Sophia's pov.

- I can't believe that I finally get to meet your best friend. It's like a new level in our relationship, when we start introducing each other to our friends... And you know... later to our family... - I smiled timidly.

Alex and I had only been together for a couple of months, but I completely lost my mind for him. Maybe because he was my first... the first man in my life, even though I'm almost 24... but he's very attentive, he's constantly showering me with flowers, gifts, taking me to restaurants, giving me trips to the spa, and he listens to me, this is very important part for me.

The last couple of weeks were stressful for him, we didn't communicate much because there were "some problems" at work, as he said. We work together, he is my boss and yes, he is older than me, 9 years older. No one knows about us at work, we behave professionally there. Actually, almost no one knows about us being together, my friends know that some guy Alex is, and just it. He said he don't want to make things complicated for me, because he is my boss and we need to wait a bit more. Today will be the first day that I will meet one of his friends, I am so excited.

Everything between us happened unexpectedly, after about half a year of my work in his company, he began to notice my work, how I managed to communicate with clients, I often stayed after work to work longer and completely professionally to do my work down to the smallest details, he would talk to me when he was leaving, then he personaly started to review the works, give advice, in the end we started talking about something else entirely and after a few more months I ended up in his bed. I don't even know how, because he is a handsome man, desired by all women, and I am a gray office mouse, a perfectionist and only seeing my work.

- maybe let's not rush like that, Luke will just stop by to pick up a few things he left behind, you'll barely have time to see him. - he simply said.

- anyway, after all, I heard so much about him from you, you said that he is like a brother to you and I can't wait to see him.

I heard a car enter the yard, I understood that it was Alex's friend. I was nervous and impatient inside, I was on the spot. Luke didn't even ring the doorbell, he just opened the front door.

I was swept away by electricity, I had never felt anything like it. His aura screamed "danger, run". Tall, with slightly tangled brown hair, a three-day beard on his face, you could see that he was going to the gym, but his body was not just muscles, he looked athletic. But what scared and excited me the most, were his eyes when our eyes met. That bright green color, the depth, the mystery… it only lasted a moment before Alex walked into the room and Luke turned his attention to him.

- Oh, you're already here. - they hugged. - how was your trip? Is everything ok with the cargo?

- yes, everything is on time and as it should be. - his voice was low and full of mystery. - is she new one? I remember last week was a br...- Luke said with a head gesture to my sight but Alex quickly stoped him from saying what he wanted to say.

- oh, where is my maners, babe, come here. - Alex said and reached his hand for me.

I came to his side, hugged Alex around the waist because I was seeking a comfort in Luke presence, when he looked at me again.

- Hi, I am Sophie. Is nice to meet you, Alex told me a lot about you. - I said in a bit shaky voice but with a smile on my lips.

Luke just lifted one brow when looking at me and then looked at Alex.

- Realy bro? - he asked.

I was dumb about what is happening, Alex just scratched his head with his hand.

- Babe, can you make me a cup of tea? I will be right away. - Alex changed the topic.

- Sure. L... Luke, maybe you want something to drink too? - I asked almost audibly.

He just looked me up and down, then looked once again in to Alex and while shaking his head just started to move to Alex office that was in the house.

I felt like I wanted to disappear the same moment. Alex just looked at me, whispering said "sorry" and went to the direction that Luke went.

I did not understand anything. I've heard so many good things about him and he... he didn't even say "hello" to me. What can I say about the fact that his look made me feel as if I had committed a crime. If Alex's friends are all like that, I don't want to know any of them...
