There I was handcuffed to the bed, my p***y stretched out, every bit of juice dripping out of me, like a water park, my legs trembling so bad they could barely hold me. Every muscle in my body felt exhausted, like I had just been struck by lightning, my eyes watered, overwhelmed by the intensity of the moment

My dignity?? Down the drain.

Apparently, this was one of the things I had to sacrifice to become the best detective or so I thought

A dim red light stained the room in crimson shadows. Silence filled the air, broken only by my pounding heart, my shaky breaths, and my soft moans.

I looked across the room and saw his sweaty, muscular brown skinned body as he reached into the drawer for something. His broad shoulders, hard chest, and defined muscles sweating under the dim red light, I couldn't stop staring. There was something dangerously captivating about the way he moved, and it sent a warm rush through me, this turned me on real bad.

He brought out something that looked like a rose, it was a vibrator, I twitched, reflexively trying to pull my hands free from the cuffs.

Are you scared? He asked.

No, I said, almost in a whisper

He could see the fear in my eyes, but I played it cool. This man has an unexplainable effect on me.

Hold still mama, I need you to take all of these.

He reached out to my p***y playing with my cl*t with one finger and the other was holding the rose, I let out a soft moan.

He turned on the rose, for some reason, the vibrating sound of the rose and his intense gaze made me shiver.

Upon seeing that he let out an evil smirk and that made me realize just how doomed I was.

He gently placed the rose on my clitoris, I felt every bit of the vibration in my body.

I grabbed the sheets, whimpered and begged him to stop.

Look into my eyes and tell me you really want me to stop, he said.

"Niklaus" pl..please, I struggled to say.

I don't like when you beg, I want you to be a good girl and take all of me.

His low, husky voice sounds effortlessly seductive.

He removed the vibrator and tossed it aside, then he stuck his finger inside me and I squirmed beneath him, unable to keep my body still.

He kissed me while my eyes remained closed, I tried to steady myself, but it only made everything more intense. I could still feel every lingering sensation, every touch, even with my eyes shut.

Then, unexpectedly, I heard the faint click of the cuffs.

My eyes opened.

He had uncuffed me.

For a moment, I simply stared at my hands, slowly flexing my fingers as if I couldn't believe they were finally free.

Why did he remove the cuffs?

The question echoed through my mind.

I looked at him, searching his face for an answer, but nothing came.

How did I even get here?

How was I letting myself feel this way about him?

He was the man I was supposed to be investigating. The man I was supposed to stay away from, observe, and uncover.

Not the man who could make me forget, even for a moment, why I had come in the first place.

I swallowed hard, staring at him as a troubling realization settled in my mind.

Something was changing.

And I wasn't sure I could stop it.

Four weeks ago, I never would have imagined that I'd be in bed with Niklaus Volkov, the very man I was supposed to be investigating.

FOUR WEEKS EARLIER....

It was a normal, sunny Monday.I wore a pair of denim jeans and a blue shirt as I headed to work like I always did.

The moment I stepped into the department, something felt different.

My colleagues kept giving me strange looks. Some whispered among themselves while others looked away, whenever I caught them staring.

I noticed it but I decided not to let it bother me. I had more important things to do and honestly I didn't care what they were talking about.

I had barely settled into my seat, when Norman, my best friend at work, walked over.

"Lynx".

I looked up from my desk."What?"

You really haven't heard?

Heard what? I asked, already getting annoyed with the look on his face.

He pulled the chair beside me and sat down.

"Captain Daniel Brook is giving you the case"

I frowned. What case?

THE VOLKOV CASE

I stared at him for a moment. You're joking.

I wish I was.

I leaned back in my chair. Why would he give that to me?

Norman laughed softly.

Maybe because he knows you're the best detective in the department.

I rolled my eyes. Don't start, I said.

I'm serious. He leaned closer.

Everyone has been fighting to get this case, and somehow, Captain Brook picked you.

I looked around the department. Suddenly, all those strange looks made sense.

So that's why everyone has been staring at me?

Norman nodded. Exactly.

I sighed and looked back at my desk.

Well, I muttered, I guess my Monday just got interesting.

A few minutes later, an email notification popped up on my screen.

TO: DETECTIVE LYNX VALE

SUBJECT: OFFICIAL CASE ASSIGNMENT

I opened it.

I was instructed to report to the Head of Department at exactly 12 p.m. for a meeting concerning my new assignment. The email also stated that I would be allowed to choose one partner to work with on the case.

Only two names were listed.

Norman Vans.

Ella rosè

I picked Norman without even thinking twice, I mean, it's Norman, my very smart and trustworthy friend.

Ella, on the other hand, was good at her job, but we had never exactly seen eye to eye.

At 12 p.m., I walked into the Head of Department's office with Norman beside me.

Captain Brook was already waiting.

Detective Vale, take a seat.

I sat down while Norman took the chair beside me.

Captain Brook slid a thick file across the desk.

“This is your new assignment.”

I opened the file.

The first thing I saw was a photograph of a man.

Niklaus Volkov.

He looked nothing like the typical criminal I had spent years chasing.

Well-dressed. Clean-cut. Confident and sharp.

The next few pages explained exactly who he was.

Niklaus Volkov was the CEO of Volkov Energy, one of the most powerful oil and gas companies in the city. He was known publicly as a successful businessman, a philanthropist, and a man who had built an impressive reputation for himself.

But behind that reputation was a much darker story.

Drug dealing, human trafficking and Illegal weapons.

And several suspicious disappearances connected to people who had crossed paths with his company.

“There's never been enough evidence to charge him,” Captain Brook explained. “We've been watching him for years, but every time we get close, the evidence disappears.”

I turned to another page.

You think he's behind all of this?

We don't think, Vale. We suspect.

I looked at his photograph again.

There was something about his eyes that made me pause.

Captain Brook continued. “Your job is simple. Find the connection. Follow the money, follow the people around him, and find something we can actually use against him.

I closed the file.

And my partner?

You choose.

I glanced at Norman.

Norman.

A small smile appeared on his face.

Knew you'd pick me.

I rolled my eyes. Don't make me regret it.

Across the room, Ella's expression changed.

Her eyes followed me as Norman and I walked out of the office.

I didn't think much of it.

I had no idea that my decision that afternoon had just created an enemy inside my own department.

And I certainly didn't know that the man whose photograph was sitting inside that file would soon become the biggest mistake of my life.
