I woke up to my spacious room, the bright light braced my eyes drawing me to an awareness that it was morning, and sitting on the bed, I used my hand to cover my a yawn that escaped my mouth.
The fresh April breeze perused my tanned skin and curled my scattered hair, informing me that I left the window open last night.
How wouldn't I forget when the last words that sprayed my mind last night were the famous name I couldn't deal without, Alexander Hanks. Oh! sweet heavens, I slept with his name on my lips, and here am I thinking about him all through. The moment I saw him at the company a week ago after I received the job from Hanks Electronics Company
H.E.C
at first, I doubted if he was the one, but on second thought, I knew it was him.
I saved his life twelve years ago when his uncle planned to kill him, but that was all, can't remember anything else.
Still thinking about Alexander Hanks, I heard a knock on my door, I didn't know who it was, but when Aunty Melissa's voice penetrated my ears, I knew I was in deep trouble.
"Kelly? are you awake and did you forget to set your alarm? come on lady, you are going to be late for work," she blurted out.
At the mention of work, my eyes widened, I am not supposed to be late for work.
"No! no! no! I am late for work," I exploded swirling out of the bed while grabbing the little clock sitting comfortably beside my bed stand.
It says 7:50 a.m. I have ten minutes before arriving at work, and it is a fifteen minutes drive from home.
Peeling my clothes from my body, I placed them in the washbasin before entering the bathroom.
Combing my straight blonde hair, I admired my blue eyes in the mirror. I barely have two minutes before I will be termed as late. As a freshman in the company, I tried my best not to be late, but I don't always get I know why I don't hear my alarm ringing. Well, it is obvious, Jennifer Harper, my silly cousin can only be the one doing such a thing.
I don't blame her, the only person I blame is her father for blaming her, and myself for not standing my grounds up to her__ it doesn't matter now, I am doomed to remain like this forever, besides I am grateful to her mom, Aunt Melissa agreed to take me in after my parents passed away in that ghastly motor accident years ago.
Today, my outfit was a simple but beautiful grey skirt with plaits at the bottom. I paired it with a baby blue shirt which accentuated my beauty. My clothes produced my curves which were designed at the perfect place. My plum chest, flat stomach, and curvy hips were something Jenifer didn't have for sure. She just went flat from head to toe with ugly behavior.
Entering my little ugly car, I left for work.

"Miss Kelly Hepburn, I dare you to stand where you are," a thick baritone pressed on, causing me to stand at attention.
Entering the massive Hanks Electronic Company today, I didn't notice anyone had spotted me since everyone was busy with their stuff.
The enterprise was on a ten-story building, the structure was massive and indicated wealth, every thick and thin was well positioned, but that wasn't my concern, my major problem is that I am being caught.
I found it difficult to gulp as I knew who the voice belonged to, Mr. Austin Smith. He is the supervisor of the enterprise and had noticed me lately. I do my job perfectly well, but apart from that, I always come late. This is all Jennifer's fault, she ruins my alarm whenever I am asleep.
Mr. Smith finally met me and stood in front of me, my eyes were searching the floor as he accused me,
"You, it has been two weeks you've been working here, can you tell me how many times you have been to work early?" he asked aggressively.
Instantly, a good number of people started gaining interest in what was happening. My fair cheeks burned with humiliation, and tears stung the back of my eyes. I was there, and yet I wasn't, and as I avoided his eyes, it was even the worst-case since he saw it as disrespect.
"Answer me, how many times have you been to work early?" he blurted out.
His deep voice caused me to jump in fright allowing my back to fall on the ground, scattering my things everywhere.
Opening my mouth to speak, I was silenced by a deep voice that penetrated my ears.
"Mr. Smith, may I know what is happening here?" I heard the voice ask.
Lifting my head towards the direction it had come from, I was shocked to see Alexander Hanks standing at the bottom of the stairs glaring at the commotion piling up already.
Mr. Smith was swift in responding. "This lady, she always comes late to work," he spat disdainfully.
"And also, I noticed her performance at work too, she does so well, aren't you Kelly Hepburn, one of the new recruiters?" he shot asking me the question.
My mouth dropped open, and as I opened my mouth to talk, I saw Jenifer standing at the other end of the hall smirking at me. Instantly, I knew this is all her plan, she sold me to Mr. Smith, but she became angry when she saw Alexander talking to me__ I guess that was not part of her sketch.
"Yes, I am," I murmured.
Alexander nodded once, his dark brown hair was straight, and arrived at his nape, he looked strikingly handsome.
Clearing his throat, he gave verbal notice to his staff,
"What are you all looking at instead of working? now, you all should return to work, and you Mr. Smith, let the young girl have a minute or two to herself, she works so hard and her output is visible," he shot.
Several questions shot my mind, I felt like Alexander Hanks had been stalking me.
"Yes, Sir," Mr. Smith said before walking away.
