简介
"Sign the divorce agreement!" Having been married for five years, her husband heartlessly presented her with a divorce agreement. All because his mistress was pregnant, he wanted to give the child in her womb a legitimate status. She had given in time and time again, only to be kicked out of her own house by her husband. The pressure almost resulted in a miscarriage of their child. Regret began to seep into He Nianchu; in their five years of marriage, he had never loved her. "Fine, Quan Wenlun, I agree to the divorce. From now on, let's stay out of each other’s sight forever." Carrying the signed divorce agreement, she walked away, hoping to end this loveless farce of a marriage. But this time, he was unwilling to let go. He chased after He Nianchu, "Mrs. Quan, this time, it's my turn to pursue you!"

He Nianchu knew that when Quan Wenlun took the initiative to call her over, it definitely wouldn't be good news.

Yet, she still went without hesitation. Who could blame her for being self-deprecating? She just loved that man too much, to the point of no return.

As night just fell, the extravagant villa was lit up. On He Nianchu’s finger was her engagement diamond ring, glaring dazzlingly under the lights.

Yet even the most dazzling diamond couldn't equate to half of what was in front of her.

"Divorce agreement, sign it," Quan Wenlun said casually, later turning his head to lazily light a cigarette, appearing as calm as if the document before her was nothing more than a cheap contract not worth mentioning.

He Nianchu’s hands under the table clenched tightly. Her heart hurt so much it trembled, but a polite and generous smile remained on her face: “Wenlun, what does this mean?"

Quan Wenlun, with an indifferent expression, flicked his cigarette and coldly spoke, “Our marriage was because of grandmother's command. Now that grandmother is on her deathbed, it should end.”

"But grandmother hasn't died yet!" His words infuriated He Nianchu, "Grandmother is still here, and you can say that. Don't you think you're going too far?"

Quan Wenlun turned his gaze, gloomy yet sharp, as if to pierce through He Nianchu, “Is my words going too far, or is my desire for a divorce going too far?”

He Nianchu was taken aback and lost her momentum under his piercing gaze.

"Both are going too far," she turned away to avoid his gaze, seemingly gaining some confidence, "And besides, I won’t agree to divorce. Even grandmother won't agree."

"That's not up to you." Quan Wenlun extinguished his cigarette, his eyes cold and ruthless, “Yiqiao is already pregnant, I want to give her a rightful identity. He Nianchu, be sensible, don't make things look too ugly."

Lin Yiqiao was pregnant?

The news was like a huge rock thrown into He Nianchu’s heart, causing a tremendous uproar.

Her fingers trembling, she clenched her fist tighter. Her fingernails dug into the palm of her hands, the pain unbearable.

"She's pregnant..." She murmured softly. After the initial heartache, anger and unwillingness surged forth.

Lifting her head, her eyes were defiant and angry. "She's pregnant, what does it have to do with me? A mistress who destroyed my marriage, she deserves to be nameless and shareless!"

Quan Wenlun's face suddenly turned cold, shivering all over. "He Nianchu, it was you who forced me to marry you! If anyone is a mistress, it should be you!"

That's right, five years ago, she joined forces with her grandmother to force Quan Wenlun to marry her.

She originally thought that love would arise over time, and that the man would eventually develop genuine feelings for her. But she only understood now that her forced marriage had simply pushed this man further away.

Five years after their marriage, Quan Wenlun never looked at her directly and furthermore, openly cheated. The vicious tricks Lin Yiqiao played behind her back left her humiliated and spurned by everyone.

Now, with her grandmother on her deathbed and Lin Yiqiao pregnant, he wants to kick her out under the pretext of divorce.

Why should she endorse their happiness? Who can she appeal to regarding these five years of bitterness and tears she endured?

She gave a desolate smile and slowly stood up.

"But for now, I am your wife. As for the divorce, I will never agree."

Now she wanted to cut off their last means of survival, to make them both lose.

"He Nianchu!" He lowered his voice and angrily bit out her name, as if he couldn't wait to tear her apart.

He Nianchu firmly clenched her fists and turned to leave without looking back.

"Stop right there!" Quan Wenlun was not about to let her off that easily, and grabbed her wrist with a force that almost crushed her bones. "You must sign the divorce agreement, or else we'll see each other in court! In these five years of married life, I have never once touched you!"

He Nianchu looked up at him, despair welling in her eyes, "Fine, why don't you take it to court and let everyone in City A know about your infidelity over the past five years!”

His rage burst forth, his glare at He Nianchu sharp as daggers, "You..."

"Wen Lun.” A soft and sweet feminine voice broke through the tense atmosphere between him and He Nianchu.

Lin Yiqiao, adorned in a luxurious dress, gently descended the stairs. The elegant smile on her face as she took hold of Quan Wen Lun’s arm diminished his temper a little; only in her presence could he calm down.

With a satirical smile, He Nianchu forcefully ripped her hand free from Quan Wen Lun's grasp, clutching her purse tightly in her attempt to leave.

"Nianchu." Lin Yiqiao called after her, her voice courteous and gentle, "Wen Lun and I are going to a banquet now, so we will not be able to see you off. Please, take care on your way."

This woman was always so elegant and graceful in front of Quan Wen Lun, but behind closed doors, she was nothing but a venomous snake.

Chuckling, He Nianchu turned back and with a pointed remark said, “Yiqiao, you're still so beautiful. I hope you can always remain this beautiful in my husband's eyes. Just be careful not to let him see your true colors."

Lin Yiqiao's eyes opened wide, casting a puzzled look at He Nianchu before turning to Quan Wen Lun, feigning confusion.

Quan Wen Lun placed an arm around her shoulder, consoling her, "Don't mind her ramblings."

Coldly glancing at the affectionate couple before her, He Nianchu tightened her grip on her purse, forcing herself to look away. Standing straight, she made her way out.

She held her breath until she was seated in the car, only then allowing herself to relax.

Leaning back in her seat, she was completely drained.

Pregnant, and facing a divorce.

These two words were like a fish bone, lodged in the throat of He Nianchu, suffocating and uncomfortable.

With a bitter smirk, she rested her head on the steering wheel, swallowing the bitter fruit that this marriage and love had given her alone.

Suddenly, a car horn rang in her ears, and the car lights came on. It was Quan Wenlun driving out.

Lin Yiqiao, holding her luxurious dress, walked delicately to the front of the car. However, she didn't open the car door on her own, she waited for Quan Wenlun to get out of the car and gently help her into the car.

Before the car door could be closed, Lin Yiqiao extended her delicate arm, clasping it around Quan Wenlun's neck, and delivered a sweet kiss, their posture extremely intimate and sweet.

He Nianchu's hand clutching the steering wheel turned pale, her face was even more pallid and wretched.

A pampering smile framed Quan Wenlun's face as he gently closed the car door.

He turned around, glanced over at He Nianchu, his eyes full of disdain.

As if to say, why isn't this woman gone yet, why is she still here being an eyesore?

He Nianchu turned her head stiffly, her cheeks felt cold. She touched them sluggishly, only to find them wet and cold.

She had shed tears without realizing it.
