简介
[Married First, Love Later + Groveling Ex-Husband + Return with Babies + Secret Genius Doctor + CEO’s Pampered Wife] Cecilia Whitmore and Vincent Fitzgerald had been married for three years, treating each other with icy politeness—he hadn’t so much as brushed a fingertip against her. In a fit of rage, she took matters into her own hands that very night, then turned and left without a backward glance. Six years later, Cecilia Whitmore stormed back with three adorable babies in tow, now the nation’s most celebrated miracle doctor. She marched straight into her ex-husband’s house—calm, composed, ready to watch the show with popcorn in hand. Vincent Fitzgerald: “Cecilia Whitmore, still hung up on me, aren’t you?” Cecilia Whitmore let out a cold laugh. “Don’t flatter yourself. My suitors are lined up all the way to the civil-affairs office. Tie myself to your tree? Dream on.” A film emperor pursued her, a chaebol fought for her, a doting lawyer spoiled her… “Ms. Whitmore, may I apply to be your children’s stepfather?” As the “stepfather candidates” grew bolder by the day, a certain someone finally lost his cool. He uprooted the entire forest, blocked the doorway with one arm, and growled through clenched teeth: “Cecilia Whitmore, you forced yourself on me that night—you’re responsible for the rest of my life!”

For three whole years of marriage, Vincent Fitzgerald had never once touched Cecilia Whitmore.

But tonight, she was done backing off. No matter what, she wanted him at least once.

She slowly took off every last piece of clothing, then dimmed the lights in the room a little more.

The man's body was burning, way hotter than normal. She threw caution to the wind and wrapped herself around him.

Her soft kiss landed on his lips. It was like a spark dropping into dry grass—everything caught fire in an instant.

He lifted a hand and locked it around her slim waist, shifting from passive to aggressive in a heartbeat, pressing forward step by step.

His fingers moved over her pale, delicate skin without the slightest mercy, stroking and kneading as if he meant to leave no room for escape.

Pain tangled with pleasure, messy and overwhelming...

And when they were finally, completely joined, she felt like her whole body had been tossed straight into the clouds.

Suspended that high, she swayed with the fierce tide of emotion, up and down, unable to steady herself...

That night, they lost control three full times.

At daybreak, Cecilia woke first. The moment she turned her head, she saw the man's striking face right beside her, and she froze for a second.

When he woke up, he would definitely be furious, right? Absolutely furious.

Still... no matter what, this was the first time, as his wife, she had ever slept by his side.

When she got out of bed, her legs were so weak they nearly gave out. Her whole body was covered in traces of last night's madness.

Enduring the soreness of that first time, she forced her exhausted body to get dressed.

Then she sat down at the desk and signed the divorce agreement.

"Cecilia Whitmore, you... you actually drugged me last night?!"

After Vincent woke up, his face turned livid with rage, and the fire in his eyes looked like it could burn straight through her.

Of course he knew the problem was that bowl of soup from last night.

"Yeah! We’ve been married for three years. No matter what, I should get something out of it, right?"

Cecilia Whitmore looked calm on the surface, but inside, she felt completely hollow.

She had loved Vincent Fitzgerald for a full ten years.

Three years ago, because of the marriage arrangement between Mr. Fitzgerald and the Whitmore family, she had hurriedly married into the Fitzgerald family.

But Vincent hated her, and not long after that, he found out she wasn’t even the Whitmores’ biological daughter. She was just a fake, carrying the label of a counterfeit heiress.

And the real heiress?

Vivienne Whitmore.

Everyone outside said this marriage was supposed to be Vivienne’s in the first place.

That Cecilia had stolen someone else’s place and snatched Vincent away.

Cecilia had never been sure whether Vincent thought the same way.

But right now, his anger was definitely real. No cap.

"Cecilia Whitmore, you’re a woman. How can you do something this shameless? Do you even have any dignity left?"

Vincent’s face was tense, jaw locked tight, his eyes practically spitting fire.

Cecilia just gave a careless little smile. "I’m shameless? If I remember right, you seemed pretty into it last night. Three times, too. Don’t tell me Mr. Fitzgerald didn’t enjoy himself?"

Vincent got hit so hard by that comeback that he couldn’t even speak for a second. Broken flashes from last night flickered through his mind.

He couldn’t remember everything clearly, but the woman’s softness, her sweetness, the way she pulled him in—it was like poison coated in honey, dangerous as hell and stupidly addictive.

Vincent’s brows pulled together even tighter, and his mood sank straight to rock bottom.

No matter what, he hated being played.

Cecilia wasn’t surprised at all seeing how dark his face had turned, black as the bottom of a pan.

Anyway, whatever she said, whatever she did, he would still hate her.

This marriage should end here.

She tucked every last bit of emotion away and said with a blank face, "I already signed the papers on the table. From now on, you go your way, I go mine."

The moment she finished speaking, Cecilia Whitmore dragged the suitcase she had packed long ago and walked out of the Fitzgerald family without looking back once.

Vincent Fitzgerald stood there in a daze for quite a while before suddenly jumping out of bed and striding to the table.

There was a Divorce Agreement lying on it.

And... three hundred dollars.

One hundred for each time. So this was... his service fee?

What the hell did that woman think he was?

Vincent Fitzgerald was so furious he was practically smoking from every pore. He threw on his clothes and rushed out at once, itching to drag that woman back and teach her a proper lesson.

Too bad, Cecilia Whitmore had already vanished without a trace.

...

Six years later.

Capital City, Fitzgerald Manor.

Mr. Fitzgerald had brought Vincent Fitzgerald, his family of three, and a whole crowd of servants to line up at the entrance of the manor. The setup was huge, full-on grand welcome mode.

It was obvious they were making a massive show of receiving an important guest.

When Vincent Fitzgerald's mother, Yvonne Hartley, saw this scene, she looked completely confused and asked, "Dad, who exactly is coming today? Why do you need to bring this many people and personally come out to greet them? Are they really that important?"

Mr. Fitzgerald's presence was overwhelming as ever, and he shot back without hesitation, "She used to be my granddaughter-in-law. Is that background big enough for you?"

Yvonne Hartley froze on the spot.

Beside her, Vincent Fitzgerald, who had been urgently called back from the company, had an obvious shift in his gaze. His dark eyes narrowed little by little.

Former granddaughter-in-law?

Don't tell him it was...

Yvonne Hartley asked again, her voice full of uncertainty, "What... exactly do you mean by that?"

Mr. Fitzgerald glanced at her and said in an even tone, "Cecilia Whitmore is back. This time, she’ll be staying at our Fitzgerald family home for a while."

The second those words landed, the three people in the Fitzgerald family all reacted differently.

"What?!"

Yvonne’s voice shot up on the spot. "Cecilia Whitmore is back? Dad, you’ve gotta be kidding, right? She’s already divorced Vincent. She’s just an orphan with no one to rely on anyway, so what is she coming back for? Our Fitzgerald family has had nothing to do with her for ages!"

Her dislike was basically written all over her face.

Anyone could see it. She genuinely couldn’t stand Cecilia, and she clearly had zero intention of welcoming her.

"I personally asked her to come back. Are you questioning my decision?"

Mr. Fitzgerald’s tone stayed calm, but the pressure in his voice was intense enough to make people’s scalps tingle. It was the kind of authority no one dared push back on.

Yvonne didn’t dare argue anymore, but her expression kept shifting, dark and unsettled.

Vincent Fitzgerald said nothing.

But those unfathomable eyes of his had already gone frighteningly dark, with a trace of violent hostility buried inside, one even he himself hadn’t fully noticed.

That woman had vanished for six years, and now she was finally back?

She actually had the nerve to come back!!!

While anger churned wildly inside him, a luxury Mercedes was speeding over from the distance.

Inside the car, Cecilia Whitmore looked out at the familiar scenery flashing past the window, and her mood was just as complicated.

She really hadn’t expected that one day she would return to this place.

This time, she had come back to the country because Mr. Fitzgerald had personally invited her to treat his illness.

The old man had offered an extremely generous medical fee.

With that money, her institute wouldn’t have to stress over funding for the next three years.

Who would say no to money?

Especially when she still had two sons to raise...

Right now, beside Cecilia Whitmore, two delicate-looking, fair-skinned little boys were plastered to the car window, staring outside with bright, eager eyes.

Her older son, Zacharias, was practically buzzing with excitement as he muttered under his breath, "A mansion this insane definitely runs on a top-tier security system, right? Wonder how long it’d take me to crack it."

Ryan, the younger one beside him, instantly jumped in, "We can test it tonight! This place is pretty awesome, especially the bodyguards at the gate. They actually look decent. Finally, some new sparring material."

The second he finished, Cecilia lightly tapped him on the forehead.

She looked both amused and helpless as she warned them, "Behave after we get back. Don’t go showing off what you can do all over the place, got it?"

Her two boys were freakishly smart, and on top of that, physically gifted too. Seriously, they were born to train.

At such a young age, they’d already been taken away by their master for special training, and now their combat skills were way beyond normal.

Last time, when she got harassed by some punk on the street, the two little troublemakers teamed up and beat the guy until his face was swollen black and blue.

Someone called the police, and the thug honestly spilled the whole story.

The officers didn’t buy a word of it. Not only that, they gave the thug a brutal scolding on the spot.

The whole thing had been way too wild. Cecilia was worried it might stir up unnecessary trouble, so she kept reminding them again and again not to expose their real abilities.

The boys quickly nodded and obediently replied, "Got it, got it. Mommy’s said it like a million times already. Keep a low profile!"

That was what they said, anyway.

But in the eyes of the two little rascals, there was already that sharp gleam of hunters locking onto prey...

They had already done their homework before coming back to the country.

The Fitzgerald family they were going to today was the family of that trash ex-husband who had dumped their mommy back then.

The two of them were fully prepared. Their plan was simple: beat that guy up first.

Then ask him straight to his face if there was something seriously wrong with his eyesight.

Their mommy was this amazing, and he still didn’t want her?

What, was he trying to date the sky or something?!
