I am broken beyond repair.

Feeble; but I act strong.

Who am I? I am a Lee.

The cold wind blows in a distance carrying speck of dust with it. It closes with a sudden force with the car window, the glass rattles. The storm is heavy and thick with rain, I don't know how Minerva sees in it.

"Are we there yet?" I know my questions annoy her, but I'm just curious and I just love annoying her.

Her hands hit the steering wheel for the hundredth time. "No, would you please shut up!" She curses under her breath and fog appears in front of her nose and disappears.

I sigh and lean back on my seat with my arms crossed. "How will we reach there with this weather? I just wanna go home."

"You sound like a whiny bitch; and you're forgetting I have super eyes." She says like she's stating the obvious. "Duh!"

"It's called super seeing." I huff out, in annoyance.

"We will just stick to super eyes." She hums and taps against the wheel. I turn on the radio, the silence is comfortable but the darkness freaks me out and to top it all up; I don't know where we are going; that makes this unexpected, unpredictable.

You see, I like things that I can predict so if anything goes wrong, I'm good.

A few minutes later, Minerva and I are singing long to several songs playing. Our hands are on the air, Eva forgot she's driving and almost knocked off a mail box. We burst out laughing after that.

She sighs as she turns off the car and opens the door. "Okay we're here."

I fasten off my seatbelt and hop out after her. The fierce winds has lessened and the rain is overflowing along the way.

The rain splashes around my boot as soon as my feet touches the gravel road. My hair sways behind me as I walk. The breeze around me feels calm. It calls out to me

"There is no sun to bath in today, Lynn. We have to move if we want to stay in the hotel." I nod earnestly, her strides begin and mine follows up.

"So this is a hotel. So much for going home." I mumble behind her.

"If I told you then you would have thrown a fist." She shakes her head.

"That's not true."

I fold my hands and walk into the hotel. It is... old, antique and a lot dusty. Light dance above us, it reminds me of fireflies. Their glamorous light that entertain nature.

Behind a desk and computer is a receptionist, typing away drastically. I have been in a lot of hotels and this one is so not the bomb.

"Hello. We are looking for-"

The receptionist doesn't look up to answer us. "Second room to the left."

Eva and I share a look as we follow her instructions. As soon as she turns the knob, chaos and dust meets our eyes.

Eva sneezes and covers up her nose. "No wonder she was quick to let us in here. It's a mess." She let's out another sneeze as she swipes her hand over her face.

I inhale deeply. "Dust is natural. It cannot be avoided."

"It can't, but they should buy a mop next time." Letting out a sigh, she closes the door and slopes on a large sofa in the room. "This is dusty too. Yucky."

She an be a drama queen sometimes, too bad I caught some from her. When I open the curtain, I grimace.

"No plants in the area."

I hear Eva shift on the sofa. "Sorry L, this was the only hotel around and we got not time to search around."

"We could have slept in the car then." I scowl, glaring at the window. It happens to be the only thing I can use to release my anger.

"Nah!, if we were hijacked I wouldn't be happy and besides, the darkness creeps me out."

My lips turns upwards as I turn to her. "But the car can be hijacked now..." She shrugs in boredom. "And you can see well in the dark... unlike me." I twist my body back to the window.

"You particularly hate a starless night."

I snap my fingers. "Exactly. It's the worst."

She clicks her tongue as she shifts on the sofa. "Go to sleep L, maybe on the bed. As for me I'm living on my sofa."

"It's dusty."

"It's clean enough." She closes her eyes, hugging her tender skin. "Go to sleep L."

I sigh. The rain touches everything and everywhere. The green grass and flowers they are all soaked in rain. They need it to grow, we all do but what type of rain do I need?

Discarding all these thoughts, I shed my clothes and hop into the shower. It is not the type of rain I need but it will do.

After my shower, I get dressed into comfy clothes. Minerva is half sloped on the sofa and snoring loudly, with a smile I tuck her in and shift her to a comfortable posture.

The bed is unkept, dusty and odd. It doesn't bother me as I flop on it, wrapping myself in dust. It is nature, I believe when we die we turn to dust and when we sleep a bit of dust falls off, so it shouldn't be a bother.

I shift to a comfortable part as my eyes closes up. Sleep calls me in immediately and I find myself lost in darkness, choosing what to dream about.

The earth rumbles under me and the atmosphere, stands still. I scowl. That's weird where's the wind.

As if I called it, a strong wind blows over me and pushes me far away, into darkness and more darkness.

My knees are on the earth and my fingers feel like dirt. In the night less sky a star appears... then another and another till the dark sky is filled.

Tress of different sizes, shapes and types appears by my side. The wind allows in my ears, swatting my hair away. The empty earth is now filled with green grass and it tickles my fingers. Some steps away from me, a stream appears, fireflies and other night insects dance across it. The wind brings their whispered; they are singing a song I do not know of.

Suddenly, the air fills with fear, the scene changes to nothing but darkness and a door..

I want back the wind. Where is the wind? What happened to the grasses, fireflies and trees. I want them back.

I collapse on the ground squeezing. The heaviness of fear is suffocating me.

I hear a laugh, it's far off and loud. It comes closer and closer and closer till my ears burn, I cover them with my hands but they do nothing...

It stops.

Light shines through the dark, it's small but enough so I follow it. It leads me to a little girl with a shiny blond hair and pointed ears poking out of her hair.

From where I am standing her skin looks soft. Her shoulders are shaking and she is crying. The smell is coming from her. Fear. What is she scared of?

The same loud laughter vibrates from the dark and the strange little girl stops crying. She raises her face from her knees and looks at me. She can see me??

"Hello."

"Hello" we both say the same time. Her little voice mixes with mine as she looks around. My heart swells with disappointment. She can't see me. No one can.

Again she is starting at me, but now I know she is starting behind me. Her small body begins to crumble in sobs and tears fills up her eyes.

"Who is there? Show yourself." Her voice quivers but there's a strong force in it. Her big eyes grow bigger and she tucks her knees closer to her body. She is still starting behind me. What is there?

When I twirl around to look, I freeze, my mouth betray me and I gasp but they can't hear me.

In all my dreams, I see this man, I remember his body structure, his pointed ears and big grey eyes but I cannot see his face.

He is staring at the little girl but he is also staring at me, in my eyes. He smiles, it's maniac and naughty. I shiver.

Taking a step, the darkness leaves him but it hovers around. Waiting. I feel like it can sense me. He kneels beside the little girl and her mouth turn up into a smile.

"Daddy?"

"I am right here honey, and I'm not going anywhere ever." She falls into my arms and sobs, he shushes her and rocks her.

"I was so scared."

Patting her back, he repeats what he said. "I am not leaving you Asteria, never." He is suddenly staring at me and the girl in his arms is gone. I look behind me and all I can see is darkness.

Who is he staring at?

I turn to look back at him but he's suddenly in front of me. I scream and stagger back but his hands hold me close and pull me to him. His fingers trace my cheekbone and dig into my skin.

I gasp, trying to pull away but it's no use. His eyes, they see it all. "Asteria."

I jerk up sweating and gasping, I crumple the sheets in my hands. My heart beat is high and a buzzing fills my ears. Minerva is beside me, she always wakes me up when I have a nightmare. I rock myself.

Her lips are moving and she is patting me. I don't hear her and I can't feel her hand, her touch.

It takes sometime but the buzzing ceases and I can now feel. "Lynn, Lynn. Are you okay?? All I smell is fear"

It's the same again, the same words, the same expression when I wake up from my nightmares, that I can't even remember. All I know is that I'm terrified.

I crumple her shirt as she hugs me, soothing me with words as I sob. "I can't remember. I can't remember." She rocks me back and forth.

"Shh! Don't stress yourself. I'm here, your twin sister is here with you." I sob. I remember something.

That's what the man said. My fingers wrap tightly around her in their own accord. Who is he?
