Day One is the worst day I've had In a while. My soon to be husband seems to be an idiot. I'm smarter than him and my father seems to think I can't run a business. My father always wanted a son yet he got me his only child a daughter which he's hated her entire life. A daughter who is supposed to marry in 60 days organize a wedding and stick with a idiot man her entire life. "Through sickness and in health" well I'm stuck. For life. Help.

"Yes Scarlett" he said back hoping it was brief.

" Father when will you give up the idea to marry me off to that idiot," I replied starting a repeated conversation.

"Stop Scarlett your a Thorn you have to know by now that this conversation is on a repeating loop so you will stop ok?"

" Ok father on one condition you stop insisting that I can't run a business on my own."

" No. End of."

I met Jack Myers today and I hate him. All evening he would not stop about how women should be housewives and manage the house while the men should do the work because it's apparently our job because we are to weak. I got angry stormed out and he still has the audacity to say "damn that girls smart and still hot how," How is this man even in my father's mind as a choice for his only daughter. My mom came to me after the date and she said" Your dad was the same when he met me and I was forced to marry him for money and not love. I was violated and I was still married to a man I've never and most likely will never love." When my mom said that it shook me to my core. I did not want to end up unhappily married to a man who's only interest is to spend my dad's money. My dad's money which he earned off the backs of other people.

When my dad didn't notice or was busy I went into his factory everyone was polite even though my Father treated them like they were dirt he even walked all over them. I walked up to the youngest person there and asked" How old are you," she replied

" I'm 15 why," I was outraged to say the least. My father the man who ran this business had a 15 year old working for him. To put it into perspective I was 13 when I met that girl. I was almost the same age as her yet when my father talked to me about his business and I brought up the girl he said " Scarlett don't worry it's no e of your business running a business you are a girl you cook clean and raise children nothing more. Got it?" My reaction was to automatically say " Yes Father," And leave. So I did I left but with a fire in my eyes he's never seen before.
