Scrolling nonchalantly down my Facebook feed, I yawn lazily. I was about to close up when I noticed something that looked very familiar.
My picture.
Panic settled into my heart as I stare at the teenager before me. My whole body gets hot and before I know tears spring to my eyes as I read the disgusting comments.
The account was fake but the only person I sent it to was my boyfriend.
I shut the laptop hard before sprinting up and pacing the room.
This cannot be happening.
Not to me!
Why me!
Breathing heavily I call my boyfriend well, ex—boyfriend Grayson.
"Hey, ba—"
"Don't you dare hey babe me!" I whisper yelled. "I trusted you, Grayson. You don't know how much courage it took for me to send that picture and then you just post it like its nothing!"
I was sobbing and the other end was frantic.
"I didn't post the picture! I— I sent it to some of the guys and I guess one of them—"
Did he send it to some of the guys?
"What am I to you, Grayson! A little prostitute you think you can just send her pictures to everyone. I'm your girlfriend! You're the only one that should be seeing such things.
"Did she find out?" A voice sniggers from behind and I feel my head vibrate with pain, ready to lash out and Grayson's friend, Theodore.
"You stupid little boy! Its immature people like you who ruin lives! Have you never seen a girl in her underwear before you just had to post it, Theodore? You're disgusting, a pig, no wonder everyone just likes you because of your money. Pathetic." I yell at him before hanging up.
But in reality, I ruined my own life by sending that picture.
And for the next three years, I had to live with the constant shame and reminder as the students and teachers refused to let it go, my family disowned me so I lived with my aunt and I dumped Grayson as fast as I could.
4 years later I moved away for college, studying a little bit of law and sociology.
What I didn't expect...Was for a certain someone to come and change my life. For better...Or for worse.
