PROLOGUE

Jasmine's pov

The loud noise woke me up from my sleep . what's that ?? i thought. I eavesdrop and i could hear continuous shouting, guess it was coming from the living room. It's bed time already and my parents ought to be asleep. I was about going to the living room but my sub conscience tells me something is not right, it's really absurd. As the smart teenager that i am, i quietly and gently turned the knob of the door to my room and tiptoed to the direction of the sitting room.

Don't blame me, i'm a curious freak . I looked through the small hole and what i saw shocked me

Three hefty men, all wearing mask which made it difficult to recognize them. One of the men was at the entrance of the sitting room, the other was sitting on the couch, while the last man was standing beside my parents who were on the floor.

My mom was weeping, my dad was trying to hold himself but it's obvious he's afraid of the gun pointing at him. I freeze at the spot and shivered at the scene before me.

"now, say your last prayer or request to God " the man said mockingly

"please just tell me the person that sent you to do this and i promise to pay you double of the amount he or she has offered to you " my dad said pleading.

"we don't need it, we've been working for him for years. We are LOYAL ASSASSIN. Telling you the person will be of no use cause you are gonna die straightaway.

But... in your next life, never trust too much, whether your best friend or brother"

"oh, i though as much... Chadwick how could you" my dad said sadly

"Don't trust too much" the one sitting on the couch added and with that, he pulled the trigger and shot dad, mom screamed and he turned to her and shot her too and i felt shiver run down my spine.

Tears were already flowing down my cheeks as i watched my parents lying lifelessly on the floor. I sobbed quietly.

"are you sure they are the only one in the main house ?" he asked his colleague

"i don't know, but it won't hurt if i check " he replied. I was getting scared already.

Is this how am gonna die ? I'm just fourteen !

He was walking towards the passage door where i hid when the leader of the gang called him.

"Max come here. Boss just sent me a message that we should meet him at Filbert street, he said it's urgent " he said and they rush through the door.

Immediately they left, i came out of my hiding and went to where my parents were lying. I looked at dad but he's dead and i was surprised when mom slowly opened her eyes and i quickly went to her.

"mom, let me call the ambulance and the cops" i said

"no my dear, it's too late, i can't make it"

"mom stop saying that and speak positively" i said and sniffed

"i'm glad they didn't harm you. You have to leave, they will come back for you my child. I just pray you find someone who will help you ' she said and stretched her hand to get something which seem to be under the couch and gave it to me.

"that's a recorder which contains everything you may need later on. I knew something was not always in place, i always told your dad, but he paid deaf ears" she said in a whisper

"why don't i just call the cops and get them arrested" i said with shaking voice.

"no, he's not alone and they will still come after you if you don't escape. Maybe when things get better, then you can revenge if you want, that's why you have that recorder" she said sadly and touched the locket around my neck, there's a picture of us on it. she smiled sadly and gave up the ghost.

"you'll forever be in my heart" i said in tears.

I took the recorder and was about going to my room to take some things i might need but stopped on my track when i heard deep voices coming, that was when it dawned on me and i ran away through the other door. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me.

We are really wealthy and i promise to come back for everything, greedy beings.

Unknown pov

Hahaha... I now have the documents i need and i just need few things from that dummy lawyer, maybe his signature..., well that won't be difficult all thanks to my boys.

But for stressing me, i'll still do what's on my mind. Just then max came in

"boss, we are good to go. The car is ready "

"okay

Are you wondering where we are going to ?? We are going to meet that dummy lawyer for his signature and to finalize everything since i ready got the document myself.

"we just simply need you to sign here i said for the up tenth time. He's just proving stubborn, seems ge doesn't know what i'm capable of doing. I signalled my guys to get his wife and two kids.

"they are going to die since you're proving stubborn" i said referring to his family

"please leave my family out of this" he said and signed it.

I gave my boy a "go ahead" and they proceeded in killing his wife and two daughters.

"even after signing the documents, you still took the ones i cherish the most" he said angrily

"no worries, you will join them " i said and shot him.

I get what i want !!!
