First love: "I heard you're divorced, let's get back together." Jian Ning: "No, you're not worth it." Man from the unexpected night, Huo Sze: "What about me?" Jian Ning: "Your skills pass the test, I'll consider it." Years later, a reporter on behalf of thousands of viewers took an interview with Jian Ning: "As a divorced woman, why did you marry the perfect man, Huo Sze?" Jian Ning never imagined that her first time would take place in a car.

A luxurious vehicle, a cramped space...

She didn't know how much time had passed until the storm passed and the young man fell asleep, satisfied. Despite it being her first time, Jian Ning felt intense pain but strangely, there was no blood.

Jian Ning felt both sorrow and relief; relieved that the man she was with was not the one her heart desired. Otherwise, she would have been unable to explain the situation. The man before her was just a stranger she met at a bar during a drunken stupor, so there was no need for her to give any explanation.

As Jian Ning prepared to leave, she realized her dress was torn beyond repair. Looking up, she noticed the man's shirt still intact on his upper body despite the earlier passion.

Hesitant, Jian Ning reached out to unfasten the buttons on his shirt.

"Do you want more?" The man opened his eyes at that moment, with an unfathomable depth that was intimidating.

Startled, Jian Ning realized he had just been feigning sleep and quickly pulled her hand back. "Don't misunderstand, I'm just..." I just want to borrow your shirt.

Thinking about it, she felt even more embarrassed.

"There's a dress in the back seat." The man seemed to notice Jian Ning's embarrassment.

Turning her head to look, indeed there was a meticulously packed bag in the backseat of the car. After brief hesitation, she assembled herself and went to the backseat to change into the dress. There was no need for false modesty anymore.

The rustling sound of changing clothes was particularly clear in the silent car, and it seemed to have made the atmosphere even more ambiguous.

The dress fitted her perfectly; it was as if it had been tailor made for her. After changing, Jian Ning said, "Can I have your number so that I can return the dress later?"

"No need. It's yours." Huo Si Ze lit a cigarette, his posture was lazy yet alluring.

"This dress looks expensive, I don't want to take advantage. So please, give me your number." It was a full length evening gown that was obviously custom-made, valued at least in the six figures.

"Do you find me too impressive and want to stick with me?" Huo Sìzé turned his head, exhaling a puff of choking smoke in Jiǎn Níng's face.

"You're overthinking it. I never cling to people." Jiǎn Níng giggled out of frustration, "Besides, I don't think you're that amazing." She wouldn't tell him that today was her first time, let alone tell him that she was only triggered today, otherwise, how could she so easily give her first time to this stranger she just met?

After saying that, she didn't hesitate to open the door and get out of the car. However, in her fury, she moved too swiftly and nearly lost her balance from the pain.

At her words, the iceberg-like man in the car, his perfect face turned as black as a pot's bottom.

Jiǎn Níng walked away without looking back. Although the man was perfect in both appearance and physique, he was truly despicable.

In the end, it was nothing more than a drunken folly. Let it stop here!

Because she was wearing a high-end, slightly formal gown, Jiǎn Níng, who was already tall, seemed taller and slimmer. She attracted countless amazed looks along the way.

Jiǎn Níng kept her head low all the way, her face was flushed, and she had a sense of guilt as if she was caught in an affair.

No, no, it wasn't an affair, she had divorced yesterday.

The reason for the divorce was as timeless love fiction cliche – her husband had an affair with her best friend.

No one knew how much she had given for this marriage, but all she got in return was naked double betrayal.

...

When Jiǎn Níng returned home, her house was harmonious. Her mother-in-law, sister-in-law, husband, and best friend turned mistress were sitting around the couch chatting, cracking sunflower seeds, and watching TV.

Of course, all these people were now prefixed with "ex".

Jiǎn Níng's return immediately froze the atmosphere in the hall.

The ex-aunt sarcastically remarked, "Oh, guess who just came back dressed like a celebrity! Do you think you're walking the red carpet or something?"

The ex-mother-in-law added maliciously, "I've always said not to marry a beautiful woman. Look at her now! Immediately after the divorce, she's dressed up like this. Who's she trying to seduce?"

Slightly hypocritical, the woman who was once her best friend and later became the third woman in her marriage, Su Nian, inquired, "Ning Ning, where'd you go last night? This dress is beautiful; it must be expensive. Who bought it for you?" Each question laden with hidden implications.

Only the man on the couch, legs crossed, observing Jian Ning's extravagant return, remained silent. His lips thin and tight, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, his silence conveyed his displeasure.

Jian Ning chose to ignore them. She walked straight into the bedroom in her high heels and began packing her things.

There wasn't much to pack - just a few clothes and some important documents and cards. Everything else could be discarded.

Speaking of documents, Jian Ning suddenly realized she lost the divorce papers she received with Fu Siwen yesterday. They were most likely...left in that man's car last night.

"Where did you go last night?" A familiar voice, carrying a tinge of accusation, sounded from behind.

Without turning around, Jian Ning knew it was Fu Siwen. She didn't respond.

"Went to see him?" Fu Siwen, feeling ignored, grew angry. His voice deep and clouded with resent, "Couldn't wait to see him right after our divorce? After being with me for a year, does he still want you? Isn't he disgusted by you?"

Jian Ning paused and looked up, her gaze intense. "Don't mention him. You're not worthy."

Fu Siwen chuckled bitterly, "Indeed, I'm not. But are you?"

A pang of hurt shot through Jian Ning's heart. Having been married for a year, the man before her knew her vulnerabilities and pain points better than anyone. That's why he could strike right at her core, effortlessly ripping open old wounds, leaving them raw and unhealable.

"Yes, from the day I chose to marry you, I became unworthy, let alone last night…But I assure you, I won't ever seek him out in this lifetime." Jian Ning removed her wedding ring and flung it at Fu Siwen. She then took an even more exquisitely crafted diamond ring from her dressing table, slid it onto her index finger, and gently traced it, "I'll keep him forever in my heart."

Let the mutual hurt continue – who else doesn't know how to sharpen words into blades?

The blade goes in white, it comes out red.

Who will suffer the most in the end?

Truly, Fu Siwen's eyes are bloodshot, especially when he sees Jian Ning wearing the ring that man had given her before. The bone-devouring jealousy explodes in his chest, "Did you ever love me in our year of marriage?"

Jian Ning lightly parts her lips: "Never!"

"So even if I hadn't cheated, you would have divorced me anyway," Fu Siwen's veins bulge, "In the end, you are the cheap one, you've been seeing how many other men behind my back for who knows how long."

"Wow, you are quite adept at this victim-playing game, pure mastery, no less," Jian Ning had finished packing all her things. She picked up her suitcase, her expression indifferent: "I'm leaving."

Fu Siwen grabbed Jian Ning's wrist, "Jian Ning, you are so ruthless!" What could hurt more than indifference at the time of divorce?

"Let go." Jian Ning struggled, but could not break free.

The next second, Fu Siwen pinned her mercilessly against the wall, then breathes hot air into her ear, "We are husband and wife, after all. Can't we do something before you leave? Even if you've been 'spoiled' by him and I don't know how many times, I know that for the past year, you've been wanting me to want you. You are so cheap, and even if I find it revolting, I will satisfy you one last time!"

It would be hard for anyone to believe, but they hadn't been intimate once in their year of marriage, due to Jian Ning never taking the initiative, and because of his own hang-ups. He had a fixation for purity, and he always suspected that Jian Ning wasn't intact even before their marriage.
