Chapter 1: Beggining
9th day of Febuary, a little girl was born. Her name is Luna, Rebecca Luna to be exact. She has wavy dark brown hair, brown eyes, red lips, tall nose and flawless tan skin.
"Hey, sweetie" her Dad called.
"Hello Dad. How's your day?" the 7 year old Luna asked.
"Very tiring my dear but still my day is great" her Dad replied while hugging his daugther.
Luna, didn't have a chance to see her real mom. It's because she died while delivering her. Even though they have a terrible past, they still continue to live a happy and peaceful life with each other.
10 years have past.....
"Luna!" Myka called. Oh come on. What do she need now? I'm in a hurry.
"Yes?" I asked while facing her.
"Will you come with me? I need to buy a gift for my cousin's birthday tomorrow" she said with pleading eyes. Oh come on, Myka that won't be effective.
"Sorry, Myka. I have my schedule" I said while waving my hands infront me.
"Please!" she said. I can't resist her. We've been friends since 9 or 10 years. Well, I don't really remember.
"Yes, but only for an hour." I said pointing my index finger infront her. She instantly smile and immediately grab me towards her motorcycle.
I'm envy. You know why? Cause she has her own motorcycle. She is on her legal age. I only have to wait for a year to have and drive my own motorcycle but I don't think that's gonna happen.
We don't have enough money to buy one.
"Hey, are you with me?" she said in a loud voice waking my senses up.
"Well, technically I am with you because we are already standing infront of the mall" I said sarcastically and she just roll her eyeballs at me. She knows me pretty well. But do she really need to ask that question?
"Where are we heading?" I asked out of blue.
"Wow, thank goodness you are back to your senses." she said putting her index finger in my forehead.
"Where?" I asked again because she didn't answer my question.
"Uhhmm. Wait let me think" she said holding her chin. I waited for a while and she grabbed me towards a dress shop. What are we going to do here?
"Who's cousin of yours will have birthday tomorrow?" I asked while she wasbusy looking for a gift.
"Well, Olivia. The one you called Olive the last time the two of you met" she explained but I remained silent because I actually don't remember who Olivia is.
30 minutes later....
"Aren't we going out of here?" I whispered to her ear.
"Why are you in a rush?" she said and I raised one of my eyebrows at her. Good thing that she understand it that is why she raised both of her hands in a peace sign.
"I gotta go, bye" I said and immediately run towards the exit. I am really in a hurry.
Minutes later.....
"Hello," I said while panting.
"Happy birthday. I missed you" I said and tears escaped in my eyes. I tried not to cry but when I remember what happened, I put all the blame in me. It's all my fault.
"Sorry. I am really really sorry, Mom. It's all my fault." I said as I sit down in the grass near her tombstone.
"It's not your fault dear" A voice said. A voice that I pretty know well.
"If I wasn't born......She could be alive now........ If I wasn't born you two........ can live a happy life." I said between my sobs. I cried like a kid, good thing Dad is here.
"My aunts and uncles are right I am really is a bad luck for the family." I said again.
"Don't think like that sweetie" He said caressing my dark brown wavy hair.
"But Dad..." he stopped me.
"You are inoccent, Luna. The day you are born was the best day of my life eventhough it is also the day when your mom left us. Luna, my moon, I don't regret having you as my child because the Lord has a purpose for every struggle and pain we suffered" my Dad said that help me calm my mind.
I rested at his shoulder and closed my eyes. I let the air carry off my hair. Thinking what Dad had felt when Mom left him.
I know the Lord won't give this problems to us if we can't overcome it. I like the qoute that says 'Grow when things are hard' well my spiritual life will really grow if I stay connected to Him.
