I, Nancy Sue, have crossed to another world and am about to give birth. I am panicked right now. What should I do? I'm in a real rush and waiting online for advice...
Looking at my protruding abdomen and my constant labor pains, Nancy Sue holds her forehead in a headache. She has just crossed over and she's in a complete muddle, how could she be mysteriously about to give birth?
"Whoosh..."
As she is perplexed, the door is forcefully opened. A maid places a bowl of hot water and a pair of scissors on the table. She glances disdainfully at Nancy Sue on the bed and coldly says, "I have no experience in delivering babies. Miss Second, you will have to do it yourself!"
Without waiting for Nancy's Sue reply, she leaves the room directly.
As soon as the door closes, Nancy Sue hears the maids actively chattering outside.
"She is clearly carrying a bastard child, possibly not even knowing who the father is. Why should I assist in her delivery? Such bad luck!"
"Isn't it? A woman who is a good-for-nothing, lost her chastity, and still hopes to become the Princess consort? Dream on! Luckily, the Prince has broken off their engagement!"
"Just because she is slightly beautiful, she flirts with men everywhere. She is shameless! If she hadn't been caught in the act with a random man by the young miss, she might have claimed that she was carrying the Emperor's child! However, the young miss is indeed kind-hearted, taking her back and caring for her. If it were me, I would rather die of a head concussion!"
Listening to the outside comments, the coldness in Nancy's sue eyes gradually deepens. Also, due to their discussions, fragments of foreign memories start to sketch in her mind.
The original character shared the same name as her, but was completely different, weak, incapable, and was a non-cultivator.
She mistook the scum Prince as a good man, unaware that he had a secret child with her own sister.
Ten months ago, her "beloved" sister, Hope Sue, drugged her and planned a hideously ugly man for her. However, the original character stumbled upon a different room, and unknowingly, there was also a man in that room!
Eventually, she couldn't resist the drug's effect, regarded the unknown man as the antidote. But no matter how Si Nan tries to recall, she can never remember the man's features. All that remains in her mind is a pair of bloody red eyes that were cold, emotionless...
"What nonsense are you saying! If you can't help, just go away!"
A strange yet familiar voice dragged Nancy Sue back from her thoughts. She raised her head, seeing a pretty-faced maiden dressed in purple walking in from outside.
Memories swirling, Nancy Sue recognized her as Ruby; they'd grown up together like sisters, and she was the only person in the Sue family that truly cared for her.
Seeing Nancy drenched with cold sweat from the pain, Ruby quickly ran over, anxiously and concernedly asked, "Miss, are you alright? You still have a few days before your due date, why are you going into labor now?"
"The main house is too unbearable, they didn't even call a midwife, how am I supposed to give birth?!"
Both of them were young girls, how could they possibly know anything about childbirth?
As Ruby was deeply puzzled and conflicted, a calm voice suddenly echoed from the bed.
"Ruby, get out."
What?!
Ruby looked at Nancy Sue in shock, "Miss, you... You're not planning to give birth by yourself, are you?"
"Get out."
Two simple words, yet delivered with undeniable authority. Ruby hesitated, then nodded and obediently withdrew.
But deep down, she felt surprised. The miss's tone was sharper than ever. Although she was frail and on the verge of collapse, Ruby felt obliged to obey her at this moment…
After Ruby left, Nancy Sue glanced at the items on the table, a faint smile flashing in her eyes. As a military doctor from the special forces, would she be stumped by childbirth?
She closed her eye, and in the blur appeared a modernized room - it seems her personal space had time-traveled with her!
It was a three-story space. The first floor was her laboratory with various medicinal material and potions, along with a large bookshelf. On it were all types of medical works and papers from renowned doctors across the globe, some were even out of print.
The second floor was filled with all kinds of weapons, ranging from melee to firearms, there were both overt and covert ones. The third floor was her own resting room, featuring a single bed, a wardrobe filled with clothes, a refrigerator stocked with her favorite snacks and pastries, and a cellphone fully charged, on the table.
She was proficient in both Americans and Western medicine, having been brought up in a military base due to her family ties, and had learned a great deal of martial arts. Coupled with the personal space she accidentally gained when she was twelve, she had made a name for herself in the military, becoming one of the world's top military doctors in just two years.
Nancy Sue took a deep breath, fetching a bottle of medicine from her personal space and swallowed it. The moment the medicine entered her mouth, she felt the abdominal pain gradually subsiding.
Perhaps it was the effect of the medicine, or maybe the child in her belly was eager to come out, with a push, an round and cool object slid out from beneath Nancy Sue .
Abruptly, instantaneously, she didn't even feel the labor pains described in the books. Had her baby already been born?!
But, could anyone tell her why the baby she just gave birth to was an...... egg!!!
She's a human being, a mammal, how could she have laid an egg?!
