Dominik Cardenas was floating on the sea. His body was sometimes high and sometimes low along with the waves, as if he was swinging a swing.
Now, he was thirsty and dizzy. He held the wooden board with one hand and drew the water with the other.
He turned to look at Jazmin Hill, who was on the other side of the wooden board. Her face was terribly pale and her eyelids were drooping, as if she would faint at any time.
He asked with concern, "Jazmin, how are you?"
Jazmin's situation was much worse than Dominik's. Her physical exhaustion was serious and her mind was getting more and more dizzy. She was already on the verge of fainting.
She said feebly in a trembling voice, "Dominik, I may not be able to hold on any longer!"
Dominik said loudly, "Hold on! The land ahead is very close. Look!"
Jazmin looked forward, but unfortunately, she was dizzy. Everything in front of her was blurred and nothing could be seen clearly.
She no longer had the strength to draw water. She grabbed the edge of the wooden board with both hands. Her eyes were unfocused, and her little head kept sinking into the sea.
The two of them, holding such a small piece of broken wooden board, had floated in the vast sea for a whole night.
Dominik's and Jazmin's "Pearl" suddenly exploded in the evening. The hull broke and the ship sank.
When they fell into the water, Dominik and Jazmin happened to meet each other. They were also leaning against this broken wooden board and were lucky enough not to sink into the sea.
When the sky brightened, what excited them was that green appeared in front of them. In the sea, only the land had green.
More than an hour later, they were getting closer and closer to the green ahead, but their remaining strength was getting weaker and weaker.
Dominik could still hold on, but Jazmin had reached her limit.
"Don't fall asleep! Hold on!" Dominik encouraged Jazmin loudly.
While observing Jazmin's situation, Dominik saw something swaying behind him from the corner of his eye.
He looked back and saw a triangular object swimming rapidly from the sea.
It was a shark! It was a shark fins!
"Jazmin, draw faster!"
Jazmin complained weakly, "Dominik, I really don't have any strength left!"
"Hurry up!" Dominik shouted. At the same time, his arm that was cutting the water obviously sped up.
Noticing his strangeness, Jazmin asked, "What's wrong?"
As she spoke, she followed Dominik's gaze and looked back.
The shark fins exposed on the sea surface were very eye-catching. She saw them at a glance.
Jazmin's face changed greatly. She subconsciously widened her eyes and said, "That's... there are sharks!"
"Hurry up! Hurry up!" Dominik didn't have time to talk nonsense. He tried his best to speed up the water.
Knowing that sharks were coming after her, Jazmin's hair stood on end. Her scalp was numb and her blood was cold. She released her hand and tried her best to draw water.
Even though Dominik and Jazmin had tried their best, the shark was still getting closer to them.
He hastily drew a line for a while. Although the land ahead was getting closer, Jazmin was so tired that she couldn't exert any strength. She couldn't even float on the surface of the sea with her hands firmly holding the edge of the wooden board.
She knew very well that for Dominik, she was a burden.
Jazmin sobbed and said, "Dominik, don't leave me behind! Save me!"
Dominik said anxiously, "I didn't leave you behind. Hold on!"
Jazmin sobbed and said, "I have no strength..."
In such a short time, the shark fins floating on the sea surface were less than ten meters away from them.
Dominik understood that it was impossible to get rid of this shark.
He changed his mind quickly, pulled the wooden board out of Jazmin's hand, and raised it high.
Losing the wooden board to rely on, Jazmin exclaimed and sank straight into the sea.
Her eyes were filled with horror and disbelief.
She was Dominik's classmate, a senior student of medicine in Nantwich. This time, the school organized more than a hundred people to go on a trip to Paris. Both of them were among them.
Dominik was a part-time student. He was transferred to his class in his third year.
In school, the relationship between Jazmin and Dominik was not familiar, but they were classmates after all. Jazmin did not expect that Dominik would hurt her like this at the moment of life and death, and use her to block the sharks.
Seeing that Jazmin had sunk into the sea, Dominik took a deep breath. He lowered his head and sank into the water.
He opened his eyes wide to check his surroundings.
He could clearly see that Jazmin was constantly sinking. Her hands and feet were constantly jumping and her mouth was open, as if she wanted to shout, but there was only a series of bubbles coming out of her mouth.
He glanced at Jazmin and saw a shark swimming toward him from behind.
Black and white met each other, and the shark was huge. Its two black eyes were like two black holes. Its mouth was full of sawteeth, which were sharp and shocking.
It was a tiger shark!
Dominik immediately determined the species of sharks.
Among the shark species, the tiger shark was fierce and aggressive.
This tiger shark went straight for Jazmin. Jazmin saw it, so did Dominik.
Looking at the shark's gaping mouth, Jazmin's eyes were filled with despair.
Not to mention that she had no strength now, even if she had the strength, she would not be able to fight back in front of the tiger shark.
Just as Jazmin was in deep despair, Dominik suddenly made an unexpected move.
He held the wooden board high with one hand and let it rise to the surface of the sea. He put the other hand near his mouth and bit a small hole with his teeth.
In an instant, blood flowed out.
The shark was extremely sensitive to blood. Even if a drop of blood fell into the sea, the shark several kilometers away could smell it.
Dominik's blood immediately attracted tiger shark's attention. tiger shark gave up Jazmin and ran straight to Dominik.
The tiger shark opened its bloody mouth and instantly swam to Dominik.
Dominik's reaction was very fast. He shifted his body in the water and dodged the tiger shark's attack.
When the tiger shark was about to swim past him, Dominik slammed the wooden board that was held high above the sea.
The cut of the wooden board fell down and hit the tiger shark in the cheek. The cut of the wooden board was full of sawteeth, which pierced through the skin and flesh of the tiger shark's cheek. Instantly, blood flowed out.
The cheek was the vital part of the shark. To be more exact, the vital part of all the fish was the cheek. Once this part was seriously injured, it would be fatal.
The damage to the tiger shark's cheek aroused her ferocity. First, it swam some distance away. Then, it turned around and dashed towards Dominik at an even faster speed.
Dominik held the wooden board with both hands and used all his strength to break it. The wooden board was broken into two halves from the middle. Dominik held the closely closed wooden board tightly and stabbed at the tiger shark's eyes.
The sharp edge at the end of the wooden board hit the left eye of the tiger shark. Due to its fast speed and strong inertia, the tiger shark was unable to catch sight of half of the wooden board.
This was the most deadly blow to the tiger shark. The beast's body boiled a few times in the sea, and then it drew a long red line and sank to the bottom of the sea.
Dominik had no time to check if it was dead or alive. He emerged from the water, took a deep breath, and then sank again.
He swam quickly to Jazmin, who was already in a semi-conscious state.
Dominik's approach made her clutch Dominik's clothes tightly as if she was grabbing a life-saving straw. He wrapped his arms around Jazmin's waist and pressed his lips against hers. He used the tip of his tongue to push open her teeth and then passed the oxygen in his mouth to her.
