"Natalie, this is my bank card, and the password is 131224." You can use it to buy everything you need."

Natalie was still thinking about what her new husband had said when he handed her a bank card in the morning a few hours later.

To be honest, she knew very little about her husband.

Apart from the fact that his name was Dylan Anderson, she knew nothing else about him, not even who his family members were.

Natalie had no idea how she mustered the guts to marry a man she had only met twice.

Natalie met Dylan for the first time on a blind date ten days ago, thanks to the assistance of her best friend, Alice Thayer.

She didn't have a chance. After all, she'd been hurt three years before, and she didn't have the right to be critical any longer, so she accepted her fate.

On the day of the blind date, she arrived 15 minutes early.

Because she lacked any appealing qualities, she could only improve in other areas in the hopes of making a positive impression.

She could also put her parents at ease if she could marry a suitable man.

The man arrived on time.

The man's clothing and shoes were quite formal, which provided her a good first impression of him and made her realize how important he considered this blind date.

His manner of greeting was also quite typical. "Hello, Miss Natalie Parker! My name is Dylan Anderson."

It was a simple sentence, but because his voice was so captivating, Natalie felt exceptionally nice and had a better image of the man than she had previously.

They exchanged phone numbers and left after a brief conversation.

Natalie didn't take this blind date seriously because she'd been on so many before.

She expected this blind date to go the same way as the others.

Two days later, she received an unexpected phone call from Dylan.

"Miss Natalie, are you available tonight?" he asked politely.

Dylan invited her to dinner at an Italian restaurant that night.

Natalie disliked the awkwardness of a blind date. They didn't say much in the meal. She was a little apprehensive during the dinner, so she didn't eat much.

Originally, she wanted to find a reason to leave early. While she was unsettled, Dylan spoke first, "Miss Natalie, I have some time next Wednesday. How about we get our marriage certificate picked up then?"

"What? What kind of certificate are you looking for?" Dylan's statements astounded Natalie.

"A marriage certificate," he said again, solemnly. He didn't appear to be joking at all.

"A marriage certificate?" Natalie still did not believe what she had heard. She put her hand on her thigh and pinched it hard to make sure that she was not dreaming, then she stared at the man in front of her with serious eyes.

Dylan had a pair of thick sword-shaped eyebrows, bright eyes, and a beautiful face. He was so eye-catching that others could spot him immediately in a crowd.

His posture and demeanor were grave, and he didn't appear to be impulsive.

They'd only met twice before, yet he stated he wanted to marry her?

Then the man's deep mesmerizing voice reached her ears once more. "I assumed you were similar to me. Going on a blind date with the goal of starting a family, getting married and having children, and living an ordinary life."

"Yes, I think so. But we have just met for the second time. Don't you think it's too fast?" Natalie said. She wanted to start a family of her own, but she didn't expect it to happen so quickly.

"It's a little too quick." Dylan continued on with a serene expression on his face "I went back and thought about it for two days after the initial meeting. You've given me a good vibe. I believe our personalities do not clash, so I'd want to give that a try."

Natalie had a little grimace on her face and seemed unhappy. "Marriage, in my opinion, is not a trivial matter. Try? If this doesn't work out, does it mean you want to..."

Dylan cut her off before she could finish, "Miss Natalie, we are all adults. Of course, we would never yearn for a love that does not even exist. We all know what we want."

Natalie remained silent and fixed her gaze on him.

On the surface, this man appeared to be calm and unassuming. He would be a good husband.

However, could she really hand over the rest of her life to this man whom she had only met twice?

Really?

When Dylan noticed her hesitation, he said, "Maybe it was impatience on my part that I didn't consider your feelings. You have the option to reconsider if you believe I am suitable. I'll be ready when you call."

After returning home that day, Natalie had been thinking about it all night.

She admitted that some of her opinions were similar to those of Dylan.

She, for example, believed that there was no such thing as true love in the world.

She had been deeply hurt and no longer believed in the existence of love in the world.

Natalie called Dylan early the next morning after a restless night to tell him she had accepted his so-called proposal.

In the afternoon, Natalie brought along her passport and went to register their marriage at the City Hall with Dylan.

When they collected theirs and walked out of the City Hall together, she had a mixed feeling.

It was said that marriage is the mark of a new life for women, but now it seemed to be just so simple. All it took was 9 dollars for a certificate that now meant that Natalie Parker legally belonged to Dylan Anderson.

After that, Natalie moved into Dylan's apartment.

Dylan had acted chivalrously that night.

He took the initiative to leave her alone in the main bedroom while he slept in another room.

Natalie had never expected for Dylan to hand over his bank card to her before he went to work today.

They didn't even know each other that well. How could he be so sure of giving all his property to her?

"Natalie, the media reporters, and the directors, as well as the new boss, are all waiting inside. Why are you in such a fog right now?"

Natalie's thinking was interrupted by the severe voice of Megan Williams, the Public Relations Manager.

"Manager Williams, I'm sorry, I'll pay attention," she hastily drew back her thoughts and said with a straight face.

Megan glared at Natalie and said in a harsh tone, "Natalie, despite the fact that you work in the Sales department, your manager has assigned you to the Public Relations Department. You’d better wake up and don't drag me down with you."

Karen pursed her lips and nodded. "I was simply distracted, Manager Williams. It's not going to happen again."

Megan returned her gaze to Natalie before averting her gaze. She clapped her hands and motioned for many staff who were also in charge of reception to come over.

"Everyone should give it their all. Today's press conference must go off without a hitch. We can't afford to make any errors." Megan looked at each employee as she spoke.
