ONE FINE MORNING, on the wide road of the big city, a blazing red Porsche pulled over. Inside the luxurious car were two individuals. The woman who’s in the driver's seat turned her face on the side. “I bet, you remember everything that I’ve instructed, right?” she asked.

The way how she delivered her words, can make someone shiver.

Hendrix Lennon, who’s sitting on the passenger seat, nodded. “Yes!”

The woman raised her left brow as she was expecting more from Hendrix. “And that would be?”

Hendrix heaved a deep sigh. “I must not reveal that you are my WIFE,” he emphasizes the last word.

The woman’s forehead was marked with lines when she heard the word: wife. “Don’t ever mention that word again,” she said.

Hendrix nodded and continued, “I will never look for you without your consent.” He wanted to laugh about it—about everything, but he held it back. “And never mess around,” he said, leveling the woman’s cold tone.

“Great! Now, get off the car!” the woman uttered, coldly.

Hendrix locked his gaze to the woman. The latter then just raised her brow.

“Your company is a little bit far from here. Why don’t you continue to drive until I get there?” he asked, a little bit curious.

Having a short distance towards each other, the woman rolled her eyes at him.

“If my employees saw that their Boss—the CEO, drove someone like YOU into the company—just the two of us… what do you think will happen? What will be the first thing that will come across their minds?” The woman scoffed. “Seriously? Are you thinking or not?” she asked.

Hendrix was stunned for a moment when he realizes what she meant. He nodded and flashed a forced smile. “I get it. What will be your employees' reactions when they see a beautiful lady like you—not to mention that you’re the CEO, and a LOSER like me getting off this car? Of course, it will send misunderstanding.” He flashed a sarcastic smile at her. “I’ll get out of the car,” he said, coldly.

Hendrix then opened the door and hop off the car. Even if he wanted to ruggedly slam the door, close; he still respect the woman.

When he moved away from the Porsche, it sped off away.

INSIDE THE CAR, Athena De Vera frowned when she glanced in the rearview mirror and saw the disappearing figure of Hendrix. The man’s image is enigmatic but the situation she’s in is urgent.

“I’m getting too much stress from my family and marriage is all I can do to avoid it, perhaps,” she whispered.

Being the CEO of La Belleza Naturale Incorporation, and with her well-known beauty in Rome, Athena had encountered ridiculous things in the past two days.

As she was very troubled with the things going on around her. She went to the bar, the night after yesterday… just to relax and have a chill. However, she got drunk. And when she woke up the next day, she was already lying in an unfamiliar bed, inside a hotel. Her clothes were long gone, and a man was lying beside her.

And that was Hendrix Lennon.

Athena is a woman with a strong fighting spirit, envelops with pride, and has her unique character. With it, she would have already handed Hendrix to the police.

However, recently, due to the mess and stress with her family, she got an idea.

It was not even three days when he left the mountain when he met Athena, who was wandering around at the entrance of a bar. Not far away from her, were a few men with their evil intentions towards her.

Looking at the situation, Hendrix was born to help people in need. He then immediately chases those men away.

After that incident, he was about to call the police when he suddenly realized that the woman wasn’t just drunk, but she was drugged.

The situation then became urgent. Therefore, he took Athena to the nearby hotel and used his knowledge to cure her.

And he learned that it was a drug with an aphrodisiac effect that causes things that should not be done between them.

But if he will not help her, the drug may consume her energy. After it happened, he felt to leave Athena. However, he found out something inside the woman’s body when they’re making out—it’s the thing he needs. Thus, he then decided to stay until she wakes up.

He realized that he must be responsible with the woman and on the other hand, he would have the chance to get what he needs.

Accordingly, both of them registered their marriage, instantly. Then, he was arranged to work with the woman’s company and become one of her associates.

Tempted by his thoughts, Hendrix had reached the ground of the company. He looked up at the thirty-story building. After a while, he looked to those staff going in and out of the company.

He could not help but sigh. His wife seemed to be more eligible than he had ever visualized!

He was about to enter the company when a sudden honk and a sharp braking sound of a black Lamborghini stopped beside him.

The window on the driver's seat scrolled down and it showed the face of a man with a pair of aviators. “Are you f’cking blind? You had the guts to block my way!” the man yelled at him.

“I didn’t see—” Hendrix wanted to explain but the man waved his hand, disgustedly.

“Get out of my way if you don’t want to die, stupid!” the man shouted.

One guard at the entrance of the building rushed towards their place and pulled Hendrix aside. The car then sped off into the underground parking lot of the building.

“Dude, this is not the place that suits you. Go away!” The guard waved his hand to Hendrix, dismissing him.

Hendrix's brows furrowed. “I’m here to work,” he said.

“What? You work here?” the guard asked, suspiciously. “I haven’t seen you before!” he added.

Hendrix put his hands inside his pocket and stood tall near the man. The man then looked up to meet his eyes. “First day,” he simply replied which makes the guard frown.

The guard's eyes widened. “The Medical Department is having a recruit today? Why I’m not informed about this?”

Puzzled, the guard still called to confirm Hendrix's identity. And after things were cleared, the guard then allowed him to enter.

When Hendrix stepped inside the building, he smelled a charming fragrance, and then he saw a woman who dressed up alluringly.

And it was at that moment when he remembered that his wife’s company… was mainly engaged with women’s cosmetics. That’s why it’s normal to have so many gorgeous humans being inside.

After a few minutes of wandering, he then finds the Medical Department on the fifth floor of the building. He knocked three times before he pushed it and entered.

Inside the room, he saw a young lady with doll-like hair, a round face, pretty big brown eyes, and her alluring thin lips.

“You are the newcomer, right?” the woman asked.

Hendrix nodded and went closer to her. “Yes. I am Hendrix Lennon. Nice to meet you!” He took the first move to greet her and stretch his hand which makes the woman fly with her thoughts.

After a while, the woman gets back to her senses and quickly reached out to greet him. “M-My name is Shane Montes. Please take a seat,” she said and pointed to the empty seat near him.

Shane was a friendly and bubbly woman which only took Hendrix one morning to get along well with her.

LUNCH BREAK, Shane took him to the cafeteria inside the company, and after they got their food they found a table beside the glass walls and sat down. While they were eating, Shane continued to introduce the company to him and repeatedly introduces some people.

Suddenly, a flare of chatters evaded the cafeteria until silence instantly filled in.

His brows furrowed when he saw Shane’s reaction—the woman is gazing at the back.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, curiously.

Since they’re sitting near each other, Shane nudged him gently and pointed in a direction. “Look over there.”
