At Jiangzhou Medical College, atop the experimental building in the northern campus.

Jiang Tian lays on the roof, his eyes fixated on the starless sky. He curses to the heavens, "Even you enjoy tormenting me, don't you?"

The mere thought of the day's events had him itching to raise his middle finger. However, recalling the painful lightning strike from just fifteen minutes ago, he chickens out.

Jiang Tian, a third-year student at Jiangzhou Medical College, is known as a kind and honest individual. In his class, he is considered something of an invisible presence.

The reason for his partial invisibility lies in his girlfriend, Han Xin, who is remarkably attractive. Considering Jiang Tian's 'average Joe' status, he was unlikely to secure a girlfriend as academically accomplished and physically appealing as Han Xin.

Once, Han Xin encountered some trouble, Jiang Tian assisted her, and they gradually got to know each other better. As most college students were in relationships, somehow, Han Xin began to have eyes for Jiang Tian.

As the saying goes, 'for a man, pursuing a woman is as challenging as crossing a mountain, but for a woman to chase a man, it's like ripping through a veil.' With Han Xin's notable attributes, Jiang Tian wasted no time accepting her advances.

And so, Jiang Tian, initially an invisible man, logically became partially visible. Once Han Xin is mentioned, people would instantaneously recall her poor, unremarkable boyfriend, Jiang Tian.

Many whispered, doubting that their relationship would ever last. Even Jiang Tian's roommates shared the sentiment, believing that Han Xin's interest stemmed from the novelty and curiosity, a belief Jiang Tian, smitten with love, chose not to entertain.

Today was meant to mark Jiang Tian and Han Xin's six months anniversary, but instead, he got dumped!

It would be more appropriate to say I was dumped rather than we broke up!

Jiang Tian spent a lot of effort to give Han Xin a surprise, prepared props such as flowers and candles, and finally used the money saved from frugality to buy a new Huawei phone for her.

Because Han Xin had once said that her phone was almost done for, and she wanted to get a better one.

Just an hour before, a well-dressed Han Xin came.

Just as Jiang Tian was about to give her this new phone, Han Xin said she needed to use the toilet, so she let Jiang Tian hold her bag and phone.

Jiang Tian didn't expect that life was about to play a huge joke on him.

Han Xin's phone rang and a WeChat message popped up on the screen.

"Baby, I miss you, where are you?"

Upon seeing this message, Jiang Tian didn't mind at first. He really liked Han Xin and cherished her. He also believed it was not easy for them to be together. The message might be from her parents or roommates.

After about half a minute, the second message came.

"Baby, didn't you say you were waiting for me on the rooftop? I'm here."

When Jiang Tian saw the second message, he became a little unsettled.

Then the third message came.

"Hehe, you kissed me last time, now it's my turn. Oh, yes, your boyfriend hasn't touched you yet, right?"

Upon seeing this message, all Jiang Tian could feel was the world spinning around him.

The glaring information drove Jiang Tian beyond composure. Subconsciously, he unlocked Han Xin's phone.

After opening WeChat, the man sending flirtatious messages to Han Xin, turned out to be Yan Xuequn from third class. He was a rich second-generation and a good student.

With a sullen look, Jiang Tian scrolled through the exchange between the two. The more he read, the angrier he became.

Han Xin and Yan Xuequn had been together for at least two months.

And he, like a fool, knew nothing and held Han Xin in the palm of his hand.

What was even more absurd was that his kindness towards Han Xin was seen as disgusting by her.

Han Xin and Yan Xuequn said, "Jiang Tian is like a loyal dog, whatever I want him to do, he would gladly follow."

Jiang Tian was infuriated to the extreme. His heartfelt affection was despised by Han Xin.

Every time he and Han Xin were about to get intimate, she would play the innocent and tell Jiang Tian that she wanted to save it all for their wedding day!

But what was the reality?

While they were still boyfriend and girlfriend, she had been involved with Yan Xuequn and they had done all kinds of things, both what they should and should not have done.

Was this the woman he had loved for half a year?

Han Xin, who had just returned from the restroom, did not notice any change in Jiang Tian's face and continued her act.

When Jiang Tian confronted her, Han Xin tried to argue, but unfortunately, Yan Xuequn arrived at the rooftop at that moment.

Han Xin knew that she could not pretend any longer. Anyway, she was already tired of this poor man.

She was with him out of curiosity and novelty. How could a guy like him, poor and with no prospects, neither handsome nor good in academics, be her type?

Han Xin went on to say that the reason she didn't break up earlier was merely because she needed a little errand boy!

Just like that, Jiang Tian was not only dumped but also brutally humiliated.

Jiang Tian, who had never been in a relationship before, felt his heart shattering into pieces. Holding his new cell phone on the rooftop, he even thought about jumping off.

He thought his life was over, that he had nothing left.

However, at that very moment, a bolt of lightning suddenly cleft through the sky, and then he fell to the ground. His new phone lit up with a strange twinkle from the WeChat application.

When he awoke, he found himself in the same position where he was dazedly staring at the sky.

Jiang Tian sat up, full of resentment. He was still clutching the gift he wanted to give Han Xin, his heart felt frighteningly cold.

"Ding-a-ling!"

Jiang Tian reached out and grabbed his old phone that was previously mixed with various small celebration props. It was his roommate, Chen Fan.

"Little Tian, where are you?"

"What's wrong?" Jiang Tian felt extremely gloomy and irritable.

"Right now, the university's bar and forum are full of news about you." Chen Fan said in a concerned tone.

Jiang Tian quickly stood up, and frowned, asking, "What about me?"

"It’s about you hooking up with some socialite woman behind Han Xin, they say you stole fifteen hundred yuan from her, the post is now pinned, and there are already thousands of replies." Chen Fan said all at once.

Hearing these words, Jiang Tian only felt his head buzzing.

Han Xin, you're so cruel!

Even though you were the one who betrayed me, you still have the audacity to discredit me?

The fingers Jiang Tian used to grip the phone had turned somewhat pale, and the rage inside of him surged up like a blazing inferno.

"Little Tian, Little Tian? Are you okay? Don't scare your brother."

"I'm fine, I'll be right back."

Jiang Tian hung up the phone, his face was terrifyingly somber.

Thinking about how he almost jumped off a building for this kind of woman, Jiang Tian angrily slapped himself.

When Jiang Tian returned to dorm 111, he found only Chen Fan was there, the other two were not.

At one glance, Chen Fan could guess what might have happened by looking at Jiang Tian's face.

"The world is full of beauties!" Chen Fan gave a pat on Jiang Tian's shoulder, unwillingly put a package of spicy strips from his desk on his, "As a brother, I am giving you my most precious treasure. Don't be sad."

"……"

Jiang Tian's mouth twitched a little, then forcefully unwrapped Chen Fan's tightly clenched fingers.

The fact that Chen Fan was willing to give away his life-long beloved spicy strips showed that he really considered Jiang Tian as a brother!

"I'm fine." Jiang Tian took a deep breath, "You guys are right, life is full of ups and downs."

Chen Fan took a reluctant glance at the spicy snack again, then nodded.

He knew that Jiang Tian was a person with his own opinions. As long as he's not fixated on life and death now, it means he won't do anything foolish.

Unpacking his newly bought phone, Jiang Tian exclaimed, "I have never used a phone that costs four or five thousand yuan before, so let's consider this as a reward for my heartbreak.”

He transferred the stuff from his old phone to the new one, and Jiang Tian successfully logged onto his various app accounts.

It was after logging onto WeChat that he found the interface slightly different.

"Huh? Has WeChat been updated again?" Jiang Tian clicked on it without a second thought.

A very strange chat group popped up. Upon seeing the content inside, Jiang Tian was startled, his hand trembling in surprise...
