A month & two weeks earlier

I Jillian Singh looked at myself in the mirror and smiled. I looked perfect in my blue cocktail dress. I was in Miami visiting my brother Hilton. It was my parent's idea, to go to Miami for the weekend since Hilton would return with me. Eight months earlier my three years relationship ended, and even though I ended it, it still hurts because he was my first. So I party and drink a little extra. He was great but we wasnt meant for each other. He moved to Canada seven months ago. We don't keep in contact and It's better that way.

I took one last look at myself again then I left the penthouse. Hilton had mentioned a great place to get a cocktail and twenty minutes later I was there. As I entered the place I noticed him at once. Our eyes met for a second before I looked away. I found a table for two by a window and I took a seat. I noticed the place was fancy, cozy, and very breathtaking.

A waiter came and took my order. As I was glancing around our eyes met again and I froze a bit. The same gorgeous human was staring at me. Lucky for me the waiter came back with my drink. I took a deep breath as I came out of my trance.

"Your order ms"

"Thanks," I said.

"I'll come back in a bit," he said smiling at me and I nodded.

I was enjoying my second Long Island and completely ignored the vibes that he was staring at me when I heard a strange voice.

"Excuse ms"

I glanced up "yes?" With a get-lost expression.

"Boss would like you to join him at his table," he said

I looked up at the guy and realized he was straight out serious with the crap he now said.

"Tell your boss I'm not interested," I said upset.

"Ms.." he began but I cut him off

"I'm not interested," I said very sternly and he nodded before he left.

After having four margaritas, I realized I needed to let Hilton know where I am. I was looking for my cell phone in my purse.

"It's rude to turn down an invitation" I heard the sweetest voice.

I snapped my head up, needing to see the face of the voice. Everything inside of me froze. God took his time and created the most handsome human.

"Oh so you are BOSS," I said calmly while looking at him. My inside was going insanely wild for this stranger.

"Why do you refuse?" he asked.

I noticed he was studying my every move.

"Who the hell are you that I should abandon my table?" I said very sternly and I saw him smile.

"Easy tiger. What's your name?" he asked as he took a seat opposite me. His eyes never leave mines.

What the fuck I thought.

"What's your name," he asked again

"Tricia" I replied. Even though I lied I was insanely drawn to him.

"Nice to meet you, Tricia. my name is Shin" he extended his hand and I shook his.

I nodded. I saw his lips were red like cherry, his eyes were light blue, his hair blonde and his skin white like snow.

"Esti Special," he said.

"What," I asked

He just laughed and said "Don't worry. Where are you from?"

"Trinidad "

"Beautiful Island " he replied. His eyes never left me.

"Have you been there?" I asked wanting to know more about him. I did wonder if he had a girlfriend from there and I instantly got jealous. Guess he noticed.

He laughed and said "I have a very close friend living there. I will be there next month."

That news excited me. I beam at him. We heard my cell phone ring.

I smiled when I saw it was my brother.

"Hello"

"Where are you? I'm here at the hotel. Come let's watch a movie" he complained.

I smiled and said, "you are so boring".

"Hey, our parents sent you here because of me. So I will be waiting." He said

I laughed and glanced at Shin. He was staring at me jealously.

"Fine . I'll come but remember you promised to carry my shopping".I said and hang up the phone. After putting away my cell phone, I looked at Shin.

" I'm sorry but I have to go, "I said as I stood up.

I blushed when I saw him stand also."nice meeting you Shin."

It happened so fast that I didn't even have time to react. He hugged me. The moment our bodies touched, I felt a shock of desire run through my body. My ex took my virginity and yet still I never felt anything strong like this.

Damn!

He smelt great. He was very handsome and very appealing and everything about him said he was full of fun.

He let go and I took a step back. I cleared my throat.

"Nice meeting you Shin"

"Can I drop you off?" He asked and after a few seconds, I nodded.

We started up to leave when I noticed four others guys got up and were walking behind us. I tense up at once.

"Bodyguards " he whispered

I looked at him" who are you?" I asked. Normally Hilton and I have Bodyguards but not so much I thought.

"Not important at the moment," he said as he opened the back door of a black SUV for me. I watched as he slide beside me. I gave the driver the address to my hotel.

"I would love to see you again Tricia," he said staring into my eyes.

"Not possible"

"Why?"

"Because we leave in two days," I said. I watch him rest back his head and close his eyes.

"I would love to see you again. meet me tomorrow there at the same time," he said with his eyes close.

"I'm sorry I can't. He promised to carry my shopping before we leave" I said he open his eyes and our eyes met.

"I'll still be there just in case you have free time." He said and I nodded.

"Thanks for the ride," I said when we reach the hotel.

"Anytime my island lady," he said and lean over and kiss my cheek.

My heart started to beat faster. And I quickly get put the van.

I was extremely happy as I entered the penthouse. I had to beg Hilton to come to stay with me. This penthouse was way better, even though Hilton disagreed with me.

"You are finally here" Hilton greeted me.

"FINALLY," I SAID as I took a sit next to him. I saw him staring at me before he said" seems as if your evening was great"

"Yes"

"Did anything interesting?" he asked

"No just drink," I said and he smiled.

Later on, I was in the kitchen when Hilton walked in with his cell phone

"Hey I need to meet up with someone a Lil bit, do you want to go with me?" he asked slowly

"No," I said staring at him.

"Why? I want you to meet him. He's my best friend. you never want to meet anyone.!"

I laughed

"Your best friend? Hilton, I love you but ALL YOUR FRIENDS ARE BORING AND DULL."I said

He stared at me before saying "you never met him, Jill. please"

"No no. Go have fun. tell him I said hello" I said smiling

"You know you don't mean that." He said leaving the kitchen.

That night I lay on my bed, and I thought of Shin. I knew instinctively I can't lose my heart to him yet still he took my breath away.
