Emma's P.O.V:

"That was the worst class in the history of classes worldwide," Amy said as we sat at our usual table with our lunch.

"Oh come one, it wasn't that bad," I tried to lighten the mood.

"You just told me you slept through the whole thing," she pointed out.

"Okay fine, that bad. But you had it worse," I chuckled and screwed the cap off my bottle of water.

"No, I did not. It's called valuing my brain cells," she clarified and I almost choked on my water, bursting out in laughter.

"It is called completely ignoring the teacher, " I choked out mid-laughter, "you literally had your head on the desk, completely passed out," I added and she joined in the laughter.

"He could have cared less though, I'm sure he saw me but just ignored me," she smiled at her hamburger and I couldn't fight the smile that drew itself on my face.

Amy, even though more rebellious these days, was still the same Amy that I met three years ago when I moved here; a huge food addict, if there's even such a thing.

She was plump, of a huge personality and a bigger appetite. Her face was spotless and healthy. Some may call her fat, but in reality, she is very healthy. She was just an inch taller than me making her five feet and three inches tall.

Her brown hair highlighted her hazel eyes beautifully, making both her hair and eyes some of her most beautiful features. She loved smiling. Her teeth were a little crooked because she inherited that from her mother, thus the braces on the inner side of her teeth.

She told me she would take them out this summer and from then on, she would just use retainers every night for twelve months.

Her short chubby fingers wrapped around the burger, her eyes shining with excitement.

"So, what are you wearing to that fund-raising dance tomorrow night?" she asked then took a longing bite out of her burger.

"I don't really want to go. It is really overrated if you ask me," I said and she started incessantly shaking her head as soon as I said the word 'don't'. She swallowed before uttering a word.

"So, the conclusion is you haven't bought a dress," she stared at the burger and I took a bite out my apple, "yet," she finished and my jaws froze in place.

"I am not buying a dress Amy, I'm not going," I said and continued eating my food. She just shrugged and picked up her phone while eating.

"Go through these ones," she showed me the screen of her phone.

My eye brows knotted in confusion but I nonetheless took a look.

I scrolled, and scrolled, and scrolled, and... "When did you take all these screenshots???" I always knew that she was a tech guru, but this just took it to a whole new level.

There had to be at least one hundred and ten different screenshots there.

"Uhmmm... just now?" she said like it was so obvious.

"You've got to be kidding me," I exclaimed and tried to think how that was possible, but my head just failed to wrap around that.

"I tried teaching you how last week, but you said you were too busy studying," she shrugged and took the last bite of her bugger.

Yes, this is not the first time it has happened.

"Don't you dare pin this on my studying," I gave, or at least tried to give her the stink eye, but judging by the way she laughed and almost choked on her water, I had failed. Hard.

"Just don't, Emmie," she continued laughing and I crossed my arms over my chest, giving her a fake pout of my lower lip.

"Awww, baby wanna cry?" she teased and laughed harder. At this point I was just smiling at her.

"I hate you," I smiled at her and she wiped the tears that had collected at the outer corners of her eyes from laughing too hard.

"I love you too Emmie," she sipped her water and I handed her phone.

"I still don't want to go to that dance," I uttered and she gave me a look of disapproval.

"What do you think Dan will be doing? Do you expect him to stay home or go out somewhere else with you?" she asked in disbelief, surprising me in the process.

"Why wouldn't he? He is my boyfriend after all," I said but before she could respond, her phone buzzed with a text.

She checked her phone and a huge smile drew itself on her face. It's been happening the past few days, she would get a text in the middle of lunch, smile at it, then leave the cafeteria without telling me why.

"Let me guess, you have to go," I stated more than asked and she started packing up her stuff.

"Yeah, so sorry sweetheart, but it's really important," she said and gave me the puppy dog eyes.

"Okay fine, I'll see you in the evening," I gave her the go-ahead to leave me in the middle of lunch, yet again.

"I love you, you're the best," she gushed and threw her arms around me.

"Yeah, I know. Now go before I keep you here with more of my awesomeness," I chuckled and she kissed my cheek before turning around and started walking away.

My eyes escorted her as she walked to the trash can to throw her left overs away, then to the cafeteria door, where she disappeared.

After a while of just sitting there and nibbling at my lunch, I sent her a text saying that I missed her already.

I walked out of the cafeteria and headed to my locker just before the bell rang, indicating the end of lunch.

Amy and I didn't have any classes together in the afternoon.

She never texted back.

The lessons were finally over and I was headed to the football field where I usually met Dan before his practice.

The field was still empty and I went to the place we usually met; under the bleachers.

Yes, as cliché it might sound, that is where we usually meet.

"Dan?" I called out. No response.

He was nowhere to be seen.

Something told me to see if he was under the bleachers on the opposite side of the field. I checked around and almost stopped when I heard soft moaning.

That was obviously a couple making out.

I smirked and thought this is our next gossip topic with Amy.

I walked closer and peeped my head round the corner. My phone was ready with the camera app open and thumb over the record button.
