employees in the house had already gone.

Even the clock was doing no good, the tick tock sound kept playing in my head that Shane is yet to return, I knew were he was but I don't want to seem like a crazy woman coming to drag her husband out from the bar.

Never the less, the divorce papers won, now I sat reading intently on what he wanted from me, it was ridiculous to start with, not only was he requesting for half of what I own, he asked for a whole lot more.

Of course I wasn't going to agree to any of it but we just have to wait and see. Shane has always given to any of my demands and it looked like he never liked doing it, something in me knew he had other motives guess I wasn't wrong.

I could no longer wait for him to return, so I retired to bed, I also locked the room so he doesn't have access to it can't have him next to me especially knowing what he had done.

Shane POV

Loud music, colourful lighting, alcohol and friends is my daily medicine to get away from Ava anger, don't get me wrong I love seeing her angry cause she looks cute but at times she gets infuriating and that puts me off, though for the past few days she has been extremely nice to me, something she does when she needs me.

I was so glad to hear she would be made president, though I knew it from the get go and being the president's daughter that is a one way ticket to the President chair.

"Shane pass me that Vodka" Davis my best friend requested, he also called in some girls to accompany us.

One of the girls started touching me in ways any man who wasn't married or isn't faithful to his wife wouldn't resist, I kept twisting and turning to get myself out of that situation.

It's being long since I had sex with Ava, she always complained how painful it's gets when I am inside her or how she didn't understand the feeling.

There hasn't been anything that I haven't given up for her, she once asked me if it was possible that we should try not to have kids that they were annonying and disturbing____ how in hell can we have kids if it isn't easy to get her to have sex.

Even before we got married she told me I should understand if she choose not to change her surname from Adams to Gavin, that too I understood perfectly.

My friends have even asked me if I was happy with my life, I had nothing to say to them, I can't say that am happy neither can I say that am sad.

The closeness of the girls on me was getting too much and temptation was rising, all I could do was escape from it, I excused myself and left the bar.

When I got home I went straight to my room but the door was locked, I tried a couple of times to unlock it but it wouldn't budge, I ended up sleeping on the couch in the living room.

The next morning I made myself a hangover soup, Ava has always been an early bird but today I was the first to wake up.

I shifted the documents on the dinning table so I can have my soup, she must've left all this paperwork while working late again.

While pushing them to the side there was one particular file that caught my eye, it was opened so it was easy to take a look at the content.

I just took a peek at it and I knew what it was, I knew she was going to do this but I didn't know it was to happen in the soonest, bloody hell this is deep shit.

Thankfully she came down the stairs so I didn't have to call her out since it would be way out of line and It would come off different from my entire persona, I have been patient for three years, what is five seconds that I can't wait so she could get to where I was.

"Where were you last night?" She asked like she didn't know, I always made sure to update her of my whereabouts.

"First tell me what this means" I pushed the papers to her side, she didn't even look at it before she retorted.

"Shouldn't I be asking you that? You greedy son of a bitch!" She threw away the papers, I wasn't shocked just surprised.

"You didn't do it?" I asked, she never gets this much angry unless the matter didn't hurt her.

"Stop acting like you didn't know, you've always wanted my property right, go ahead and have it"

"I had no idea about this" I said to correct her misconception but knowing Ava, anything in her mind is what goes.

"Do you think am a fool? Just wait till after my induction before we can talk more on this, can't have you ruining my special day cause of this, when the ceremony is over you shall hear from my lawyer" She stormed off.

I wanted to call out to her and explain more to her understanding that I had nothing to do with this, but the arrival of the house cleaner prompt me not to. We might seem like the perfect couple to our workers but we try so hard to keep our relationship in check and keep our problems from their ears.

We didn't speak to each other, even our ride to the conference hall were Ava would be made president was silent as ever, which should come as a surprise to our driver who has continually heard us argue back to back to things not worth arguing for.

Ava shoved her hands into mine to look picture perfect for the cameras and media, you can never tell we just had a heated argument because of how natural she made me look, flashing her glamorous side to the camera.
