Why Try – Ariana Grande
Angels and devils ruled the city of Los Angeles, it was something everyone abided by and everyone kept secret. But no gang was quite as fearful as East Angeles. Some said the place inherited the name from the ruthless gang, others knew it did. I – I was one of those unfortunate souls that knew everything. Every secret, every true rumour and every person on a hitless.
It was frightening that a young twenty three year old student would know so much about the dark underbelly of the city. I was someone who grew up with pearls and riches, never had to worry much about money. Dad was this big producer for movies and when you mentioned anything about a gang, he would just enquire if it was a new movie he could sign on to. Mom was a home decorator, keen to use our house as a practice run every chance she got. I've lived in every style of home except normal. From woodlands to tropical safari themed. Just not normal. My siblings and I all attended private school and grew up with the idea of being better than everyone.
Well, that was up till the whole mess with him. He had revealed everything to me, revealed what REAL money was, not fancy—covered—with—diamonds—money. So long to pearl necklaces and debutant balls and welcome to guns, violence and too many devils to count.
And what do you do when stuff like this happens to you? When the blindfold is ripped from your eyes?
You lose Angeles.
Realise you and I are in the same boat
