"I knew you never liked him so stop the pretence "I said and I heard her groan "okay do your mind but don't ever come to me crying "she said and I immediately hanged up. Well she's already getting annoying, she's my bestie and I understand she wants the best for me but this her hatred for Joel is beyond normal.

Joel and I have been dating for three years now and we never crossed the line. And today being our third anniversary, I decided to give him a special gift which am was my virginity. I had made my mind up or so I thought. Although I was scared but he deserved it. He has been the best ever since we met.Am good with him and no one else. Apart from Mira, he's my only family.

Really the novel is tragedy but I can't just stop loving it. Like the first time I read it you won't believe I cried. It's so exciting. I dropped my hair and checked myself out in the mirror again before leaving the house.

I took a cab and went to Joel's house. When I got to his apartment, I knocked severely but no one opened then I was puzzled. He's supposed to be home by now,its 6pm so why is he not in. I took my phone to call in and heard it ring from the living room. Then I took the initiative that he was sleeping. What a cute boy ,he must have been stressed from work.

I pushed the door and to my surprise, it opened. I would brick on him surely. How could he leave the door open when he wants to sleep. I entered full and the room was quiet messy but something caught my attention. It was a female underwear,and the rough couch,at first I didn't want to think of what was coming to my mind and I walked towards his room but I got a shocker. I met Joel fast asleep on the bed with a woman wrapped around in. Their half naked body said it all.

At that moment I couldn't breathe, the only word that slipped from my tongue was his name. Joel I called and he stirred from his sleep and immediately he caught a glimpse of me and stood up immediately. "Chloe"he called but I turned and did what came to my mind. I dashed out without looking back.

He had wore a shirt and followed me but I made sure to hide. When he finally lost me ,I went to rhe nearest subway station waiting there. I stood there for some time and when the traffic light finally on red,i walked along with other pedestrians. I was not moving, i couldn't even move.

Before I could know what was happening, a car was coming fast paced. I suddenly didn't know what to do,I was confused and absolutely off before I could make any move, i heard a thud and distant voices and everything went blank.

I opened my eye and everything was blur. I closed my eye and opened it again, squinting I and my vision was finally clear. The image of what happened earlier played back and i hissed. Then I noticed something. Instead of being welcome by horrible smell of medicine, I smelt a faint smell if rose and smoke.I closed my eye to think but it didn't make any sense.

Instead of the usual white room, it was a room painted gold with different carving and i also noticed the res velvet curtain. What on earth was happening. I stood and I didn't feel any pain and I concluded that I must be in a dream world. I walked towards a mirror and couldn't recognise myself. How did I get dressed in a black croset dress that flowed. Even my face i couldn't identify it. It was like a surgery has been performed on me.

I was elegantly dressed and my shot hair was longer and richly curled. What is happening. How can I grow hair over night. Then a detail caught my attention. It was a particularly hair pin that wa on my hair. The carving on it was unique and could only belong to someone. Lady Madelyn, the wife of Duke Adrian.

I chuckled. This doesn't make any sense i couldn’t be trapped in someone else's body. It's only in novel that such exist. I was still suffering from the shock when someone walked in. It was Lady Madelyn's nurse,Isabella. She came in properly and bowed.

"Lady Madelyn ,Lord Adrian asks for your presence in the Royal Court room."she says and I gasped but hide it. I know thos scene so well. This was the scene where Lady Madelyn made a mess that added to the mess that caused her death.

I discharged her and took slow tides to rhe royal courth room. I knew the route well. It was detailed in the novel so I could get there without anyone's help. When I arrived the royal nobles could only greet.

Greetings that carried fake coutsey they where waiting for Lady Mardelyn to act as usual but instead I threw them a smile which threw them off their feet. In the middle of the grand hall was Duke Adrian, the one meant to end me. He stood tall composed. His eyes where cold and empty of emotions. How could he be so perfect. He looked better than I could have imagined him.

I know exactly what will happen here. Duke Adrian questioned her behaviour earlier today. Mentioning this he plans to diminish her reputation in front of the nobles and her replies agitated him creating more tension between them but I could equally avoid such end.

"Am sorry my Lord and I promise to take responsibility since my behaviour agitated you, I would make amends "I replied when he questioned me and I couldn't miss the shock look on his face even the nobles never expected this.

This was my first escape, a little victory. With this reply, I was able to ended and he continued with the meeting we came here for and when we ended, everyone dispersed one by one. Adrian didn't leave, he moved closer instead and stood close enough with his head bent to my ear.

"Watch yourself Lady Mardelyn,I don't tolerate disobedience " he said icily and left. My heartbeat trippled. It was at this time that I realised I might be unable to change this story or avoid death.
